Chapter 84: Raging Inferno’s Wings

[You have reached the 1st Level of the Martial Warrior Realm.]

The moment that notification popped up...

Whoosh!

A powerful wave of energy erupted from Leon’s body. The surrounding flames were blasted away instantly.

Leon’s eyes snapped open. A look of excitement appeared on his face.

"Martial Warrior Realm, huh?" He chuckled. "That sounds cool. Really cool."

He immediately asked the system to show his status bar.

[Host: Leon Bale]

[Status Bar

Damage: 72

Before Leon could celebrate further, more notifications appeared.

[Congratulations, Host.]

[You have reached the 7th Level of Hell’s Pool.]

[You have completed the mission.]

[Reward 1: Blue Flame of Alchemy.]

A blinding blue light shot out from the panel and entered Leon’s body.

[Special Ability Awakened.]

[Special Ability: Blue Flame.]

[Reward 1 Granted.]

Leon blinked.

"That’s it?"

Before he could investigate further, the second reward appeared.

[Reward 2: The Great Scripture of Alchemy.]

A scroll emerged from the panel.

Leon instinctively raised his hand, and the scroll landed smoothly on his palm.

Curious, he immediately opened it. The moment he did, countless white particles surged out of the scroll and rushed into his forehead.

"W-What the..." Leon froze.

An endless stream of information flooded his mind. One recipe after another appeared within his memories. Medicinal pills. Their refining methods. Ingredients required. All the knowledge poured into his mind as if he had spent decades studying alchemy.

The number of recipes seemed endless. One after another, they continued appearing.

Ten minutes later, the final white particle entered his forehead.

The scroll’s glow gradually faded before turning completely ordinary.

A final notification appeared.

[Reward 2 Granted.]

Leon stood there motionless. His eyes were wide with disbelief.

"Alchemy..." Leon could see it now. He now understood what importance alchemy held. Because each pill’s effect was astonishing. Some diseases that even the best medical pills or S-Class healers couldn’t cure seemed nothing special In front of Leon.

"Where is it?" Leon immediately began searching through the countless alchemy recipes stored inside his mind.

"Where... where..." One recipe after another flashed through his memories.

Ten.

Twenty.

Fifty.

A hundred.

Finally, after searching through more than a hundred different pills, his eyes lit up.

"There you are!" His attention focused on a particular recipe.

’Elite Ambient Paradox Pill’

’Description: Capable of awakening any mortal from a coma, provided the coma was not caused by a curse or a special disease.’

’Grade: 4’

Leon’s expression immediately brightened. "This is it. I’m sure of it."

But then the ingredients list flashed in his mind.

’Required Ingredients:

1. One Thousand-Year-Old Ginseng

2. Purified Phoenix Blood

3. Demon Core’

His face darkened. "What’s with these ingredients? Where am I supposed to find a thousand-year-old ginseng? And purified phoenix blood? And what the hell is a demon? Is it some sort of high-class monster? Maybe one of those primals?"

The excitement he had felt after obtaining fire immunity and completing the mission vanished instantly.

At that moment, a notification appeared in the panel.

[If a recipe for a pill exists, its ingredients will also appear in the future.]

[Host may relax and focus on immediate goals.]

Leon stared at the panel. It almost felt as though the system had read his thoughts and was trying to comfort him. A moment later, he let out a long sigh.

"Yeah. Let’s just go with the flow." A trace of determination appeared in his eyes.

"But Mom..." His voice softened. "I hope I can help you recover soon."

Leon fell silent for a while, staring at the sea of flames surrounding him. Then his gaze shifted downward. Toward the two daggers that were still embedded in his chest.

"I didn’t remove them earlier because I wasn’t sure whether Self-Heal was truly my new ability or if these daggers were somehow keeping me alive."

His fingers wrapped around the hilts. "But now that the mission is complete..." A grin appeared on his face. "Let’s find out."

Without hesitation, Leon pulled both daggers out. Blood immediately sprayed from the wounds. Yet before it could even flow for long, the flesh began knitting itself back together at a visible speed. The wounds shrank. Then disappeared completely.

Within moments, there wasn’t even a scar left behind.

"Self-heal." Leon whispered. "What an intriguing ability!" Satisfied, he lowered his gaze toward the weapons in his hands.

For the first time, he examined them properly.

The two daggers looked like twin brothers. Each one was nearly half a meter long, far larger than ordinary daggers. The blades were forged from a deep crimson crystal-like material that seemed to contain flowing lava beneath the surface. Countless glowing crimson markings spread across the blades like veins.

The edges were unbelievably sharp. Even standing still, they gave off a chilling sense of danger, as if they could slice through steel with little resistance.

The blades curved slightly inward like the fangs of a beast. Multiple jagged protrusions resembling phoenix feathers grew along their sides.

The guards were even more magnificent.

They resembled the wings of a phoenix spread wide in flight. Layers of crimson and golden feathers intertwined together, creating a design that was both beautiful and intimidating.

At the center of each guard rested a blood-red gemstone that glowed softly from within, resembling the eye of a phoenix.

The handles were wrapped in dark crimson leather, while the pommels were shaped into miniature phoenix heads with their wings rising toward the sky.

Despite spending months embedded in Leon’s chest and enduring the flames of Hell’s Pool, the daggers showed no signs of damage whatsoever.

Instead, they appeared flawless. Ancient and powerful. As though they had been forged for a king among flames.

The longer Leon looked at them, the deeper a connection he felt as if the pair was calling him, trying to communicate.

Just then, more notifications appeared before Leon.

[Scanning Complete.]
