Bang—the strike arrived almost before it left the blade. The flood-dragon dodged its head but its neck was split open, flesh gaping, bone visible. It howled and staggered back.

The metal puppet charged another early Unity Nine beast. Its single slash, backed by a higher cultivation, took the creature’s head clean off.

The space puppet killed with one sword per target, locking each flood-dragon in place with spatial force before cleaving it apart.

The Nine-Headed Devil Dragon and the Demonic Lion each picked a Unity Seven opponent. The dragon used sonic attacks and soul-shock waves; one roar left its foe dizzy, then a head clamped on the flood-dragon’s neck while the others tore, ripping the skull free in moments.

The Demonic Lion used spatial compression. Though its foe struggled, it was slowly crushed until it could barely move—soon it would burst.

The Nine-Headed Devil Dragon followed with a soul attack, helping the lion by swallowing half the flood-dragon’s soul and tossing the rest into the lion’s sea of consciousness. Quick and clean.

Lei Ming sparred with the mid Unity Nine flood-dragon, thunderclaps booming nonstop. She even brought out her true-yuan clone—two against one, a dead-even fight.

The flood-dragon facing First Clone tried to flee. He chased it with spatial steps, driving Buddhist radiance into its wounded neck until the beast collapsed from blood loss and lost its head.

Seeing their doom, the last mid Unity Nine beast roared for the survivors to flee and warn the clan.

First Clone sheathed Heaven Devourer, drew the Demon-Hunter Bow, and loosed two arrows that blew the heads off the escaping pair.

The puppets, Nine-Headed Devil Dragon, and Demonic Lion finished the rest and began cleaning up, leaving only Lei Ming still locked in her furious duel.

To save her true yuan, First Clone aimed the bow; the flood-dragon froze for an instant, and Lei Ming blasted its skull with Demonic Thunderblast, then crushed it with a claw.

“Roar!” Lei Ming snarled at the interference.

“Get back and recover—bigger fights are coming,” the clone reminded her. She finally stored the corpse and returned with the others to restore their strength.

Back inside, First Clone told Ye Liuyun, “The flood-dragon clan will send more.”

Ye Liuyun had no intention of taking unnecessary risks. “Yeah, the beasts here are endless. We’ll fight what we can; if it gets too heavy, we’ll use the black teleportation tower and come back later.”
