"Why are you here? And what’s with that baby turtle in your hands?" Lin Zhentian grinned, his voice rattled with slight irritation across the courtyard.

"Sorry for the trouble, father. I am here to show my beast." Lin Yuan apologised, but his expression was devoid of fear and worry.

"This is my beast. I awakened my cultivation pathway. It is the Turtle pathway, father. I am at Baby Beast Realm - Lower Stage now..." Lin Yuan explained to his father in excitement. "I can start cultivate on my own from now–"

"Pathetic..." Lin Zhentian interrupted. "You are excited by attaining a cultivation on your own. And it’s the turtle... it was just an uncommon beast. How can one’s core essence be an uncommon beast? Self cultivation is already weak and you are saying your cultivation beast is a miserable uncommon beast. You are failure and you are a black mark for the Qing Clan"

According to the percentage of beast essence one can ascend to higher stages in a realm or to higher realms." Lin Zhentian continued explaining, seeing their both sons yawning due to the boring lecture.

"Shut up and listen," Lin Zhentian shouted, his eyes narrowing. "Uncommon beasts are also ranked from one to six. The improvement will be best for higher rank uncommon beasts’ cores."

"Mostly the food required for your core beasts is dependent upon its nature," Lin Zhentian continued. "I will explain about that when you get a core beast."

As Lin Yuan darted his eyes to the left, under the trunk of a large oak tree, Lin Yuan found a pair of Small Mushrooms — which is the Low-Tier food helpful for his turtle.

"Found it!" Lin Yuan yelled in excitement. "I found a pair of Small Mushrooms. I think they might be helpful food for my turtle beast."

Lin Yuan held his turtle carefully, and sprinted towards the trunk of the tree. He bent down and meticulously plucked the two mushrooms from the ground. He rose steadily, his eyes skimming through all the sides finding a place to sit. And ten paces away, a flat stone surface was visible to Lin Yuan.

Lin Yuan slowly walked towards the stone surface, holding the turtle gently in one hand and feeding the turtle with mushrooms in another hand. The turtle ate mushrooms happily, even though it’s a beast, Lin Yuan felt the happiness of the beast eating mushrooms. And sat on that stone, after the turtle ate mushrooms, he slowly held the turtle in his hands, closing his eyes to concentrate on his cultivation.

’Beast cultivation is also like mana flow,’ Lin Yuan thought, his past life memories(Noir’s memories) surged into his brain. ’First one should create a bond with the beast... rather than just treating it as a normal pawn for the cultivation.
