Heroes' Prison
Chapter 1656 - 1582: 8th Stage of the Hall of Extinction! Memories of the Demon Realm!
Huang Yi tightly gripped the Reaper’s Scythe, slowly feeling his way forward in the dark, ears perked up, always paying attention to the surrounding sounds.
Obert had seriously emphasized that the Hall of Extinction consisted of Nine Layers, each layer more dangerous than the last, but the treasures enshrined in each layer grew more powerful as well.
Void God experts usually found it difficult to even break through the first layer, and even True Gods might fall upon reaching the Fourth Layer. As for beyond the Seventh Layer, only Main Gods had the strength to explore them.
As time ticked by, Huang Yi followed the trace of the blood scent and walked a long distance, yet the surroundings remained quiet and still.
No sound, no light, no danger at all.
He gradually became puzzled. Why did the Hall of Extinction, claimed to be extremely dangerous, show no sign of activity to him?
Even if he was the New Generation of Grim Reaper, he shouldn’t be treated this way; there must be some other reason.
He let go of his hesitations, deliberately making some noise, even trying to take out torches and Luminous Pearls from his storage ring for illumination, but these items failed completely, not emitting a glimmer of light.
"Thunk!" At this moment, Huang Yi suddenly bumped into a shelf, touching something displayed on it.
He reached out to feel the object, sensing its outline, gradually identifying it as a long weapon, likely a Trident.
The Formation of the Hall of Extinction limited the removal of items; only one item could be taken each visit, even the Hall Master back in the day was no exception. This is only the first layer, not the best treasure, not worth taking.
Huang Yi immediately put the Trident down and continued forward.
He moved on and encountered other shelves, discovering various items like War Hammers, Magic Wands, masks, Halberds, hammers, ribbons, and spheres.
Gradually, he came to a staircase, where the blood scent wafted down from above.
He climbed the stairs to the second layer of the Hall of Extinction, which remained as dark and devoid of danger as the previous one.
He kept following the blood scent upwards, climbing layer by layer.
"Fourth Layer!" Huang Yi muttered to himself in the darkness. This was known as a place where even True Gods might fall, yet he still hadn’t encountered any danger and could continue to higher layers.
Gradually, he reached the seventh layer, which was supposed to be accessible only to Main Gods, yet he was still unscathed. He even suspected that Obert might have been intentionally scaring him, and that perhaps the Hall of Extinction held no real danger.
Just then, he felt his way to another staircase, climbed it quickly as before.
As he took the final step, light finally appeared before his eyes!
This layer was still enveloped in darkness except for a door at the end which emitted a blood-red glow, the only Light Source Huang Yi had seen since entering the Hall of Extinction, like a beacon guiding him there.
Meanwhile, the blood scent reached its peak; the mysterious entity related to him was on this layer.
The ninth layer of the Hall of Extinction was reserved for enshrining the Reaper’s Scythe. The item enshrined on this eighth layer was the most powerful, aside from the Reaper’s Scythe itself.
Huang Yi strode forward to the blood-red glowing door.
This door was closed, but it stood isolated in the middle of the hall, with nothing surrounding it. Huang Yi walked around to the back of the door, but there was nothing there.
This was probably a Space Transfer Portal like the Demon King’s Gate and the first 100 cells of Heroes’ Prison, meant to teleport to another scenario.
Huang Yi stood in front of the door, took a deep breath, and pushed it open.
In an instant, a surge of blood-red light burst forth, engulfing Huang Yi, drawing him inside.
A dizzying sensation overcame him, and after a long while, he found himself in a new place.
Beneath the blood-red clouds, was a battlefield of slaughter, where billions of beings fought fiercely on the ground, deafening war drums echoed, and numerous experts battled fiercely in the sky. Corpses fell like raindrops, crushing many creatures below.
One faction wore blood-red battle gear, raising flags of blood, surging through the battlefield like a torrent of blood, gaining the upper hand. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
The opposing side hoisted black flags, embroidered with a War Blade. Their weapons were all types of Blade Class weapons, and they were steadily retreating.
"Mad Blade, stop struggling. Two-thirds of the Demon Realm’s Demon Gods have already submitted to me; you won’t be an exception!" Suddenly, a domineering voice echoed from above the clouds, exuding a sovereign aura.
"Hmph! They’re just cowards! I, Mad Blade, am not afraid of you, you damned Tyrant!" another coarse voice replied rudely.
Tyrant!
Huang Yi was stunned upon hearing that name, staring blankly at the blood-red clouds!
So, the mysterious entity related to him was connected to the Tyrant!
His Divine Class was Tyrant, the Tyrant was a once-renowned Demon God of the Demon Realm, having established an immortal Divine Nation within the Demon Realm. Countless denizens were under his control, and even other Demon Gods dared not provoke him, some even bowed to his might.
During the era of the Tyrant, when the Death God had vanished and the God of Space was in seclusion, with the two main gods of the Demon Realm absent, Tyrant nearly unified the entire Demon Realm, barring the Space Temple and Death God’s Temple, through years of conquest, only to fail at the last moment.
In terms of ambition, Tyrant could be considered a predecessor to the Barbarian God, who now also seeks to unify the entire Demon Realm, nearing the achievements of the Tyrant’s era.
This scene clearly depicted the Tyrant attacking Mad Blade. Mad Blade was also a powerful Main God of the Demon Realm, a battle-hungry warrior with strength matching the Tyrant. However, as history would have it, Mad Blade was ultimately defeated and killed, his Divine Soul falling to the God’s Tomb in the Underworld, only to be merged with Dao Feng and reincarnated recently.
"Very well! This King has always known your love for battle. Since you wish to fight, this King shall grant you an epic battle. You excel in sword techniques, and it happens that this King has forged an unrivaled blade, which I’ll use to honor your end, ensuring you die in satisfaction!" The Tyrant’s arrogant voice reverberated through the heavens once more.
"What a joke! Competing in Sword Techniques with me is a death wish! Once you’re dead, your unrivaled blade shall become my trophy!" Mad Blade laughed wildly.
Followed by thunderous battle noises erupting above the blood-red clouds, it was a battle of the ages between two Main God powerhouses, leaving no room for the minor underlings below to interfere.
