A volley of attacks came from Xuan. They were deadly, and each one sent gusts of wind and Qi everywhere. Gabriel, however, didn’t struggle in the slightest.

Instead, he continued prying the gates open, and only when they were far enough apart did Xuan start feeling some pressure.

But that was why Yuelan was there. With every movement he made, she copied. Her graceful maneuvers were a sight to behold, and even as the power difference between Gabriel and them existed, Yuelan’s raw swordsmanship and Xuan’s stamina and persistence were enough to slowly overwhelm him.

As if that wasn’t enough, Sierra had also chimed in with her fair share. She had arrived before the gate, and with the use of some skill, she managed to actually start closing the Heavenly Gate.

Victory was in sight, and Xuan knew that he was soon about to defeat the literal final boss of this dungeon and finally get out of here. Yuelan felt the same, and her blood boiled with even more excitement than his.

Once the door was shut completely and Gabriel appeared powerless, Xuan and Yuelan went in for the final strike.

But just then, a fierce amount of Qi descended from beyond the Heavenly Gate, causing the gate itself to open abruptly and push Xuan and Yuelan away. Even Sierra wasn’t spared, as she flew straight into Xuan.

The moment she hit him, Xuan felt an immense pain shoot throughout his entire body, and by default, his Dantian wasn’t spared. The connection to his Domain was immediately severed, and Gabriel had regained full control of his Domain, expelling all of Xuan’s influence.

And just like that, through the Heavenly Gate, a human-sized figure that resembled a full-on angel walked through. His appearance was very similar to Gabriel, rather. It was just that he radiated a certain holiness that made him that much more fearsome.

With six wings, a halo, and even that holy, yet mysterious radiance, Xuan had a feeling he knew who this person might be.

If this is actually the Three Eyed Angel, then he doesn’t look really strong, Xuan thought.

As if reading his thoughts, that being suddenly turned toward Xuan and smiled.

"I can assure you, I’m not as weak as I look."

His voice was very feminine for some reason, and the way he carried himself was strangely human.

Yuelan nodded, then added, "If that’s fine with you, then shower us with gifts. We’re open to any and all gifts, so long as you don’t make us eat spiders or caterpillars, or..."
