Tenmaru regained his motor function. The young man got up and looked to the direction of Kyoma.

"Master!" Tenmaru clenched his fists. "I will always remember you."

"What are you talking about, kid?" A voice echoed behind him.

"Master?!" Tenmaru turned around.

Carter landed gently on the ground. He had the characteristics of a vulture.

"You’re okay!"

"Of course I am okay." Carter shook gently. His animal characteristics disappeared. White smokes flooded out from him.

Adrenaline and Evaporative Decompression were extremely useful. They were also a core ingredient for many mutations. But when they mutated, their best abilities got removed. Luckily, Carter still had them as the Host Abilities so he would never need to worry about that.

[Lost x1 Purifying Elixir]

Carter chugged down another Purifying Elixir. He had many poison immunity abilities. Apothecary Stomach and Evaporative Decompression both had poison resistance to it. But Ryuja was a Champion after all, so he must make sure he didn’t have any hidden poison inside him.

"What happened to Ryuja, Master?" Tenmaru said.

"Oh. Not much. I cut off two of his fingers." Carter said.

"Holy! You can hurt Ryuja? That man is basically invincible. Some even said he was the most powerful among all the Kings." Tenmaru widened his eyes.

"I wouldn’t say that. Ryuja is only cunning. I would expect Oda Yushin to be the most powerful."

"Then why..."

"From our short encounter, Ryuja is an extremely insecure man. He might be the one that spread the rumor himself."

Carter snapped his finger and made the Bear Guardian disappeared.

"Come on. Let get out of here before they come after us."

Carter and Tenmaru disappeared into the woods. The rumors quickly spread. An assassination attempt on the Poison King Ryuja at the Chuuchi Tournament. The attempt failed, obviously, and the assassins were injured heavily by the King and they were on the run.

Carter and Tenmaru quickly became the most wanted people in the Jado Kingdom.

When they returned to Giyaku, even Chiaki had heard about the rumor.

"What did you do?" Chiaki said.

"Not much. Just chopped off two of his fingers... And this." Carter took out the Dragon Gem.

Seija was lying in the Shrine when suddenly, she felt the familiar power. The Green Snake dashed out side as quickly as she could.

"That is my gem!" Seija gasped.

Carter threw it toward the Green Serpent.

"Mikoto told me about you. I got this back from Ryuja."

Seija swallowed the Green Gem immediately. She felt the power returning to her immediately. But the Gem wasn’t pure. There were imperfections within it that caused Seija to be unable to advance her rank.

"The Gem is tainted..." Seija said in sorrowful tone.

"Don’t worry now." Carter squatted down and put a hand on Seija’s head. "Mikoto can take care of it when she returns."

"Where is she now?" Seija asked.

"She went back to our Sect. She needs to ask for an approval."

"Approval of what?" Chiaki frowned.

"Approval of asking the help of a god." Carter smirked.

"In the meantime, I will stay here as the head of the Shrine."

Chiaki shrugged, "You are Mikoto’s Sect Brother so I don’t have any opinion about it."

Carter turned toward Minato, "Murasaki Minato."

Minato knelt, "The Second Guardian will follow your commands."

"Stand up, please. You are a rank higher than me." The silver-haired man said. "I will teach you about the art of Primal Instincts. It should help you control the power of the beasts inside you."

"I am forever grateful, Master Ginro!" Minato said.

"We need to go on a trip to do this. Tenmaru needs to come too."

"Thank you, Master!" Tenmaru bowed. The young man had been waiting for this moment from a long time. He could finally learn Musashi’s techniques.

"We do have a few things to do before we go, though."

With the help of Chiaki and the Land Spirit Kazou, they located a silver mine in Giyaku area. They mined a lot of silver and transferred it back to the Shrine.

This work cost them quite 2 weeks to finish.

In the meantime, Carter kept farming Synchronization from both Mirror Art and Primal Art for the Spiritual Invoker and Shrine Maiden.

The first week was focused on Shrine Maiden.

[Total Synchronization Gains]: 5,745,6%

[Shrine Maiden’s Synchroniozation]: 6,380.4%

[Acquired x51 Shrine Maiden Token]

[Acquired x6 Shrine Maiden Champion Seed]

Mirror Art allowed oneself to rest even when practicing it. So for the entire seven days, Carter only stopped to eat and drink, the rest of the time he was burying himself in the Mirror World.

Primal Art was different, however. Because Primal Art raised the fighting experience of the user and also required the user actively battling in their mind, Carter couldn’t use this Mental Art for non-stop and had to stop to rest his mind.

[Total Synchronization Gains]: 3830.4%

[Spiritual Invoker’s Synchronization]: 4,141.5%

[Acquired x34 Twin Invoker Token]

[Acquired x4 Invoker Champion Seed]

Carter didn’t just do nothing in his rest. He switched back to Shrine Maiden to farm even more Synchronization.

[Total Synchronization Gains]: 2,217.6%

[Shrine Maiden’s Synchroniozation]: 8,598.0%

[Acquired x20 Shrine Maiden Token]

[Acquired x2 Shrine Maiden Champion Seed]

"Master Musashi! I think we have enough silver!" Kazou came inside in courtyard and saw the silver-haired man was still sitting on his butt.

"I’m coming." Carter nodded.

Two weeks of non-stop meditating. Carter thought he would get sick from it. But instead of getting sick, he was getting addicted. The Mental Art was just too much of a reliable way to gain Synchronization.

’Unfortunately these Mental Arts can’t give me Skin Shards thought. If it does, I would be invincible.’

The silver ores were stacked within the shrine. They were placed at either side of the hallway entering the Shrine.

"What are you trying to do, Master Musashi?" Seija was also there.

"Mikoto can make Divine Statues. I am not as good as her in that aspect. But I can make Zodiac Statues. These things are very good as protectors."

The power of the Invoker flooded out of him. He started performing martial moves at the hallway. With each of his movements, the silver was controlled and modified.

The twelve piles of silver ores melted together and slowly changed.
