Kaizen clicked on the manga’s info page.

"Blade?"

Nina leaned closer to look.

Kaizen nodded.

"Yeah, this manga mainly focuses on fighting. A lot of the techniques and strategies it shows are actually pretty realistic."

He pulled over another chair and motioned for her to sit.

"You can use it for reference—or even copy some of the moves directly."

Nina sat down, accepting the mouse as Kaizen handed it over.

As a Nen user, Nina read incredibly fast. At this point, Kaizen hadn’t uploaded many Chapters yet, so it didn’t take her long to catch up.

She leaned back, eyes still on the screen.

"Well?" Kaizen asked.

"It’s really good," she replied. "The way the characters fight, their movements, how they think in battle... you could absolutely apply this stuff in Heavens Arena."

She paused, thoughtful.

"I didn’t expect a regular person to depict combat this well in a comic. Is the author a fighter too?"

Kaizen shook his head. "No idea."

Nina’s expression softened a little, her gaze distant.

"Hey... do you remember when we first met in Heavens Arena?"

"I remember. Why?"

"Just feeling nostalgic. Time’s really flown by."

She let out a small sigh.

"We were so young back then. And now... we’ve grown up."

She smiled faintly. "Even Polar Bear’s getting old."

"If we hadn’t unlocked his aura nodes in time," she added, "his body probably wouldn’t have lasted much longer."

Kaizen nodded in agreement. "Yeah. Time doesn’t wait for anyone."

"But we’re both headed somewhere better. That’s what matters."

"Back then, I was just a nobody stuck on the 200th floor... now I’m a Floor Master. And you, Nina—you’ve taken control of your life."

She lowered her gaze.

The matter of Carlisle would always be a scar she carried. If he were anyone else, she might’ve hated him. But Carlisle was her father.

"I’m really lucky I met you," she said quietly. "Otherwise, I might’ve still been like... that. Or I might’ve been dead by now. You changed my fate."

"I don’t even know how to repay you."

Kaizen smiled gently. "Just get stronger."

"You’ve got incredible potential, Nina."

"Your ability might not look flashy, but used at the right moment, it can change the tide—even against someone at my level."

It was true. In a one-on-one, Nina wasn’t a match for an A-rank Nen user.

But if two evenly matched A-rankers were fighting, and one of them fell victim to Nina’s ability—just for a moment—the other would gain a fatal advantage.

A C-rank couldn’t pull off that kind of impact.

"I’ll keep training hard," she said. "I want to reach B-rank as soon as I can."

Shizuku and Tessia had already advanced to B-rank.

Nina had learned to use aura before either of them.

Which made her all the more frustrated.

"You’ve got this," Kaizen said, patting her shoulder.

...

After dinner, night fell.

Kaizen lay in bed, reading for a bit before deciding to lock up and call it a day.

Click.

The doorknob turned softly.

Someone stepped inside.

"Captain... it’s me."

Ponzu’s voice.

Kaizen sat up, a faint frown on his face.

She stepped toward him, her face flushed.

After a short pause and heavy breathing, the tension between them eased.

"Captain... how can I get stronger, faster?" Ponzu asked, curling up beside him.

Back during the Saherta operation, she hadn’t been much help.

To be fair, she had just begun learning Nen at the time.

But ever since coming to Heavens Arena, and after the joint mission through the desert, she’d grown increasingly dissatisfied with her progress.

"Train consistently," Kaizen said. "Getting stronger doesn’t happen overnight."

"Take your time. Don’t rush it."

He gently ruffled her hair.

She leaned into him slightly.

The warmth between them deepened.

Kaizen pulled her close.

Then he rolled over, their bodies meeting.

...

The next morning, Ponzu woke up early.

She slipped back into her pajamas and quietly left Kaizen’s room, returning to her own.

Kaizen watched her go, thoughtful.

He did have a way to boost the team’s power.

Inside the Sumas space, there was a trial ground—something like a realm of challenges.

He’d accumulated enough energy to open the place for others now.

Anyone who passed a trial there could gain new abilities.

But Kaizen wasn’t in a hurry to let the others in.

For Nen users, raw ability was just one part of the equation.

What truly mattered was a solid foundation.

Ideally, they’d master the basics before stepping into that place.

Otherwise, they might end up chasing strength they couldn’t control—abilities that didn’t fit them.

Kaizen didn’t want his team going down that path. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

...

Later that night, Kaizen stepped out of the training room and headed for bed.

But as he opened his door, he paused.

Someone was already lying in his bed.

But it wasn’t Ponzu.

White hair. Curled under the covers. A small head poked out from beneath the blanket.

"Tessia?"

"Kaizen," she said, eyes opening.

"What are you doing here?"

She replied calmly, "I came to fulfill my duties as your wife."

"...Wife?"

"That’s right," Tessia said, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. "Didn’t Kaizen buy me to be your wife?"

"You told me that yourself. Back then, you said I was too young."

"But I’ve grown up now."

She smiled innocently.

"And so have you, Kaizen."

"Last night, I saw Ponzu come into your room with my own eyes."

"So... it was Ponzu last night."

"Tonight, it’s my turn."

"Tomorrow is Nina’s night."

"The night after that will be Shizuku’s."

"And then it’s Sally."

"Then Siper."

Kaizen was completely stunned.

It wasn’t just what Tessia said—it was the serious, matter-of-fact tone in which she said it.

Like she was listing off a schedule.

"Tessia... do you even know what a wife’s duty is?"
