Chapter 73: Fly Demon
Standing at the forefront was the fortune-teller woman he had seen earlier in the bar. By now, she had removed the black cloth wrapped around her head, revealing her true appearance.
In the dim streetlight, her face was momentarily difficult to discern.
Smith squinted his eyes, staring straight at the woman, then let out a shriek.
"Ah!"
He saw that on the woman’s forehead, there was a third eye!
Upon closer inspection, this eye was utterly unlike any normal eye. Like the compound eye of a fly, the woman’s third eye contained countless smaller pupils, the entire eye presenting in a dark red color.
Smith had never seen such a monstrosity! He was momentarily so frightened that his legs went weak. Isabella, standing nearby, also noticed this and turned a bit pale, but her courage was far greater than Smith’s, and she did not scream.
"Alexander..." Isabella started to raise her head, wanting to say something.
At that moment, Alexander turned around and said, "She’s here for me; both of you, step back."
Isabella nodded and, holding Smith’s clothing, walked backward. Though the person in front looked very strange, she believed in Alexander’s strength.
"So you’re this ugly, no wonder you’re always hiding your face with that black cloth," Alexander said, smiling at the woman.
Hearing this mocking remark, the woman wasn’t angry. She grinned, showing a chilling smile, and said, "I am a Fly Demon, join us."
"Join you?" Alexander raised an eyebrow.
"Yes, our supreme king believes you have potential and wants you to serve under him. In return, your power will be greatly increased," the Fly Demon said slowly.
"How much can it increase?" Alexander asked.
"To the utmost extent you can imagine. If you have a solid foundation, you can even become invincible in Washington," the Fly Demon slowly stated.
"Invincible in Washington? That’s not enough; I want to be invincible in the world," Alexander said.
"I’ve told you, as long as your foundation is strong enough, anything is possible. But no matter how strong you become, you’ll never surpass our supreme king," the Fly Demon replied.
"What exactly is this ’supreme king’ you speak of?" Alexander asked, slightly frowning.
"As long as you join us... you will know everything," the Fly Demon said, taking a black pill from her storage bag.
"Last time, I gave you a pill, but you seem not to have taken it. I’ll give you another one now. Just swallow it, and your strength will increase. At the same time, you will become one of us." The Fly Demon threw the pill to Alexander.
Alexander caught the pill, staring at it intently, while the Fly Demon silently watched his actions. She didn’t want to resort to force initially, so she chose temptation. If Alexander was greedy and power-hungry like other Psychics, her plan would have a high success rate.
Holding the pill between two fingers, Alexander suddenly applied force. The entire pill was instantly flattened by him, and a poisonous insect hidden inside was crushed to death.
Using the power of fire, the insect’s body immediately turned into a wisp of white vapor, disappearing into the air.
Seeing this, the Fly Demon’s face turned utterly grim. Since Alexander was unwilling to cooperate, she would have to use force.
"I’m not interested in joining any organization or becoming anyone’s subordinate," Alexander said calmly.
"The moment the supreme king took notice of you, you lost your choice," the Fly Demon said coldly, and with a wave of her right hand, four figures that had been lurking in the shadows behind her sprang forward.
Four Psychics, controlled by poisonous insects! They were like the Psychic he had encountered in the bar, their bodies swollen like small giants, eyes blood-red, radiating a ferocious killing intent.
With a gesture from the Fly Demon, they roared like wild beasts and charged at Alexander.
Facing the four ferocious Psychics, Alexander stood his ground, not retreating an inch.
And then, both Smith and Isabella’s faces changed.
Smith was scared, whereas Isabella wanted to step forward to help Alexander.
"Boom!"
But in the next second, a loud explosion erupted in front of them, accompanied by a blinding flash of light. Even the ground trembled.
Smith was so frightened that he trembled and fell to the ground.
Isabella, however, stood staring blankly ahead.
Alexander’s figure was still in her sight, standing in place.
But the four corpulent and murderous psychics were nowhere to be seen.
The concrete road in front of Alexander had been blasted into mud.
Smith and his driver, who had been trailing behind, witnessed this scene.
Smith’s face was one of surprise; he had not expected Alexander, not only to be the richest man but also to possess such tremendous power.
Fly Demon, at this point, was already hiding behind the bushes by the road.
Seeing the four psychics controlled by venomous insects obliterated in an instant, Fly Demon was greatly shaken!
She had thought Alexander was powerful, but never to this extent!
Among these four psychics, two were of B-level strength or above!
B-level psychics, after consuming venomous insects, could gain at least double their power, meaning those two psychics were virtually at A-level!
But the two A-level psychics were gone just like that!
Alexander had simply raised his right palm, and in an instant,The four enhanced psychics were blasted into flesh! This strength was far beyond Fly Demon’s expectations.
What to do?Fly Demon began to ponder.
Just then, Alexander suddenly turned his head, looking towards Fly Demon’s hiding spot. Fly Demon’s body broke out in goosebumps, and she immediately dashed away from her position.
"Whoosh!"
A piercing sound rang through the air. Alexander looked up to see a dark shadow overhead.
A hand covered in dark mist revealed its razor-sharp claws, lunging straight at Alexander’s head.
Alexander caught the hand and flung it forward.
"Roar..."
Fly Demon let out a strange cry and was thrown back.
Alexander’s feet pushed off the ground, and he burst forward! He quickly reached Fly Demon, throwing a punch at her chest.
Fly Demon’s third eye on her forehead seemed to predict Alexander’s attack.
Even before Alexander’s fist struck, Fly Demon had already dodged the blow!
Alexander’s eyes narrowed slightly, and he threw another punch at Fly Demon.
Just like before, Fly Demon predicted Alexander’s direction and avoided the attack a second before it landed.
"Windstorm Technique!"Fly Demon’s face looked grave as she formed hand seals. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
A gust of wind emanated from her body, sweeping her up and flying backward, increasing the distance from Alexander.
Alexander didn’t pursue, instead fixating on the third eye on Fly Demon’s forehead.
At this moment, the eye was spinning wildly.
"Able to predict my movements? Interesting," Alexander’s eyes flickered, and he raised his right palm, experimentally attacking with elemental force.
"Boom!"
A streak of light shot across the sky at an incredible speed.
As expected, Fly Demon moved a second before Alexander’s energy strike, evading the attack.
Confirming this, Alexander grew even more curious.
How did Fly Demon do it?How could an extra eye allow her to predict the future?
While Alexander was focusing on Fly Demon, she was also pondering how to deal with Alexander.
After a brief confrontation, Fly Demon realized that Alexander was strong, far beyond her ability to contend with.
However, after Alexander’s successive attacks, Fly Demon gradually gained confidence.
The Eye of Foresight, bestowed upon her by the King of Lust, enabled her to predict Alexander’s next moves.
No matter how Alexander attacked, she could foresee and evade.
Thus, Fly Demon could remain undefeated.
