In The Apocalypse With My Sacred Dimension System
Chapter 193: How To Deal With Them
Roxanne was hysterical when she realized what she saw in the window. Geoffrey had to put in more effort to calm the shocked Roxanne and he was finally told by Theodore to explain their current situation to Roxanne.
"They don’t look like ordinary zombies. Are they evolved zombies?" Roxanne also asked Theodore about this.
"I don’t know, I don’t know what kind of creatures they are," Theodore said with a tense face. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
The problem was that they were still being chased by the zombies, even though their car was protected by the magic scroll but the fact that the zombies were chasing them now didn’t change.
If this continues they cannot rest and must continue to drive this car without stopping, not only that they also have to continue to renew this magic scroll every 4 hours otherwise they will be attacked by the zombies.
"What should we do now? It looks like they have no intention of letting us go," said Geoffrey, looking very worried about their current situation.
"What is certain is that if we want to escape from these zombies, we need to fight with them. Otherwise they’re likely to keep chasing us," Theodore replied, already convinced that it would be difficult for them to escape the zombies’ pursuit.
"But, how do we fight with them anyway?" Roxanne tilted her head in confusion.
"If you want, you can use my crossbow. I’d like to see if my arrows work against them," Theodore said, suggesting that the two people use their crossbows to deal with the zombies that were chasing them at the moment.
Geoffrey and Roxanne instantly fell silent. Even though this car was protected by a magic scroll, it would still be terrifying to get out and through the roof and shoot at the zombies that were out there.
Theodore chuckled softly when he didn’t hear an answer from Geoffrey or Roxanne. He knew that they had to think about this longer because they had their own fears.
"You think we are you," Roxanne finally said as she sighed softly.
"I honestly want to do it, but once I think back, I’m not as brave as you, brother!" Geoffrey also looked worried in his seat.
"Don’t worry, I’m not telling you to do it now. For now the situation is under control," Theodore said and calmed them both down.
Even though Theodore said that he still took out a bow and arrow from his sacred dimension, along with various arrows, then he told Roxanne to arrange them in the back.
"It turns out you still have a lot of them. I thought when you said that to Maxwell and the others it was just a formality," Geoffrey said while glancing back.
"Why would I lie? I have many such items," Theodore replied with a chuckle.
While talking Theodore slowly lowered the speed of his car, their situation was still stable at the moment so it didn’t matter if he went a little slower.
Not only that Theodore realized that the sun had set entirely by now, so he needed to drive more carefully because the deeper he entered this lane he saw more and more destroyed cars on the side of the road.
"Is it just my feeling that there are more and more of them?" Roxanne, who was busy arranging arrows on the back seat, tilted her head as she looked at the zombies piled up on the side of her window.
"No wonder it’s late," Theodore replied, nodding his head knowing that something like this would happen.
"It looks like we’ll inevitably need to try to attack them," Geoffrey said with a pale face.
"Then you want to try it?" Theodore glanced at Geoffrey who was sitting next to him.
Geoffrey looked hesitant at the moment, but finally, he nodded his head.
"Yes, I want to try it. Are you sure it’s safe, brother?" Before making up his mind, Geoffrey asked Theodore about it.
"I’ve done that stunt many times, so of course, the protection from the magic scroll is very safe." Theodore lightly nodded his head in response to Geoffrey’s question.
Geoffrey, who heard that, sighed and began to move to the passenger seat at the back.
Seeing that Geoffrey was about to move, Roxanne moved aside slightly to make room for Geoffrey to move next to her.
"Calm yourself, Geoff. I’ll stay here to help you," Roxanne said to calm down her younger brother, who looked very tense.
"Alright, I’ll trust you," Geoffrey replied as he swallowed harshly.
After seeing that Geoffrey was ready, Theodore pressed the button to open the roof of their car so that Geoffrey could get out and start the action.
Geoffrey had really mustered up all his courage to do this, so he took out half of his body with a bow and arrow in his hand.
Roxanne deftly gave an arrow to Geoffrey which he immediately accepted. Geoffrey tried to focus himself and began to put the arrow into his bow.
As Geoffrey shot the arrow towards the crowd of zombies on his left side, he could see the arrow spread out and hit several zombies at once.
Theodore, who had been watching Geoffrey’s movements, was secretly surprised because he did not expect that Geoffrey would immediately succeed in hitting the zombie with his arrow.
Because previously Neville and Chelsea who also did the same thing had very poor accuracy, it took a long time for them to get used to their arrows.
"Have you ever done archery before, Geoff?" Theodore finally decided to ask Geoffrey this.
"Ahh, I guess I haven’t told you. My parents, especially our father, are very fond of archery, so he often takes me and Geoffrey to practice archery, it’s just that I don’t really like it. Whereas Geoffrey is quite good at it," Roxanne explained with a smile on her face.
"You should have told me important information like this a long time ago, Roxanne." Theodore smiled mockingly as he looked at Roxanne.
Roxanne just grinned and continued to help Geoffrey by giving him another arrow.
"Oh yeah, I have something to ask you. Is this car okay if it gets hit by your fire or ice arrows?" Roxanne then asked Theodore.
"It seems to be fine since the magic scroll will protect us from anything." Theodore was not too sure, but he thought that it would be fine.
"Are you sure?" Roxanne furrowed her brow when she heard Theodore being unsure like that.
"Not really, because I haven’t tried it yet," Theodore finally chose to answer honestly.
"Then I won’t give Geoffrey the magic arrow," Roxanne replied, finally choosing not to give Geoffrey the magic arrow.
"It’s up to you." Theodore then refocused on the road in front of him and let Roxanne do what she thought was right.
For a while the atmosphere between them was calm and no one spoke because they were focused on their own business.
Until finally Theodore was surprised and hurriedly told Roxanne to pull Geoffrey back into their car.
