Very soon, several watched the video. They felt chills crawl up their spines. This new guild member was very ruthless. From when some of the guild members were discussing how to get rid of him and reap the benefits of his mission, to how he swiftly deleted them from existence through tactical acumen without hesitation.

After that, he went ahead and used the corpses of the dead guild members to lure bloodthirsty fire chaotic beasts to where the bandits of the Southern Mountain range were. The chaotic beasts ended up killing all the bandits for him; he didn’t even have to lift a finger.

Several guild members with the Principle of Space, and others with different principles, were impressed at his ingenious way of using the Principle of Space and the environment to his advantage. Not everyone could come up with such methods to deal with an enemy. Many were wondering how he had managed to think of such a brilliant method in the first place.

This Kailen Darkhaven was very terrifying. He could not be underestimated. Having someone like him as an enemy would be very dangerous. From the video they had watched, the guild members drew one conclusion about him: He was always several steps ahead of his enemies.

Many made mental notes to not offend him. Some, who already harbored similar thoughts to the four guild members he killed, were thankful for not acting impulsively. The way Kailen Darkhaven killed them was not terrifying.

Naturally, the guild did not hold Kailen Darkhaven accountable for the deaths of the four guild members.

Was he supposed to be silent when they wanted to kill him? The Dawnseer Guild was a very pragmatic place.

The video of Kailen Darkhaven’s mission spread across the Castelan district of Richtchard City.

Several were discussing him and paying attention to him. In fact, the video spread to the other districts of the city. Each of the other districts had a guild there; they were all paying attention to this Kailen Darkhaven.

None of them openly made a move against him, though. It was not worth openly offending the Dawnseer Guild.

However, they decided to secretly send assassins after him.

The National Guild Union competitions were coming up soon. The five guilds in the city districts would be competing against each other. The guild which came out on top would proceed to the inter-city competitions.

If this fellow managed to grow stronger and join the other geniuses of the Dawnseer Guild, they would have more competition to deal with. It was best to eliminate him secretly before he became a problem. They didn’t have any hard feelings against Kailen Darkhaven; to them, he was simply an unknown variable that had to be removed before he became a problem.

In a conference room at the highest floor of the guild, several influential figures of the guild were seated at a round table. A holographic screen was currently displaying Kailen’s just-completed mission video. Finally, the video came to an end.

Guild Leader Dawnseer had a smug smile on her face. These fellows were equally stunned by Kailen Darkhaven’s unconventional methods too, huh.

"What do you all think?" she asked.

One of the guild higher-ups, a centaur, spoke. "So this is the new guild member with a high principle comprehension level. There’s only one word I have to describe him: This fellow is better having an ally than an enemy."

"I agree."

"That’s what I was thinking, too."

"Indeed."

Several glints of agreement flashed through the eyes of the other guild higher-ups as they murmured in agreement. Guild Leader Dawnseer nodded in agreement; she liked their response. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

"The other four guilds in the other districts will definitely send assassins after him secretly. What do we do?" one of the guild higher-ups spoke.

The room turned silent.

Everyone understood perfectly why the other four guilds would resort to such methods. If they were in the situation of the other four guilds in the city, they would resort to the same thing.

Everyone turned to look at the guild leader. She had that smirk again. What was she planning? they thought.

Finally, she said, "I did a little background research on Kailen Darkhaven. Turns out he’s the first transcendent from the light region of the universe. And his feats there... hah... see it for yourselves. Also, keep it to yourselves. Let everyone keep assuming he’s from the edge region," she added. "I’ve already almost emptied the guild bank account to keep this information about him secret for as long as possible. Too much attention to him could mean too much trouble for him. As for the assassins those bastards sent, I will leave the weaker ones to him and handle the stronger ones myself."

Everyone nodded in understanding at the guild leader’s words. They proceeded to go through the information about Kailen Darkhaven from when he was in the light region of the universe. They were all extremely shocked.

This fellow... was terrifying.

Everyone in the room came from the edge region of the universe, and they had never encountered anyone with such terrifying feats before they became a transcendent. Although his past feats in the light region of the universe did not in any way equate the same outcome in the chaotic region—since every transcendent, regardless of feats in the past before they became a transcendent, literally embarked on a new path of cultivation after becoming a transcendent—there was one thing they found out from what they had just discovered about him that was common with how he handled the Southern Mountain range mission: He was terrifyingly adaptable. And he had a terrifying ability to scheme. What made him very dangerous was his mind.

Of course, they all understood that he needed to have the strength to back this personality of his in the future, else it could only get him so far.

But if he managed to grow stronger and still remain adaptable and very scheming, he was bound to become someone very dangerous in the empire.

Guild Leader Dawnseer saw the expressions on their faces. She said, "It seems you all get why I am willing to go so far for him. Our guild has found someone who can help us soar to higher heights in the future."

Everyone nodded with gleeful expressions in their eyes.
