Heretic Trainer: The Gym Is My Cultivation Method
Chapter 597: The Loudest Room In The Arena
Dahlia stared at Rovak for a moment before suddenly thinking of something. "Hey."
Rovak raised an eyebrow. "Hm?"
Dahlia crossed her arms and leaned against the wall of the waiting hall. "You seem to know this tournament better than me."
Rovak grinned. "Of course. I’ve been in this territory longer than you."
"Good." Dahlia pointed toward the tournament bracket displayed nearby. "Then explain some of the fighters I need to watch out for."
Rovak blinked, then laughed loudly. "Hahaha! Asking your future opponent for advice? You’re pretty shameless."
Dahlia grinned back. "I’m Master’s disciple. Of course I’m shameless."
Rovak froze for a second.
Then he burst into even louder laughter. "Hahaha! Damn, you really are Garion’s disciple!"
He walked beside her and looked at the bracket. "Fine. Since you’re Garion’s disciple, I’ll explain a few dangerous ones."
Dahlia’s eyes sharpened slightly. "Good."
Rovak pointed toward one name. "First, watch out for Veyra Thornclaw. Beast-type race. Fast, brutal, and her claws are poisonous. She likes ending fights quickly."
Dahlia nodded. "Poison claws. Got it."
Rovak pointed at another name. "Then there’s Kaldren Mourn. Bone Demon Race. His body is weird as hell. Normal attacks don’t work well because he can shift his bones around and regenerate damaged parts."
Dahlia grinned. "Sounds annoying."
"Very annoying," Rovak said honestly.
Then his finger moved again. "And this one, Seraphine Vale. Looks calm, but don’t underestimate her. She’s from the Spirit Wing Race and specializes in speed, air movement, and long-range energy attacks."
Dahlia rubbed her chin. "So she flies around and shoots people?"
"Pretty much."
Rovak’s grin widened as he finally pointed at his own name. "And of course, me."
Dahlia slowly looked at him.
Rovak proudly tapped his chest. "Rovak of the Drakhor Race. Strong body, strong fists, and handsome enough to scare weaklings."
Dahlia stared at him silently.
Then she laughed. "Hahaha! You’re funny."
Rovak grinned. "That means you understand my greatness."
"No," Dahlia replied immediately. "It means I understand why Master likes you."
Rovak paused.
Then both of them laughed at the same time.
For a moment, the waiting hall felt strangely lively.
Then Dahlia looked back at the bracket, her grin becoming sharper. "Good. Thanks for the explanation."
Rovak crossed his arms. "No problem."
Then his eyes burned with battle intent again. "But don’t get eliminated before fighting me."
Dahlia cracked her knuckles. "Same to you."
Her smile widened. "I still need to show you how strong Master’s first disciple really is."
---
Rovak looked at the tournament bracket for a while before suddenly turning back toward Dahlia. "By the way..."
Dahlia raised an eyebrow. "What?"
Rovak grinned. "Is your master here?"
Dahlia nodded casually. "Yeah. He’s watching from a private room."
Rovak’s eyes immediately lit up. "Good! Then let’s go meet him."
Dahlia blinked. "Right now?"
"Of course." Rovak crossed his arms. "There are thirty-two matches in the first round. This whole thing should take around three to four days."
He glanced toward the arena entrance. "Not everyone is as fast as you and me. Some fights will probably drag on for a long time."
Dahlia thought about it for a moment.
That did make sense.
Her fight had ended quickly because Karn was far weaker than her, but that didn’t mean every battle would end the same way.
If all thirty-two matches happened properly, it would definitely take time.
Dahlia looked back at Rovak. "We can leave the waiting room?"
Rovak laughed loudly. "Of course. As long as we return before our next match, nobody cares."
Dahlia grinned. "Good."
She stretched her arms lazily before standing up. "Then let’s go to my master’s room."
Rovak nodded with excitement. "Hahaha! Perfect."
The two immediately walked out of the participant waiting hall.
As they moved through the corridor, several other fighters glanced at them in surprise.
After all, Dahlia had just crushed her opponent, and Rovak had also won with overwhelming strength.
Seeing both of them walking together naturally made people nervous.
Dahlia noticed the looks and grinned. "Seems like they’re scared of us."
Rovak laughed. "Good. That means they have eyes."
Dahlia glanced at him.
Then she smirked. "No wonder Master gets along with you."
Rovak grinned proudly. "Hahaha! Your master has good taste in friends."
---
Dahlia and Rovak soon arrived in front of Garion’s private viewing room.
The door opened automatically, and the two walked inside without much hesitation.
Garion, who had been sitting comfortably on the sofa, immediately turned his head.
Then he blinked. "Oh?"
Inside the room, Slifera and Elisa also looked toward the entrance.
The moment they saw Dahlia and Rovak walking in together, both of them froze for a brief second.
Slifera’s mouth twitched. "Why are you two together?"
Elisa also looked slightly surprised, though she quickly regained her calm expression.
Rovak was about to laugh loudly, but then his eyes suddenly landed on Alira, who was sitting quietly on the side.
His voice instantly lowered. "...Miss Alira."
Alira glanced at him and nodded once. "No need to be stiff. I’m only watching the tournament."
Rovak coughed lightly and scratched the back of his head. "Right."
Garion looked between Dahlia and Rovak with curiosity. "Wait a second. Isn’t the tournament still going on?"
Before Dahlia could answer, Elisa calmly explained first. "They already finished their matches today, so they’re allowed to leave the waiting room."
Garion raised an eyebrow. "Oh? That’s allowed?"
Elisa nodded. "The first round has thirty-two matches. Usually, it takes around three to four days to finish everything."
Slifera leaned back slightly and added, "Not every fight ends as fast as Dahlia’s. Some matches drag on for a long time, especially when both sides are defensive or cautious."
Elisa continued, "Because of that, participants who already fought for the day are allowed to leave, as long as they return before their next scheduled match."
Garion slowly nodded in understanding. "I see."
Then his eyes shifted toward Dahlia and Rovak again. "So you two finished early and came here?"
Dahlia grinned proudly. "Of course. My match ended too fast."
Rovak laughed. "Mine was a little more fun, but yeah, I won too."
Garion smiled wider. "Hahaha! Good."
He pointed toward the seats. "Then sit down. Since everyone’s here, we might as well watch the rest together."
