His Beloved Treasure
Chapter 1885 - 542: Two Minutes Is Enough for a Shower (Part 3)
Is he planning to bore her to death?
Or, has he really not had a good night’s sleep for a long time?
Qin Mu couldn’t help but wonder how to cure his problem, so that he wouldn’t be unable to sleep when she wasn’t around. Otherwise, what if one day she left first, what would he do?
Qin Mu couldn’t help but gaze at him tenderly, looking at him with infinite gentleness.
But without any warning, he suddenly opened his eyes, looking at her with a gaze that had a hint of melancholy.
Qin Mu’s heart skipped a beat.
As if the most mysterious part of her was being observed.
Mu Yichen’s eyes gradually focused, noticing her big eyes and the panic of having her privacy seen.
Even though he wanted to say it was unintentional, somehow, he said nothing. He just slowly moved his leg off her.
The sudden silence in the air made Qin Mu hold her breath involuntarily. Mu Yichen didn’t speak anymore, only suddenly bounced up from the bed: "Go wash your face!"
Qin Mu didn’t speak, knowing he wasn’t going to wash his face.
After he left, she lay there with her hands crossed, like a well-behaved exemplary student, quietly waiting.
But, what was she waiting for?
Outside, it began to rain sometime unknown, and when the two finally got up, it was already past ten.
For some reason, downstairs, there was no one left.
The old man liked to watch some late-night news at ten thirty, but tonight he was not there either.
Qin Mu walked beside Mu Yichen, feeling a special atmosphere flowing towards her. She couldn’t help wanting to look at him, but held back, pursing her lips lightly, and followed him downstairs.
Mu Yichen had his hands in his pockets, wearing casual pajamas, making him appear a bit more serene.
There was no food left for them in the kitchen. They stood there for a while, and after Mu Yichen decided he didn’t want the leftovers, he turned to look at the woman standing beside him.
"We can eat bibimbap!"
Actually, he had long accustomed her to dislike leftover food, but in this situation, she couldn’t ask him to cook.
"Okay!"
He agreed with a sound, then covered the pot of rice once more, and opened the cabinet above, where there were still some noodles.
"Plain noodle soup, want some?"
Mu Yichen took out a package of noodles, asking her in passing.
"Yes!"
Qin Mu glanced at him, with her stomach urging her to admit that she was indeed hungry and would eat anything now.
Mu Yichen started boiling noodles, also finding some cucumber and carrot, which Qin Mu guessed were for a cold salad.
Later, she sat in the dining room quietly waiting for him to finish cooking the noodles.
As Mu Yichen waited for the water to boil, he lowered his head to browse his phone, while Qin Mu rested her face on one hand, gently stroking her phone on the table with the other, her eyes occasionally drifting towards the kitchen.
He was so focused on his phone, it’s rare for him to be so engrossed in anything else when with her.
Qin Mu helplessly turned her head elsewhere, some things could only remain unresolved.
Outside, it started raining sometime unknown, did it start when they were eating noodles together?
The dining room was unusually quiet, both of them eating the noodles as if making no sound at all.
After eating the noodles, Mu Yichen served a glass of juice and placed it in front of her. Qin Mu held the room-temperature juice with both hands, unconsciously looking at him with grateful eyes.
"Are you full?"
Mu Yichen asked.
"Yes!"
Qin Mu responded, then glanced outside, got up, holding her cup as she walked out.
Mu Yichen went to the kitchen to pour himself some plain water, drank a couple of sips, then took the pre-aerated red wine and walked out.
In front of the floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room, he quietly stood a little behind her side.
Qin Mu saw his reflection in the glass, he always seemed so leisurely and self-satisfied, yet so domineering and cold.
But this side of him often made her dizzy with fascination.
Yet now, as much as she adored him, her mind was too clear.
Mu Yichen watched her through the glass, noticing the darkness in her eyes. She probably didn’t know how her quietness had nearly driven him crazy lately.
His brow furrowed slightly, unwilling to lose his temper with her.
They were long past the age where they’d react with instant anger towards each other.
But inside, he still harbored many concerns.
Soon, on the coffee table, the glasses of orange juice and wine were left behind, but the living room was empty.
——
In the morning, the family had breakfast together, and afterwards, Mu Yichen said he needed to go to the hotel. Since Qin Mu mentioned last night that she also needed to go to the hotel today, Mu Yichen drove her there together.
