After lunch, Shi Keke received a call from Shen Cheng. She must have seen the news, as she started by asking, "Parking your car at the intersection without moving, Shi Keke, are you trying to sabotage yourself?"

"Sister-in-law, this has nothing to do with me. I’m a lawyer. I absolutely wouldn’t do anything illegal," Shi Keke explained.

"Are you sure?"

"Well, there was once."

What Shi Keke said was indeed true. Over the years working as a lawyer, she encountered quite a few troubles: some wanted to kill her, some wanted to harm her, and some wanted to bring her down. But in handling them, she always used legal methods and never overstepped.

The one time was when she was helping Shen Cheng investigate Gu Liancheng and had her hacker friend break into Gu Liancheng’s computer.

However, when the police uncovered the truth about Qin Ni’s murder, Shi Keke confessed to them about her overstepping to find the truth and requested punishment.

Fortunately, considering her contributions, the police decided to offset the merits against the demerits and did not pursue legal responsibility against her.

Shi Keke immediately declined the case, not because she was afraid of losing, but because she guessed that the injury involved Shi Mei. This was due to the previous dispute the car owner had with him, which ended on a sour note.

The men of the Shi Family were not to be trifled with. Being overbearing and authoritative was one thing, but they were ruthless and could ruin someone’s life with just a word.

"Haha!" Shen Cheng couldn’t help but laugh after hearing her words, "I always thought he was quite mature. Who knew he could be so childish? Shi Keke, you’ve found a treasure."

"Enough, sister-in-law." Shi Keke raised an eyebrow, "I like him, no doubt, and I love him too, but there seems to be an insurmountable chasm between us. Although Shen Cheng never discussed this topic with Shi Mei, she could capture certain things from his behavior and actions, like him taking Shi Keke’s car to get painted. To most, it seemed normal, but for her, it was an expression of love.

Because only when you love someone do you do things for her that you would never normally do.
