Dusli soon came back with a large glass full of colored liquid.

“Mixed fruit juice. It’s 50 coppers.”

I was ready to pay for it when I noticed she hadn’t gotten anything for herself. Customers were obliged to get a drink in this room, but that didn’t extend to paying for the employees, even though doing so wasn’t well-received.

“Oh, that was insensitive of me. Please get something for yourself, too.”

I gave her a silver coin, and she smiled gratefully before returning to get another drink. She chose the same thing as I did, and we drank together, starting a conversation while watching the dancers.

“No alcohol for you either?”

“I’m always drinking strong stuff. It’s a good change of pace for once. So, tell me about yourself, Tila.”

“There’s not much to say. I’m a trader, handling a variety of goods like food, raw materials, and enchanted items. I’m still relatively new to the business. My goal is to grow from now on.”

“A trader, nice. A lot of our customers are traders. There are even people from the three great merchant companies who are regulars here.”

On the stage, one of the dancers attracted the eye more than the others. She was a giraffe, a large four-legged species. Due to dancing on four legs, her moves were very exotic. Her large size also implied corresponding mass and volume, as she generated a lot of noise in tempo with the music while taking up plenty of the dancing space. She was also scanning the audience, giving me a large grin when our eyes met.

“That’s amazing. They must have lots of funds.”

“Yeah, they’re spending like crazy. It’s like they have an infinite budget.”

These people would no doubt end up becoming my rivals sooner or later. It wasn’t such good news to hear they were doing so well.

“What about you, Dusli? How’s life going for you?”

“Me? Haha, not many people ask about us. I’m doing well. It’s more relaxing now than right after Geola reopened. So many people wanted to relieve their stress that we had almost no time to rest.”

And of course, she didn’t mention that many workers didn’t make it until the vaccine was ready, increasing the share of work for the remaining employees.

As we continued to chat, she seemed like a nice enough person, and I could have gone with her in different circumstances. However, today, I wanted a slightly more exotic experience, something I didn’t get to try before. A monkey was a medium-sized species walking on two legs, and wasn’t that different from me overall.

On the other hand, every time I looked at the dancers, the giraffe on the stage seemed to be looking at me. Plus, she would do some sexy moves whenever it happened, sometimes even jumping loudly, creating a large boom when she landed back on her hooves on the wooden floor. The floor must have been reinforced to withstand such a large force because it held back splendidly, no matter what she did.

At one point, I couldn’t help questioning the woman next to me.

“Is it me, or is that giraffe staring at me a lot?”

The monkey gave me a wry smile.

“Ah, Briwelen. She must be very interested in you.”

“In me? Why?”

“I’ve never seen you in the spectacle room. Is it your first time here?”

“That’s right.”

“That must be one of the reasons. Briwelen likes, well, cute and small things, if I had to say.”

“Cute and small? Me?”

“Yeah. She’s a large species, right? Medium species like us feel small and lovely to her.”

“Ah… I see.”

That was a difference of perspective I hadn’t thought much about. It made sense, though. If I found the bunnies small and cute, there was no reason people larger than me couldn’t have similar feelings towards me. It felt a bit weird, but it wasn’t completely unreasonable.

“And she’s particularly interested in people she’s never played with before. Did you ever have sex with a larger species?”

“Never.”

“Why don’t you try it with her, then? She’d be delighted.”

“What about you?”

She waved her hand dismissively.

“I’m fine. I can see you’re not very interested in me. Briwelen might be a bit intimidating when you don’t know her, but she’s a nice woman. I can do that much for her.”

It was true that employees in this store had close ties. I checked the giraffe again, who had her eyes glued on me. She was indeed large, about four meters tall, and probably many times my weight. Most of her body had thin, patterned fur, brown and white, which looked quite nice. Her lower body was similar to that of the animal horses I owned, with four hooved legs, a long tail, and a relatively large barrel. Her torso began at the front of her lower body and looked like that of a bipedal species, though much larger, with two arms, breasts, and a very extended neck. Her face had two small horns on the forehead, side ears, and brown eyes, giving a profound feeling. She was wearing light clothing that only covered part of her lower body, especially over her privates, torso, and around her chest, leaving most of everything else free for anyone to look at.

I wasn’t too certain how the act would happen with such a woman, but that was precisely the sort of novelty I was looking for.

“That sounds interesting. I’ll take the chance, especially since she seems curious about me too.”

“Good.”

Dusli waved at Briwelen to come, and she giraffe immediately exited the stage, galloping toward us at high speed, shocking the other people in the room. When she was in front of us, she briefly gave Dusli a grateful smile before turning my way, looking very enthusiastic.

“I’m Briwelen! Nice to meet you, cutie!”

I had to look up a lot to respond to her.

“Ah, yes, nice to meet you too. I’m Tila.”

“Tila! What a good name!”

She was so excited that Dusli stood up to tap her on the belly.

“Calm down, Briwelen. He agreed to buy you tonight already.”

“Really? That’s superb! Let’s go!”

The monkey shook her head, half amused, half resigned.

“I said, calm down. He doesn’t know anything about you yet. You need to tell him your grade and what you’re okay with.”
