Chapter 175: World Destruction [II]

“Mama, look! It’s God!” a young vampire girl shouted excitedly, pointing up at the sky.

The Vampire God floated high above the capital city with his crimson cape billowing dramatically in the wind as his presence radiated divine power that every vampire could feel in their very blood.

The Vampires throughout the capital cheered wildly at the sight of their god.. their protector and their divine ruler.

The Vampire God folded his hands behind his back and looked forth into the distance as his enhanced divine eyes could see across miles… hundreds of miles… thousands of miles, spanning entire continents in his vision.

He could see the Human God clearly.

A tall man with long flowing white hair that reached his waist and a full white beard that spoke of wisdom.

He was floating casually above the complete ruins of what had once been the Elven Continent, holding the dead body of the Elf God in one hand like it was a trophy.

The Vampire God sighed heavily.

‘On a normal occasion like this…’ he thought to himself, ‘I would probably be talking strategy with my Familiar but I placed her on my oldest daughter before she was frozen, so I’m truly alone now.’

The realization was almost poetic.

‘I came into this world alone during the Apocalypse,’ the Vampire God thought. ‘And I will die alone at its end.’

He pushed forward.

BOOM!

The Vampire God shot forward like a bullet, gathering speed with each passing fraction of a second. From the capital city, he reached the Blood Sea… the massive crimson ocean that separated the Vampire Continent from the other landmasses in less than a heartbeat.

He shot across it with such absurd speed that his passage literally split the entire Blood Ocean in half as billions of gallons of water were displaced, thrown up into the air in two massive walls on either side of his trajectory.

He increased his speed even more.

CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!

The Vampire God accelerated until he became nothing but a blur that shattered the sound barrier again and again and again. His passage didn’t just disturb the water… it tore apart the land itself beneath the ocean floor.

Massive earthquakes rippled outward from his flight path, Tsunamis rose hundreds of feet high and continental shelves cracked and shifted.

He was moving so fast that he had effectively become a natural calamity.

The Vampire God reared his fist back, channeling absolutely every ounce of divine power he possessed into his right arm as crimson energy condensed around his fist until it burned like a miniature star.

The Human God turned to look at him with those cold silver eyes and they made eye contact across the distance.

‘It doesn’t matter…’

The Vampire God closed the final gap.

BOOOOM!

His fist collided with the Human God’s face with enough force to obliterate mountains and the shockwave from the impact exploded outward in a perfect sphere, visible from every side of the planet.

The very atmosphere itself was compressed and superheated, creating a flash of light that could be seen from space.

If there were any survivors left from the massacre of the Elven Continent… which the Vampire God genuinely doubted, they would have died instantly from the sheer mana pressure released in that collision.

The concentrated divine energy spreading outward from the impact point completely destroyed what little remained of the Elven Empire.

Nearby island formations were vaporized as the ocean itself boiled away in a radius of hundreds of miles. The Vampire God pulled back his fist while breathing heavily.

However…

The Human God had taken the punch directly to his face… without even a reaction. His expression hadn’t changed at all… He hadn’t moved an inch backward and he hadn’t even blinked.

“If that is the full extent of power that you can muster…” The Human God said calmly with his voice devoid of emotion. “then who gave you the permission to call yourselves gods in the first place?”

Before the Vampire God could respond or defend himself, the Human God placed a single hand on his chest.

It just rested there gently… almost tenderly like how one would caress anything but coming from a genocidal maniac, it was most certainly not good.

“Goodbye.” the Human God said and light erupted.

A star… an actual miniature star materialized inside the Vampire God’s chest cavity. Nuclear fusion began occurring inside his body, releasing energy equivalent to the sun’s core.

The Vampire God couldn’t even let out a scream. His mouth opened, but no sound emerged as his entire body was consumed by stellar fire from the inside out.

BOOOOM!

The Vampire God was sent flying backward along the exact path he’d traveled, moving at speeds that created a continuous explosion in the atmosphere.

Everything in his flight path died instantly… Flying monsters were vaporized… Clouds were annihilated… and even the displaced air itself ignited from friction.

He crashed back across the remains of the destroyed Elven Continent, leaving a trench miles deep and he passed over the ocean except there was no ocean anymore. The Blood Sea that had stood for thousands of years evaporated completely in the wake of his passage, turned to superheated steam that rose into the atmosphere.

The Vampire God slammed into his own capital city… Houses exploded, buildings vaporized and thousands of vampires were killed instantly with their bodies unable to withstand the heat and pressure.

He crashed directly into his castle in the very center of the capital… the castle where his daughters had been born, where his wife had lived and where he’d ruled for centuries and then he exploded.

BOOOOOOM!

The explosion that erupted from the Vampire God’s body was so massive that it killed every single living being on the entire Vampire Continent in one instant.

