The moment the participants entered the natural secret realm, a sudden force blew them across different directions, widely separating them from each other. Kailen had entered with Julian, but now, Julian was nowhere to be found. Some participants who had gotten acquainted with one another to temporarily work together could only resort to relying on their individual ability.

Currently, Kailen looked around. He was floating on a vast ocean which spread towards all directions. The place was very misty. The high humidity made the place very foggy. Kailen figured it was morning in the natural secret realm.

Kailen activated his principle of space. He melded with the void and disappeared. But, he reappeared not too far from where he previously was.

"I see." Realization dawned on him.

When he arrived here, he figured that the weight bearing down on him was very profound. Kailen could not put a finger on it. But he now had an inkling of how this secret realm operated.

"The gravitational field in this secret realm is very strong. One needs to exert more principle power to move around or even launch attacks," Kailen mused to himself. His eyes flickered with a glint again. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮

This time, when he activated the principle of space, he focused on using every bit of his principle power. He melded with the void and reappeared a very long distance away from where he previously was. Although he was still on the ocean and land was nowhere near in sight, the difference between the first and second try was undeniable.

"Looks like I really have to go all out in this secret realm," Kailen mused inwardly.

With his principle of space activated, he scanned the place. Kailen saw various chaotic beasts of different shapes and sizes lurking beneath the ocean depths. Some of them were actually Rank 4 and Rank 5 novice-stage chaotic beasts. Fortunately for him, they were not in his immediate vicinity.

He also noticed that at other places in the ocean depths, there were Rank 3 novice-stage chaotic beasts lurking beneath the ocean depths.

"I should focus on hunting for the chaotic beasts and securing first place. If I encounter anyone who has a problem with me being first ranked, then I will just deal with them," Kailen thought.

His aim was not to go around killing other participants, as that would directly contribute to him gaining first place on the ranking. The objective was to kill enough chaotic beasts and secure first place on the rankings. However, he was not naive enough to think that others, especially Tawaki Xi, would not come looking for him. That, however, did not mean he’d waste his time going to look for them. But if anyone brought themselves, he wouldn’t hesitate to put an end to them.

Several among the audience were watching Kailen Darkhaven carefully. What would be his next step? Of course, he was not the only one people were paying attention to.

Anyway, Kailen melded with the void and reappeared at a different place on the sea. He had spotted three Rank 3 novice-stage chaotic beasts here.

The moment Kailen appeared there, the three Rank 3 novice-stage chaotic beasts noticed his presence. They rose from the sea depths, their rise causing large waves to rise. Some watching the broadcast had their mouths hanging wide open at this point. What was Kailen Darkhaven doing? Was he sure he could handle these powerful creatures?

They were ginormous; each one had the size of several mountains clustered together. Kailen looked very tiny as he floated before them.

One creature looked like a sea dragon and had the principle of lightning. It had deep, malevolent blue eyes, and azure lightning flickered across its ancient-looking serpentine figure. Another looked like some sort of shark. It had the principle of ice. When it rose from the depths, ice flashed past its figure, and the temperature turned very cold. The last one had a tortoise scale, and the head and the body of a large gorilla. It had the principle of water. Water circled across its figure.

The three chaotic beasts were very overbearing. Some Rank 3 novice-stage transcendents watching the stream even felt that a single one of them could crush them into nothing with a single principle attack.

The trio stared at the tiny creature that had just disturbed their rest. Glints of disdain flickered through their eyes—a testament that they had some sentience.

As for Kailen, he merely stared at them, his long coat and hair billowing, his back straight like a palm tree. The rising waves from the rise of the creatures crushed towards him. However, an ethereal hue appeared around his figure, stopping the waves from approaching further.

The three creatures decided to attack him at the same time. The sea dragon roared. A lightning ball formed in its mouth, causing azure lights to flicker in and out of the place. Several large shards of ice formed in front of the shark. As for the gorilla chimera, a large staff made of water formed and appeared in its hand.

At the same time, the large shards of ice, the lightning ball, and the large water staff blasted towards the puny creature looking at them with pride in its eyes. Their attacks seemed overwhelming. Several Rank 3 novice-stage transcendents watching the stream felt that just the aftershocks of even a single attack of one of the creatures could erase them from existence.

Kailen Darkhaven was very strong—so strong that he was considered someone who had a high possibility of obtaining first place. But, could he withstand the attacks of these creatures? He could have chosen weaker targets, right?

As the attacks blasted towards Kailen, he simply stretched his right hand sideways. The void across him rippled, twisting and turning. A large spatial katana appeared in his hand. It gleamed with an ethereal light, causing the void to twist and bend.

He took a step forward, crossing several distances in a moment above the sea, spatial katana in hand. Many had eyes open in shock. He was rushing towards the attacks?

A single swing. The katana came down. It met with the colossal water staff, the ball of lightning, and the shards of ice.

Then, something unimaginable happened.
