Chapter 227: Waiting For You

Theodore still couldn’t believe what he was seeing right now. He didn’t know how Elizabeth could be at home. Whereas in the past life Theodore could never find Elizabeth’s whereabouts.

"I thought you were dead! Thank goodness you’re back home," Elizabeth said, momentarily releasing her hug on Theodore and looking at him; then, after that, she hugged Theodore tightly again.

"Wait a minute!" Theodore grabbed both of Elizabeth’s shoulders and pulled her to release her hug.

Elizabeth also looked at Theodore with teary eyes in confusion; she did not understand the actions of her older brother, who seemed strange.

"How did you get back home? When I was away, you were out of town," Theodore said, still not understanding why his younger sister could be in their house.

"Aren’t you happy to see me? Instead of asking me how I’m doing, you’re asking me unimportant things like this?!" Elizabeth didn’t become sad; she became annoyed with Theodore, he had been very happy to annoy her for a long time.

"It’s not that; of course, I’m happy to see you safe here. It’s just that I didn’t expect you to be here," Theodore replied quickly.

"Never mind, have it your way." Elizabeth turned to look at the people who came with Theodore, "are you my brother’s friends?" Elizabeth also asked the others.

Seeing that the beautiful, short-haired young woman had finally noticed them, Roxanne and the others walked over to them.

"Yes, we’re Theodore’s friends." Roxanne nodded her head.

"I heard my brother went to City A; if you’re from there, you must be very tired right now. Let’s go inside." Elizabeth invited the others to enter her house.

Theodore also nodded his head and led his other friends to enter his house. He hoped that the people he left at home survived the apocalypse and lived well during this time.

When they entered the house, they were greeted by people Theodore knew; even he could see Martha there welcoming his return after more than a year away from this house.

"You’re finally home, Young Master." Martha looked at Theodore with teary eyes, she didn’t expect to see her young master again after what happened in the world.

"I’m grateful that you and the others were able to survive in this house," Theodore said as he walked up to Martha and hugged her tightly. He already considered Martha as his own mother.

"Thank you for letting me and the others stay here. I’m not sure I could have lived until now if you had decided to sell this house back then," Martha replied, feeling grateful for surviving in this broken world.

Theodore gently rubbed Martha’s back and calmed her down. After that, everyone gathered in the living room of the luxurious house. Actually, Roxanne and the others were surprised when they saw Theodore’s house.

They didn’t expect Theodore to be a rich man’s son. Only after entering the yard did they realize that the house behind the high fence was really luxurious. Roxanne also wondered why Theodore decided to leave this house and move to City A.

"I need to know about the situation in this city. Can you explain it to me?" Theodore then looked at Elizabeth and Martha, who were sitting in front of him.

"The city is in chaos. The city’s military was unprepared from the start, and the situation was taken advantage of by fools who like to cause trouble," Elizabeth explained with a lazy sigh.

"From what I hear, these people call themselves The Enigma. Not only do they loot, but they also kidnap weaklings hiding around the city. The military base in the city has been taken over, so they have access to the weapons there," Martha explained their situation further while adjusting her glasses.

"Actually, their existence isn’t too detrimental because they are also exterminating the zombies that are scattered in this city. It’s just that their behaviour is very, very immoral," Elizabeth replied while shaking her head.

"It seems like they’re not so bad compared to what’s happening in other cities. At least with us here, they won’t be able to bother us." This time Roxanne said her opinion after hearing the explanation from Martha and Elizabeth.

"It was like that at first. But we need food anyway, and most supermarkets or places that have food supplies have been taken over by these people from The Enigma," Elizabeth replied helplessly.

Roxanne patted the shoulder of Theodore, who was sitting on her right, then smiled brightly. "At least for the next little while, you can count on him for food," Roxanne replied while winking at Theodore, who was glaring at her.

Martha and Elizabeth looked at each other, not really understanding what Roxanne was saying about Theodore being able to help them through this crucial issue.

"Although I can help for the next little while, we still need to find food supplies from outside," Theodore retorted, explaining himself while throwing a glare at Roxanne, who was only chuckling at the moment.

Seeing Theodore, who did not mind Roxanne’s words, also made Elizabeth confused; she had to stop the conversation to confirm this with Theodore.

"Wait a minute!" Elizabeth got up from her position and looked at Theodore with her eyebrows raised in confusion.

"Do you mean to fulfil our food needs? I didn’t see you bring any food supplies," Elizabeth said, still not understanding.

Theodore also understood why Elizabeth was so confused because he did not say anything about the existence of the Sacred Dimension to them. Right now, it looks like Theodore will explain this sacred dimension to Elizabeth and Martha.

Not only that, Celia also seems to still not know Theodore’s strength. He doesn’t mind telling them about his strength.

After Theodore explained the power he had, Elizabeth finally understood what Roxanne meant before.

The situation of Elizabeth and the others was really in ruins at the moment, so she was relieved when she heard about Theodore’s power; at least today, they could eat again.

"Thank goodness you can help us. Our food supplies are completely depleted. The plan is for me and the others to ambush one of The Enigma’s food warehouses." Elizabeth sat back on the sofa with a sigh of relief.

"We can do it another time; for now, I won’t let you starve." With a serious face, Theodore shook his head when he heard that Elizabeth intended to ambush The Enigma’s warehouse.

After that, Elizabeth took Roxanne and the others upstairs and showed them the rooms they could use from today. Meanwhile, Theodore and Martha went to the kitchen to prepare food for the others.

Although Theodore had confirmed that his family was safe and his house was secure, he still needed to find out about the whereabouts of his other friends. Theodore still had to find out where they were.
