In The Apocalypse With My Sacred Dimension System
Chapter 214: Ambushed!
Not knowing what was happening Theodore woke up from his sleep because he felt someone shaking his body so strongly. As Theodore slowly opened his eyes he could feel that he was very sleepy at the moment, even he felt that he could sleep again after this.
"Why did you wake me up?" Theodore, with half-opened eyes, mumbled lazily, clearly not happy about being woken up like that.
"Sis, wake up, it’s not time to sleep, we’re under attack!" Geoffrey, who was tasked with waking Theodore up, immediately said loudly, trying to wake up Theodore who still looked sleepy.
"Huh?!" Theodore, who was still dazed, tried to wake himself up, but for some reason, he felt very sleepy at the moment.
Theodore vaguely heard a noise from the hallway, but after feeling that he had not yet woken up, he slapped his cheek as hard as he could.
Geoffrey, who saw Theodore slap his own cheek like that, was shocked, and he even had to step back a little away from Theodore for fear that he would be slapped next.
"Where are the others? Why are there only you here?" While blinking his eyes several times, Theodore circulated his gaze to look around.
"Roxanne and Celia went to check the door at the end of the hall. Celia felt that the Boss had found this place," Geoffrey replied quickly explaining what had happened to Theodore.
"What? Roxanne went with Celia? And you let her?" Theodore immediately got up from his position and intended to search for the two of them.
"How could I have prevented it? Roxanne told me to wake you up, but you didn’t wake up as if you were dead!" Geoffrey, who was finally annoyed, immediately poured out his frustration on Theodore.
"Stay behind me and watch out." Theodore chose not to prolong the matter and focused on finding Roxanne and Celia.
This time, if Roxanne got hurt or something terrible happened to her, Theodore had reason to question Celia; as he said before, he was still suspicious of her.
The passage they were walking through was not only narrow but also dark, so even though the passage was straight, Theodore couldn’t see if Roxanne and Celia were at the other end of the passage.
Given that someone was coming to attack them, Theodore couldn’t just call out to Roxanne or Celia, so he chose to remain silent and continue down the hallway.
Until finally Theodore heard voices from the other end and he recognized the voices, they were the voices of Roxanne and also Celia. Theodore remained silent, he wanted to listen to what they were talking about.
"How do these people know this place? Didn’t you say that only you know this place?" Roxanne seemed to be questioning Celia about this.
"I don’t know why they’re here either. It looks like Boss has a way of spying on me this time," Celia replied anxiously.
"What do you mean by spying on you? Do you mean you’re being spied on by this person you call Boss?" Roxanne frowned unhappily after hearing Celia’s words.
"Everyone who lives in this D City must have dealt with Boss, and so have I. But, I don’t know how he does it. But, I don’t know how he tracked me down to know this place, even though since the end of the world I’ve only been to this place twice," Celia explained, also not knowing how the Boss knew her whereabouts.
"You’re not lying to me, are you?" Roxanne couldn’t help but suspect Celia at this point.
"Gosh, how could I lie to you, sis! I want to be free from this damn city and you guys are my only hope, there’s no way I’m selling you to the Boss." Celia frantically shook her head.
Roxanne looked at Celia in the darkness. She was still suspicious, but her priority right now was to get out of this place alive; she didn’t want her group to be caught by the people sent by this Boss.
"I’m still suspicious of you. But we have to find a way to get out of this place without being noticed by the people out there, do you have a way out?" Roxanne, who knew nothing about this hiding place, had no choice but to ask Celia.
"The only way out of this place is the door behind this passage," Celia said while shaking her head.
Feeling that he had heard enough of their conversation, Theodore, with Geoffrey behind him, began to speak.
"Then we will go out of that door. Whether we want to or not, we have to deal with them," said Theodore, who appeared from the darkness.
"Since when have you been here?" A surprised Roxanne immediately asked Theodore about this.
"It’s been a while." Theodore did not overthink Roxanne’s question, preferring to take another sword from the sacred dimension and give it to Celia.
"You said you can fight right, use that sword and help us get out of this place. That way I will believe that it was not you who invited this person to surround us," Theodore continued as he held out the sword to Celia.
Celia silently looked at the sword that was pointed at her. She didn’t know what she should do now. It was just that Celia really wanted to leave D-town, but she still doubted whether these people could really take her out of this town and free her from Boss’s snare.
Theodore and the others were waiting to see whether Celia would take the sword or not. Actually Roxanne also knew what Theodore meant by holding out the sword to Celia at this time.
"I will help you guys as much as I can," Celia replied after a while while taking the sword that Theodore gave her.
This time, Celia tried to make a bet that if they couldn’t get her out of D city, she would be ready to die at the hands of Boss.
"As long as you help us, I’m sure we can get out of this city." Roxanne also spoke in a happy mood.
Finally, after making preparations, they decided to leave the hideout with Celia opening the door because only she knew how the secret door worked.
One by one, they came out of the secret door. After everyone was out of the place slowly, they intended to get out of there and return to their cars parked nearby.
However, they all fell silent when they heard a voice telling them to stop moving; not only that but there was also the sound of warning shots after that.
"If you don’t want to die so easily, then listen to me and stay where you are!" There was a hoarse voice of a man not far from Theodore’s current position.
Fortunately, the passage was so narrow that Theodore, who came out first, could see where the person who spoke was. It was just that Theodore also realized that these people had actually surrounded them.
"How is this? We can’t escape at this rate," whispered Roxanne, who was next to Theodore.
"For now, do what they want first," Theodore replied later.
"What do you want from us?" Theodore asked the people who had come to surround them about this.
"You have entered my territory, of course you must follow the rules here. Luckily my pet was able to bring you to me," the man said while laughing like a madman.
