I Just Wanted to Be a Galactic Hunter—Why Am I on the Wanted List?
Chapter 354: Things You Want To Do!
That small cluster of shadow churned violently, then a little green hand with long fingernails reached out!
After that green hand appeared, the shadowed area on the snow shrank a bit!
The shadow kept changing, it did not stop...
A somewhat flat, green head with a messy tuft of brown hair on top wriggled out from the boiling shadow.
Sharp green ears grew from the sides of that green head.
A fang appeared at each corner of its mouth.
Then a short, somewhat stubby body crawled out of the shadow.
The small green body wore a set of brown leather armor.
Next came two short green legs...
Those two little green legs were clad in an elegant pair of black trousers.
Finally, a pair of bare green feet rose up from the shadow.
Long toenails pressed down onto the pristine snow!
The shadow dispersed!
And the one who crawled out of the shadow was precisely the goblin merchant Cook P. Jones had personally killed!
Now, he had been resurrected by Cook P. Jones!!
This strange sight of death turned back into life also left Seena and the other two who had witnessed the whole thing looking somewhat astonished.
Is this the power from that Divine Inheritance...?
Cook P. Jones ignored the three's surprise and took two steps forward, then squatted down in front of the resurrected goblin merchant.
He smiled at the still bewildered goblin merchant and said:
“Racla, according to our agreement, from today on you are my most loyal subordinate...”
Hearing Cook P. Jones’s words, the confused goblin merchant incredulously raised his little green hand, touched his face and head, and shouted excitedly:
“By the Goblin God above!”
“I really came back to life?!”
“Cook, you bastard!! When did you get abilities at this level?!!”
“You son of a—, you should’ve told me beforehand!!”
“When you killed me! I really thought I was dead!!”
“Bastard! Do you know the despair and unwillingness before death?”
“I still have stacks and stacks of mana crystals to earn?! To just die like that! How heartbreaking!”
Faced with the goblin merchant’s resentful and ecstatic outburst at being brought back to life, Cook P. Jones wore a mysterious smile, said nothing, and patiently waited for the other to finish venting.
He showed extreme indulgent understanding — after all, experiencing death really wasn’t pleasant...
A few minutes passed.
After a burst of emotional venting, the goblin merchant finally regained his composure and accepted the fact that he was now someone else’s subordinate.
“Respected Boss Cook, what does a humble servant like me with such lowly status need to do for you, now that you possess such great power?” the goblin merchant asked tentatively.
Although his tone sounded deferential, the goblin’s little eyes kept darting around, as if rapidly calculating something...
Cook P. Jones’s face twitched.
This guy...
“Behave yourself!”
“All right, Cook. According to the contract, I’m your subordinate. What do you want me to do? Say it, I accept my fate...”
The goblin merchant’s voice was full of distress.
Just yesterday he was a genius merchant who made a huge pile of mana crystals, and overnight he became a subordinate of a former friend...
That tremendous drop left the goblin merchant feeling utterly defeated.
“Stop acting like that, we didn’t sign a master-slave contract!” Cook P. Jones muttered, rubbing his head.
“But I’ve lost my freedom...”
After saying that, the goblin merchant flopped down onto the snow.
However, the cold of the snow immediately sent him springing back up, awkwardly standing in place...
Cook P. Jones’s expression darkened once more, and he chose to state his plan plainly:
“Cut the act!”
“Tell me straight, we form a merchant guild. Revenue split: 28 for me, 2 for you, 8 for me!”
“I’ll provide force protection, you earn mana crystals for me!”
“Any objections?”
Hearing this, the goblin leaped up on the spot with excitement!
“28 for you! You bloodsucking devil! You shouldn’t have saved me! You should’ve let me die at the dwarves’ hands!!”
“No way! It has to be 55! No negotiation!”
“Or else, just kill me!!”
At that, a smile finally appeared on Cook P. Jones’s face; his partner had returned to normal.
“Forty-six for you, but the guild’s name must be decided by me,” Cook P. Jones said calmly.
“Deal!”
At Cook P. Jones’s words, the goblin merchant, who had been furious a moment before, instantly turned obsequious!
“May I ask, dear Cook bastard, what name would you like for the guild we’re founding?”
“Cook United Trading Guild.”
“Perfect! That’s a great name! We’re definitely going to get rich!” the goblin merchant cried excitedly.
Behind a merchant guild stands a Legendary powerhouse; from now on he could scam people at will...
Don’t like it? Just go find my business partner — the Legendary powerhouse, Mr. Cook!
Cook P. Jones could see exactly what his goblin friend was thinking with a casual glance.
So he said slowly:
“If someone blocks you for selling fakes and scamming, I’ll collect your corpse...”
“Also, I’ll gladly take your forty percent cut then...”
At those words, the goblin froze!
He looked up at Cook P. Jones in disbelief and shouted excitedly:
“Not scamming?! Not selling fakes?! Then how much will our profits drop?!”
“Oh my gods! My mana crystals are quietly slipping away!”
Cook P. Jones sighed silently at his goblin partner’s complaint:
“Let me remind you, I’m already Legendary. I can help you set up a proper merchant guild.”
“I remember when I first met you, your dream wasn’t to make mana crystals by selling fakes and scamming people, but to make the Goblin Merchant Guild regret kicking you out...”
At Cook P. Jones’s reminder of his old dream, the goblin merchant’s eyes went momentarily blank...
“You remember that meaningless stuff?”
“I almost forgot...”
Finally, the emotion vanished from the goblin’s voice.
Seeing his partner’s moment of loss, Cook P. Jones shook his head with a smile and spoke calmly:
“Thank you for all your help these past years.”
“Go do what you really want to do. I’m already Legendary.”
“Don’t worry.”
“In the Beastkin Star Domain, I should be able to speak up a bit.”
“A lot of the things you want to do, you’ll be able to do now...”
