Chapter 1048

Hollow blue ripped through the earth walls like they were nothing but simple parchment and even afterwards, it didn’t stop and still continued on towards Lucien who stared at this with a frown on his face.

"Breakthrough."

A massive burst of energy roared out from him and almost immediately, it felt like the very earth itself shifted as a massively sturdy wall rose up just in time as the attack was just a few inches away from the man.

The wall shifted in place as the attack from Kael landed into the wall causing a loud boom to be heard.

The wall shook for a second with debris falling down but it held.

Kael’s frown deepened almost immediately.

’This is bad... why the hell did he have to breakthrough? I guess he deems me more of a threat hence he was forced to do this. But damn, how do we handle this now?!’

The same wall suddenly twisted and formed a shape within a second.

It was a... a... an earth drill?

It was huge. The size of two tree trunks combined together and it was twisting with lethal intensity and speed while pointed at the group.

"Scatter... again!"

KA-BANG!

The drill was fired forth with devastatingly lightning speed just as the group dashed away.

BOOOM!

It turned the earth into a fifty metres deep hollow almost immediately with chunks of earth and dust billowing into the air.

Kael landed with a sharp roll and quickly jumped onto his feet only to see Lucien had appeared before him with a massive earth spiked club swinging his way with full force.

Shadows immediately burst upward in time, consuming the mage and allowing him sink into their depths in time as the club smashed into the empty space the mage had just occupied a moment ago causing the air to shudder immediately.

Spears of water burst from Jay, rocketing towards the Zodiac with speeding force.

Without as much as a twitch, earth rose in place absorbing the impact from the spears without as much as a crack on its surface.

Flames burst from all around the man, spreading all around like wind causing Alba and Mada to leap away in time as the flames almost singed them.

They had tried attacking Lucien from his flanks but it was like he sensed them hence he decided to do the flame burst.

Lightning crackled from above with furious force and then screamed downward at Lucien who swiftly kicked backward with fluid agility.

The attack was about to smash into the ground when bursting from their depths was Kael and in his hand, a long spear made from lightning which he immediately hurled at the man with all his might.

Bang!

The spear launched forward with break neck speed but with a wave of his hand, a massive mound of earth rose from behind him colliding with the lightning spear and burying it in the ground.

Slamming his foot on the ground, earth spikes began bursting out chasing after Kael and Jay who immediately jumped on their feet, dashing away with all the speed they had in them while the earth spikes gave chase.

Ditching her swords, Alba ran forward with fluid agility as she leaped from earth spike to earth spike.

She avoided each and every one of them with feline grace. None of the projectiles were able to reach nor touch her as she weaved and ducked while ki flared around her legs allowing her move faster.

Kicking forward with explosive force, ki wrapped around her hands and she thumped it forward with all her might causing a loud bang to resonate in the air.

Roaring from her fist was a huge ki fist that darted towards the man with blazing speed.

However, he remained unfazed as he was shielded by an earth wall that shuddered with intensity the moment the fist struck.

Alba smiled as the man’s view was shielded by the wall.

Mada swooped in immediately with a slash of his swords allowing for his visual ki to burst forward crashing into the wall after a firm thrust from him.

The wall jittered incredibly as cracks began appearing around the surface.

Angrily, Lucien detonated the wall outwardly, sending massive slabs of earth hurling in Mada’s direction.

The descendant was quick on his feet as he jumped backward dodging the earth by the skin of his teeth.

At that exact moment, Kael made an appearance directly in front of the man. Lightning wrapped around his fists with crackling vengeance as he thrust it forward with all his might.

BANG!

Lucien wasn’t fast enough as Kael’s fist blurred forward and then crashed into his face with the force of a siege ram.

Lucien’s face was thrown off to the side as a deafening boom echoed out followed by the uprooting of the earth as chunks flew into the air.

Specks of blood burst from the man’s face as a delayed shockwave burst out followed by his body ricocheting away like a bouncy ball.

"Ugh... that hurt..." Raze groaned as he staggered backward while clutching his bleeding side that had been punctured by Vince.

Immediately, a shimmering glowing crown rested on his head allowing for their light to spread around his body while the punctured side was beginning to heal at an impressive rate.

The flesh knitting back together as if it was being sewn but it was not.

Whatever internal injuries he suffered, he was immediately healed for it as he smiled while the glow of the crown dimmed down until it turned pale before bursting into sparks.

Looking in the direction of a certain pink haired girl, he beamed at her.

"Thank you, Vanica."

"Ugh..."

A groan could be heard as Vince was seen twitching in the crater trying to rise up after being slammed by Raze’s lightning club.

But due to their electrifyingly paralysing effects, he only managed a twitch before Greg burst forward with swift agility.

A lightning sword appeared in his grasp which he hauled forward towards the Zodiac and only stopping shy of his neck.

"Don’t even think about moving a muscle."
