Chapter 6: First Ally: Audrey, The Grand Huntress

The sound of pounding echoed against the door.

BOOM.

The wood trembled.

The inquisitor’s amused voice came from the other side.

"Knock knock."

Another explosion shook the entrance.

"I’ve arrived, you damned demon."

A final window appeared before Nox’s eyes.

Nox breathed heavily while staring at Audrey crying in front of him.

His mind was racing too fast.

’A title... a title...’

He looked at the girl.

Audrey was a hunter.

She lived in the mountains.

She was strong.

Fast.

And she had just lost everything.

Then an idea appeared in his head.

Nox swallowed hard.

"...The Grand Huntress."

The window shone brightly.

The door trembled violently again.

But at that exact moment...

Nox’s eyes glowed with a dark red light.

He felt something surge through his entire body.

A monstrous energy.

Hot.

Violent.

As if something was awakening inside him.

Nox fell to his knees.

The energy burst out from his body directly toward Audrey.

Black lightning began exploding around her body.

The wind inside the cabin started swirling around her.

Audrey was still crying.

The girl slowly stood up while the dark energy continued wrapping around her body.

Claws let out a growl and approached her.

Audrey slowly lowered her gaze toward the small bear.

Then placed a hand on his head.

Audrey’s eyes glowed.

"Claws..."

A dark symbol appeared on the girl’s arm.

Then the energy began spreading toward the bear.

Claws roared.

CRACK.

His bones started growing.

The small furry body expanded violently.

His paws became enormous.

The claws lengthened until they resembled gigantic knives.

The bear began taking up almost the entire room.

The wood creaked beneath his weight.

Nox’s eyes widened.

"...What the hell?"

BOOM.

The inquisitor slammed against the door again.

"Come on, invite me inside so we can have a little fun."

Several cracks spread across the wood.

Meanwhile, a new window appeared before Nox’s eyes.

[First Heroine Converted Into Villain.]

[Audrey — The Grand Huntress.]

Then Nox’s body began to ache.

"AGH—!"

He felt his bones lengthening.

Cracking.

Shifting.

Pain tore through his entire body.

His black hair slowly started growing longer.

His arms and legs stretched out.

Even his small horns seemed larger.

The underwear he was wearing suddenly became far too tight.

Nox breathed heavily as he slowly stood up.

He looked toward Audrey.

She was still bigger than him.

But not nearly as much as before.

Part of the door exploded inward.

The heat from the flaming spear began entering the cabin.

Without thinking too much or reading the descriptions, he quickly pointed at one option.

And Nox’s body suddenly felt much lighter.

Audrey slowly lifted one of Elsa’s enormous bows.

Then she grabbed several knives from Sienna’s collection and strapped them around her waist.

Dark energy still wrapped around her.

Her eyes were filled with tears.

But also fury.

"...I’m going to avenge them."

Claws roared beside her.

The door finally shattered completely.

The inquisitor stepped through the entrance wrapped in flames.

And at that same instant...

"CLAAAAAWS!"

The massive bear launched forward like an uncontrollable beast.

BOOOOM.

The inquisitor barely had time to react before being crushed into the snow.

The ground outside the cabin shook violently.

Claws roared as he slammed his gigantic claws around the woman.

The inquisitor smiled beneath the monster.

"Oh?"

Her flaming spear erupted with fire.

The heat began burning the bear’s fur.

But Claws didn’t retreat.

Because he could feel Audrey’s rage.

The fury.

The pain.

And he wanted to destroy the enemy who had made his new friend cry.

Audrey slowly stepped out of the cabin.

The snow melted around her alongside the dark lightning.

Then she raised Elsa’s giant bow.

Nox’s eyes widened.

Black energy began gathering around the string.

Slowly forming a massive dark arrow.

The magical pressure made the air vibrate.

The inquisitor burst into laughter while still trapped beneath Claws.

"HAHAHA!"

Flames exploded around her body as she tried to burn the bear.

"Now this is getting fun!"

Claws roared furiously while enduring the flames.

The snow melted around both of them.

Audrey slowly aimed the bow at the inquisitor.

Her hands trembled.

Her eyes were filled with tears.

"...This is for Elsa."

The energy continued growing.

"...And for Sienna."

Nox remained inside the cabin, watching everything.

Not knowing what to do.

His heart was still pounding hard.

The inquisitor was terrifying.

Really terrifying.

But Audrey was terrifying now too.

The dark energy surrounding her made her look like a completely different person.

Nox slowly swallowed.
