Chapter 49: CH. 49 | Three Restrictions for Wu Yue

"You want to seal me?!" Wu Yue complained.

"I’ll give you three simple restrictions: do not damage my sect, do not hurt my disciples, and do not leave the sect."

"If you agree to the conditions I give you, I will grant you freedom," Lin Tian replied.

Wu Yue fell silent for a moment.

Her mind and thoughts raced wildly as she tried to determine whether the three conditions Lin Tian proposed were worth her freedom.

Although she still held deep hatred toward Lin Tian, she had no problem with his disciples, especially after getting to know Luo Mei.

With her current ability, it would be difficult for Wu Yue to cause significant damage to the Lingxian Sect.

She also could not do that because the other disciples would immediately act once they realized Wu Yue was trying to destroy the sect.

Lin Tian gave a short nod.

Both of his hands rose to chest height and began forming hand seals, then he shot a white qi beam from the tip of his hand forward, striking Wu Yue’s forehead directly.

Wu Yue’s body lifted into the air, accompanied by a tornado-like gust of wind surrounding her.

The woman felt pain, but it was not too strong.

The effect of a restriction seal would indeed cause pain to its target.

"I, Lin Tian, with the Restriction Seal Technique, implant restrictions into your body, mind, and soul."

"You may not cause damage within the sect. You may not harm other disciples. You may not escape and leave the sect."

"I, Wu Yue, agree to the restriction seal conditions spoken by Master Lin Tian!" the woman declared firmly.

Lin Tian fell silent. His right hand continued releasing the white qi beam, while his left hand moved in front of his chest, forming a simple hand seal used to activate the restriction seal inside Wu Yue’s body.

"Restriction Seal... activate!"

A burst of white qi erupted from Wu Yue’s body, followed by a groan of pain spreading throughout her entire body, making her joints ache, her heart pound rapidly, and her breathing grow wild and uneven.

THUMP!

"Master Wu?" Luo Mei called.

Wu Yue glanced over and smiled brightly, raising her hand and waving to greet Luo Mei.

Luo Mei looked extremely happy. She ran toward Wu Yue and told her that the white rune formation dome had disappeared.

"Now, you can walk outside and see the other activities in the sect," Luo Mei said.

"Yes. I’m happy and relieved to be free from the Pill Refinement Hall," Wu Yue said.

Luo Mei smiled emotionally, then turned to the side, cupped both hands, and lowered her head obediently toward Lin Tian.

Now, he was outside near the backyard. An Yue and An Xiao stepped closer.

"What happened?" An Yue asked.

"I freed Wu Yue. She will become part of our sect," Lin Tian answered, turning to look at An Yue. "I hope all of you treat her well."

An Yue agreed with a small hum, then turned to look toward the Pill Refinement Hall.

"Elder Wu Yue has helped Luo Mei a lot. Our perception of her has started to change a little."

"Maybe she can teach other disciples who are interested in the field of alchemy," An Yue said.

"That’s a good thing. Try to talk with Wu Yue often and make her feel comfortable staying in the Lingxian Sect."

"I understand, Master Lin."

Lin Tian shifted his attention to the side of An Yue, precisely toward An Xiao.

"I will leave in a few days to take back the Natural Spiritual Veins that were stolen."

"I ask you to help Yue’er manage the sect’s needs," Lin Tian requested.

An Xiao cupped her hands and lowered her head.

The man before them tapped his bag of holding and took out two pouches of spirit stones. He handed the two black pouches to An Yue.

Lin Tian nodded. He flew quickly and left the Lingxian Sect.

An Yue and An Xiao raised their heads, watching Lin Tian’s trail of white spiritual qi in the sect’s sky, heading south.

An Xiao glanced briefly and saw the expression on An Yue’s face.

She looked so cheerful, with a sweet smile spreading widely across her lips. The woman immediately used that moment to tease her.

"I wonder... what kind of woman does Master Lin like?"

An Yue panicked and became flustered, then turned to the side with her face blushing red.

"W-What?"

"I’m your older sister, Yu’er."

"Tell me... you like him, don’t you?"