There were no screams… no suffering… One moment they existed and the next moment they simply didn’t.

The shockwave was so powerful that it destabilized the planet’s rotation itself, causing earthquakes and volcanic eruptions across the entire world.

As the blinding light finally began to fade, the Vampire God was still somehow alive.

His regeneration abilities kicked in desperately, gathering the remaining blood of all the vampires he’d just killed and using it as fuel to heal his catastrophically damaged body.

Flesh knitted back together and bones reformed, even his organs regenerated but before he could fully recover, a shockwave of displaced air made his silver hair swing wildly.

The Human God appeared directly above him while floating serenely.

“Human God…” the Vampire God gasped, staggering to his feet on trembling legs. “Why have you done this? Why kill everyone? Your own people, the other gods, entire civilizations… why?”

His people were dead… Everyone was dead… His entire continent was a smoking crater…

“Do not call me by that disgusting name,” the Human God said with his silver eyes glowing with otherworldly light. “I don’t want to be comparable to pathetic beings like you that are so far beneath me… You may refer to me as the White King.”

“What is a King to a God?” the Vampire God asked, genuinely confused despite his pain.

Why would someone with divine power ask to be called something as mundane as a king? A god was a much higher title with a much greater courtesy.

The White King looked down at him with those cold emotionless silver eyes.

“And what is a God…” the White King asked quietly. “to a Creator?”

The Vampire God blinked in confusion.

“Creat—”

He didn’t get to finish that thought as the White King pointed a single finger at him.

“Die,” the White King said simply.

The instant that word left his lips, the Vampire God exploded into absolute nothingness… He was not just killed neither was he just destroyed.

He was completely and utterly erased from existence on every conceivable level… physical matter… spiritual essence… conceptual identity… temporal presence… It didn’t matter.

He was removed from reality so thoroughly that it was as if he had never existed at all and then the world followed.

The planet Earth… which had been battered and scarred by the Apocalypse for centuries, which had survived countless meteorite impacts and reality-breaking monsters and dimensional tears that would’ve destroyed lesser worlds was erased next.

It was not with fire consuming its surface, not with the explosions tearing it apart piece by piece and not with any violence at all since it had already happened.

It simply… stopped existing.

One moment the blue-green planet hung in space with clouds swirling in its atmosphere and oceans reflecting sunlight and the next moment there was only empty void where it had been.

In complete, perfect, terrible silence.

The destruction spread outward from where Earth had existed, propagating like a wave of non-existence itself through the solar system.

Mars vanished without a sound… Venus disappeared as if it had never formed… Jupiter, with all its swirling storms and dozens of moons, blinked out of reality… Saturn’s magnificent rings scattered into nothingness… Uranus and Neptune, the ice giants at the edge of the solar system, were erased.

Even the Sun itself… the massive star that had burned for billions of years, that had given life and warmth to countless beings simply ceased to be.

The entire Solar System was removed from existence like a mistake being erased from a page but the destruction didn’t stop at that small scale.

It couldn’t stop.

It spread faster than the speed of light itself, consuming star system after star system after star system in an unstoppable cascade throughout the universe.

Nearby star systems with their own planets and potential civilizations vanished… Nebulae that had been birthing new stars for millions of years disappeared mid-formation… Black holes that had devoured entire solar systems found themselves consumed by something far more absolute than their own gravity… Entire galaxies were erased from existence like they’d never ignited their first stars.

The Milky Way Galaxy, with its hundreds of billions of stars and countless civilizations spread across its spiral arms, disappeared in a heartbeat.

The Andromeda Galaxy, the closest major galactic neighbor, followed immediately after.

Triangulum, the third-largest galaxy in the local group, blinked out of existence… Every galaxy cluster within the observable universe and beyond and every supercluster that formed the large-scale structure of cosmic space followed.

Every filament of the cosmic web that connected all matter across the incomprehensibly vast universe… All of it systematically erased.

The Universe itself began to fundamentally unravel at its most basic level… space and time and matter and energy all coming undone simultaneously with the very fabric of reality tearing apart at the seams but the erasure stopped at the boundaries of this single universe.

It didn’t spread to other dimensions or realities. Pocket dimensions carved outside of normal space remained untouched.

The destruction was absolute within this reality, but it was contained to this one cosmos alone. Still, the scale of death was incomprehensible.

Hundreds of thousands of advanced civilizations that had never even heard of Earth died without warning, their technologies and cultures and histories erased in an instant.

Millions of developing species that were just beginning to understand their worlds and reach for the stars ceased to exist before they could take their first steps into space.

Tens of millions of planets that hosted simple bacterial life… the building blocks of future complex organisms were removed from reality before evolution could work its patient magic.

Hundreds of millions of potential cradles for life scattered throughout the universe were destroyed before they could even begin.

