Lord of All Gods
Chapter 3146
The two guards rushed over, and the moment they reached the guild’s entrance they asked for Qingyu. Qingyu immediately led them to Ye Liuyun’s quarters.
“Young Master!”
After greeting Ye Liuyun, the two guards handed him a Interspatial Ring without another word.
Ye Liuyun swept it with his divine sense and saw both devil flood-dragons safe inside; only then did he relax.
The guards glanced at the four old men beside Ye Liuyun but asked nothing aloud.
“You’ve worked hard. Go rest in my spatial world.” Ye Liuyun spoke, then promptly tucked them into that space to keep them from giving anything away.
“Miss Qingyu, my devil flood-dragons have arrived. How do we verify them?”
He wanted the deal done quickly so he could leave at once, so he asked her directly.
Qingyu replied, “The steward has gone to prepare. Please come to the guild, Young Master Li, and let the steward arrange the inspection so we can complete the transaction there.”
“Very well.” Ye Liuyun agreed and followed Qingyu back to the guild, leaving the four elders behind without any sign he intended to flee.
Qingyu brought him to a private reception room and asked him to wait while she fetched the steward. A maidservant promptly served tea and pastries.
I wonder how they’ll verify them... Will I see that violet-eyed boy? he mused, sipping his tea slowly.
Before long, the steward and Qingyu returned. They told him everything was ready and the inspector would arrive shortly, then stayed to chat.
They had barely exchanged pleasantries when a woman in white entered with a violet-eyed youth.
A beast? Ye Liuyun’s golden pupils instantly revealed the youth’s soul: a black mastiff with violet eyes, staring straight at him.
The youth frowned—he hadn’t seen Ye Liuyun’s soul—and secretly sent a message to the woman.
The woman carried herself with pride; her soul force was strong, cultivation at the eighth level of Return-to-One.
The steward rose at once to introduce them. “Young Master Li, this is our guildmaster, Yun Mo.”
Jiang Yun Mo? The eldest princess? Ye Liuyun recognized her at once—he’d learned royal names while soul-searching Jiang Yunhan.
Feigning ignorance, he stood and bowed. “Guildmaster Yun Mo, my respects. I never expected the guildmaster herself to conduct the inspection.”
Meanwhile, the violet-eyed youth intensified his gaze. The Myriad-God Seal in Ye Liuyun’s sea of consciousness flared with golden light, blocking the probe. Ye Liuyun countered with his own crimson soul gaze aimed at the violet mastiff.
The mastiff’s violet eyes flashed once, dispelling the illusion, yet probed no further.
He eyed Ye Liuyun warily, but Ye Liuyun’s attention had already shifted to Yun Mo and the steward.
“Forgive the inconvenience, Young Master Li. The dynasty’s scrutiny has been severe lately; we have no choice. This is our appraiser, Zi Ao.”
Yun Mo greeted him and introduced the beast.
“Then I thank Appraiser Zi Ao for the trouble.” Ye Liuyun turned to the youth and cupped his fists.
Zi Ao merely sent a silent message to the woman in white, then returned the gesture. “It’s my duty,” he said, nothing more.
Ye Liuyun produced the Interspatial Ring at once. “Shall we begin the inspection now?” 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
The steward looked to Yun Mo.
“Yes. Once verified, we’ll all feel easier.” Yun Mo nodded.
The steward took the Interspatial Ring and handed it to Zi Ao. Zi Ao merely stared at the ring for a moment, pretended to sweep it with his divine sense, then nodded in confirmation. “Two late-stage Ninth Heaven devil flood dragons—exactly right.”
He returned the ring to the steward, who immediately passed it back to Ye Liuyun.
“That’s all?” Ye Liuyun double-checked.
“That’s all,” the steward replied with a smile.
Ye Liuyun nodded, stowed the ring inside his spatial world, and released the two devil flood dragons.
While Zi Ao had been staring at them, the dragons had already warned Ye Liuyun that someone was peering into their souls.
“I can do the same trick, but probably not as effortlessly as that mastiff,” Ye Liuyun judged inwardly.
In these few breaths, the mastiff had shattered his Soul-Red Pupil technique; its penetrative sight was clearly stronger. He no longer dared probe the beast’s violet eyes.
The steward then began producing the trade goods one by one for Ye Liuyun to inspect.
The demonic beasts were caged and packed together in one Interspatial Ring. Essence sources, vicious-beast corpses, and cultivator corpses each occupied separate rings.
Ye Liuyun swept them with a glance: the beasts and corpses were split evenly between Unity and Sovereign realms. He was already making a killing, so without hesitation he handed over all the essence sources to the steward and sealed the deal.
He tucked the rings into his spatial world. His second avatar immediately released the beasts and began playing the Netherworld Prelude with his soul force, subjugating them so they wouldn’t rebel if a fight broke out—and might even prove useful.
“Never expected Young Master Li to keep two late-stage Ninth Heaven devil flood dragons! They must cost a fortune to feed,” Jiang Yunmo remarked casually, probing for information.
Ye Liuyun laughed. “I didn’t raise them to this level; I only captured them recently. The upkeep is steep, but I can’t bear to sell them. If your prices weren’t so good, I couldn’t afford all these resources for them.”
Jiang Yunmo smiled knowingly. “True—two late-Ninth Heaven giants eat mountains of supplies. We’ll have more stock later. Interested, Young Master Li? Prices can be negotiated.”
Ye Liuyun waved both hands in quick refusal. “I’m done buying. If these two can break through to the Taixu realm with what I’ve got, they can fend for themselves. If not, I’ll sell them. I simply can’t afford their appetites.”
