Gacha System- I Inherited Dual Cultivation Legacy
Chapter 23: Lifespan and Plan
Inside the Pagoda;
Several kilometers away from a small house;
"Ahhhhhhh!"
A soul-wrenching scream could be heard from afar. It came from a young man whose body was covered in different tools.
[Host, you are evil!]
Even the system spirit felt it was too much. It had never thought its Host would be so vile.
Of course, Marx wasn’t evil, but the hatred in his heart wouldn’t die without torturing this man.
Since Marx didn’t have the power to heal his body while burning him or putting him on poisonous needles, he chose another option.
He used different tools to destroy the insides of his butt and even his little brother. These tools came with different spike levels and even different shapes.
So, they were very torturous.
After putting him through this kind of torture, the anger in his heart had finally calmed down.
In fact, if his parents had completely died, he didn’t know if this anger would’ve ever disappeared.
"Please, please kill me! Please!"
The young man begged him, with blood flowing down his eyes. At this moment, he truly didn’t know how he had managed to survive.
He just wanted to die. Was it so hard?
Marx took out a chair and sat in front of him.
"I agree! I am tired of using physical torture. I am planning on using the Eternal Fire of Hell to torture your soul for two hundred years."
"Noooooo!"
Although the young man didn’t know about the Eternal Fire of Hell, just the thought of going through the torture for two hundred years felt impossible.
Just two hours of torture had already pushed his mind to the brink of destruction. So, he couldn’t imagine what two hundred years could do.
"Hmm! I also don’t want to waste that fire on you. You are just a cog in the machine. But if you want me to kill you, you must transfer my hatred to someone else."
"Do you understand what I’m saying?"
He asked.
"MhmmMfff! Yes, yess, I will tell you everything. Everything, just kill me!"
The young man shuddered for a moment before he nodded frantically. He just wanted to die.
As for who he planned to blame, of course it would be his sect.
So, he went to great lengths, explaining everything single thing he knew about his sect, including their future plans.
Of course, he was just an inner court disciple and also a new one, so he didn’t know everything.
But what he knew shocked Marx.
He never thought the Thousand Beasts Controlling Sect had such a powerful trump card. No wonder they were able to start a war against the righteous sects.
Currently, there were only three Evil Sects: Thousand Beasts Controlling Sect, Ancient Soul Sect, and Myriad Poison Sect.
On the other hand, just the Righteous side had more than five major sects: Sacred Sword Sect, True Thunder Sect, Dawn Phoenix Sect, Golden Dragon Sect, and Great Enlightenment Sect.
There was also the Neutral Side, which had three major sects: the Primal Origin Sect, the Blue Haven Sect, and the Yin-Yang Controlling Sect.
Thinking about it, if the Evil Sect decided to bring down the entire country under their control, they would be facing the Eight Great Sects.
There were also minor sects, but they weren’t that important. They had one Golden Core cultivator in their sect.
These sects didn’t even have a legacy for more than five hundred years.
Because the lifespan of the Golden Core Realm was up to seven hundred years at most, using different life-force-increasing pills.
The lifespan of the cultivators was very simple.
The Qi Sea Realm could live up to a hundred and twenty years, but their actual lifespan was a hundred years.
The Foundation Establishment Realm could live up to two hundred and twenty years, of which one hundred and twenty was the reward of reaching this realm.
The Golden Core Realm could live up to six hundred and sixty years because the actual increase was four hundred and forty years, and two hundred and twenty years were added from before.
The Nascent Soul Realm could live up to two thousand years because they get an addition of twelve hundred and twenty years just by reaching this realm.
On top of their previous six hundred and sixty years. Of course, a lot of that lifespan could’ve been used up.
Even if that’s the case, as long as they improve their cultivation, they could still live for quite a long time.
That’s why only Major Sects had Nascent Soul cultivators. They were basically the backbone of the sect.
A major sect could have multiple Nascent Soul Cultivators, but only the Supreme Elder would appear in public.
It wasn’t to fool other Great Sects but just to fool emerging forces. If those forces became foolish enough to challenge those sects, they would immediately be destroyed.
After all, as part of the righteous or neutral sides, those eight sects couldn’t attack other forces without a compelling reason.
And nobody, not even the righteous side, wanted another competitor in their region.
True Thunder Sect was located closest to their current location.
The Azure Sword City came under the rule of the Sacred Sword Sect.
But most of this information wasn’t that useful. The ambition of those three sects was known to every cultivator.
What’s truly insane is their trump card.
A Leviathan!
A creature that could destroy the entire Niddhog Country within less than an hour if left unchecked.
It was a creature of the sky that could rival the Dragons.
It turned out the founder of the Thousand Beasts Sect had found an Egg of this creature twelve thousand years ago.
So, he created the entire sect just to control the young Leviathan. Unfortunately, the time it took to break out of its shell was twelve thousand years.
After such a long time, even though it was only a newborn, it had the power of a Nascent Soul Cultivator, which was a Beast Grandmaster.
More importantly, if they sacrificed enough life forms to feed it, they could raise it to the Beast Lord Realm.
In that realm, there would be no one to stop them from conquering this country. Of course, the problem was the other Eight Great Sects.
So, the Thousand Beasts Sect had allied with the Eight Great Sects to buy them some time to grow stronger and fight those Eight Sects.
Strictly speaking, those three sects couldn’t live without each other.
If they lose even one of them, the Five Righteous Sects will immediately combine their forces to destroy them all.
So, even if the other two Sects didn’t want to join forces, they had no choice.
Upon learning about this news, Marx finally understood the timeline of this war.
The war that was supposed to start within five years. It was this war, and it would last fifty years.
Considering that Yuki didn’t seem to be a part of the Evil Sects and the fact that Sonya reached the Spiritual Transformation Realm, the Evil Sects didn’t win.
Of course, this wouldn’t be a major problem.
He was pretty much sure that Sonya, the one whose family was supposed to be destroyed, basically rose to power and defeated the Evil Sects.
After all, why couldn’t females be the protagonists of the world?
She ticked all the boxes for becoming the protagonist.
Losing her family, gaining an inheritance, having a close friend who can’t keep up!
Unfortunately, it seemed like Yuki was a hidden protagonist with a cheat that she never got to explore in that life.
Of course, all of this was just an assumption. The Niddhog Country wasn’t the major powerhouse in this world.
There were many stronger countries, and that made sense considering the size of this world.
The entire Niddhog Country was just as big as Asia on Earth, but it was one of the smaller countries in the Divine Wind Continent.
"So, that’s all you know?"
Marx showed a look of disbelief, pulling out one of the tools he used to torture the man.
"Yes, yes, I’ve told you everything. I swore on my soul that I have not left anything."
The young man shouted with a frightened expression.
Marx wanted to get his cultivation technique and spells, but considering he already had a system and his hatred for that sect, he chose not to ask about it.
"Alright! I will give you a simple death."
He said before pulling out a sword from his spatial ring. Without much hesitation, he beheaded the young man.
He raised his hand, and the power of devouring appeared in his palm. The purple gas surrounded him and devoured his body in an instant.
He looked at the torture tools for a moment.
He decided to keep these tools in case he might need them in the future.
After washing those tools, he placed them further away from his house.
That’s right! He had a house inside the pagoda.
Of course, he didn’t build this house.
He just bought it.