And trillions upon trillions upon trillions of individual living beings across this entire universe… each with their own thoughts, their own hopes, their own dreams, their own loves and fears and aspirations… all ceased to exist in the span of a single heartbeat that never actually beat.

Life itself ceased to exist as a concept throughout every corner of the universe. Consciousness disappeared from every planet, every moon, every space station and every dimensional pocket within this reality.

Nothing remained except the suffocating, infinite black void of empty space that stretched in all directions forever… space that had never known the warmth of a star, never felt the presence of life, and never witnessed the birth of thought or love or hope or any of the things that made existence meaningful.

It was just endless, perfect, absolute nothing within the boundaries of what had once been a thriving universe but this wouldn’t be the first time the White King had done this to a universe…

Neither would it be the last.

The White King remained floating completely alone in the vast darkness of the infinite void, surrounded by the absolute nothingness he’d created with a single word.

He was the only thing that existed in all of this reality now… The only consciousness within these cosmic boundaries… The only presence that remained and the only point of light in an ocean of darkness that stretched to the very edges of this universe.

He sighed heavily with the sound echoing across the void even though there was no air to carry it and no medium for the vibrations to travel through. He simply existed like that.

“Yet another cycle down the drain…” The White King said to absolutely no one as his voice was the only sound that existed anywhere in all of this dead universe. “But it doesn’t matter anymore… It never really mattered… None of it ever matters in the end.”

He placed both hands behind his back in a formal, dignified posture and closed his silver eyes. His domain began to spread outward from his body… it was not just a technique or a spell but a fundamental rewriting of reality itself at its most basic level.

It reached every corner of the limitless void of space within this universe, filling every inch of the infinite nothing that stretched in all directions to the very boundaries of this cosmic bubble.

“Domain Manifest…” The White King said clearly with authority as he opened his silver eyes, which now glowed with the brilliant light of creation itself.

“Restart.”

BANG!

A Big Bang occurred immediately… not metaphorically or symbolically, but literally and physically. The entire Universe was recreated in an instant from the absolute nothing that had existed moments before.

Stars ignited across billions upon billions of light-years of space… Planets condensed from cosmic dust and coalesced into worlds… Galaxies spiraled into existence, their arms spreading out across the cosmos… The fundamental forces of physics reasserted themselves.

Time began flowing forward once more… Life would begin again on countless worlds throughout this reborn universe… Simple organisms would emerge from primordial conditions and evolve into complex beings over eons… Civilizations would eventually rise from primitive beginnings on thousands of different worlds… Technology and magic would be discovered and refined by countless species… Gods would emerge from the mortal races, beings of immense power who would shape their worlds… They would grow powerful and accomplish great things.

They would grow proud of their achievements… They would grow arrogant in their strength… and eventually, inevitably, they would disappoint him again with their weakness and their limitations and their pathetically narrow understanding of what true power actually meant.

And when that happened… when they finally crossed whatever invisible line existed in the White King’s mind, he would erase this entire universe once more and start the cycle over again.

Again…

And again…

And again…

Forever and ever, throughout all eternity, in an endless cycle that had been repeated countless times before and would be repeated countless times after, a cycle that had no true beginning and would never have an end.

This was simply what the White King did to universes that disappointed him… This was his purpose, his nature, his eternal routine.

Create, observe, judge, destroy, restart… Over and over and over again, for reasons that perhaps even he no longer fully remembered.

“Haah~ Haah~ Haah~”

Tej let out desperate gasps as reality crashed back into her consciousness.

CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!

With a sound like shattering glass, she was freed from the temporal ice that had held her frozen for who knew how long.

Her memory was extremely hazy, like trying to remember a dream and her eyesight was blurry and unfocused while her body felt strange and disconnected but when she looked forward, she could see a figure bending over her.

A man with blond hair and crimson eyes was looking down at her with a concerned expression on his face.

“Is she okay?” Koya asked, turning to someone else in the room.

“I don’t think so, Master,” Disguise Master’s voice responded as her vision was slowly returning to normal with details becoming clearer.

The blond man was wearing some kind of uniform she didn’t recognize. He was young… probably only eighteen years or nineteen years old in human appearance and then her mana sense returned fully.

The moment her ability to sense magical power came back online, Tej’s eyes went wide with absolute primal terror.

That mana signature… That feeling of infinite power compressed into a mortal form even if it was hidden within… She knew this sensation.

“Hu—” Tej’s voice came out as a strangled cry. “Human God!”

She skidded backward across the floor on pure instinct with her body moving before her mind could fully process, and immediately got into a combat stance.

Her eyes were wide with complete madness.

“Die, Human God!” Tej screamed and her blood responded to her will instantly.

An invisible slash erupted from her position… a technique that cut through the very fabric of space itself, distorting reality as it traveled.

The attack moved faster than thought, aimed to slice the blond man directly in half at his midsection.
