Master of Nine Stars
Chapter 254 - 180: Let’s Have the Next Group of Victims...
In a skirmish near the boundary, the Qi Brothers, Qi Dao and Qi Tian, a seeded team, had transformed their entire skeletons into frost snow.
While it wasn’t apparent on the surface, the bone exposed beneath their torn skin was indeed the color of frost snow.
"Holy shit! A fucking bonus!?" The younger brother, Qi Tian, wore a look of pleasant surprise as he disarmed an opponent with his bare hands. Blood pooled in his palm, where a Snow Saber had sliced a deep gash.
But the sound of the blade sinking into flesh immediately changed to the shriek of a blade grinding against steel.
Qi Tian couldn’t care less about his mangled hand. In fact, the pain only served to excite him further as he stared in pleasant surprise at the skirmish in the far corner.
His hand, its bones layered and condensed into frost snow as hard as steel, brutally crushed the blade he held. A Snow Burst Ball gathered at his feet, and he sent the student before him flying with a single kick.
Throughout the entire sequence—disarming his opponent and kicking out a Snow Burst—Qi Tian didn’t even glance at his own enemy. His eyes remained fixed on the skirmish in the far corner.
As expected of a top-tier seed player, he was handling it all with effortless ease.
The younger brother, Qi Tian, asked in surprise, "Where did those two pop up from? How come I’ve never heard of them?"
The older brother, Qi Dao, stood back-to-back with him, taking a fighting stance and lashing out with kicks. "What’s going on?" he asked in a low voice. "Let me see."
"Southeast corner," the younger brother, Qi Tian, said. The two of them, still back-to-back, immediately spun around.
This leisurely display, treating the surrounding students as if they were nothing, made the second-tier fighters absolutely lose it. Their attacks grew even more ferocious.
"I recognize that girl. She’s the Level 10 freshman representative, the high school champion from the Outer Region!" Qi Dao said, then let out a laugh. "They’ve cleared out half the boundary line?"
"Yeah, I was wondering about that, too. I thought the guys on the boundary line would come for us, but they all went after them instead?" The younger brother, Qi Tian, looked utterly baffled. "Is that team really strong enough to be targeted like that?"
"Hey." The older brother, Qi Dao, tilted his head slightly. While fending off a flurry of attacks, he gestured to Zonglu, who was attacking him. "Pal, how strong can those two possibly be? Do you all really need to gang up on them?"
Zonglu was practically seething with rage. "Shut up!" he roared. "And die!"
’Dammit, don’t you know we’re in a fight?’
’I’m your enemy! And you’re asking me about another enemy’s situation? Show some damn respect!’
"Haha, he’s getting pissed! He’s getting pissed!" The younger brother, Qi Tian, wore a gloating smile as Snow Burst Balls detonated from his hands one after another.
Qi Dao chuckled. "Not only did they fail to swarm the underclassmen, but they got two of their own teams taken out. Oh? Wait, it’s not just two teams. Why are those three teams that surrounded them also getting pushed back?"
Zonglu’s face turned livid, so furious he could have spit blood. He instinctively turned his head toward the corner to see what was happening.
But who were Qi Dao and Qi Tian?
They were the cream of the crop among the seeded players. ’How dare you get distracted while facing me?’
The older brother, Qi Dao, grabbed his brother’s arm and swung him around violently. The two were perfectly in sync and even shared a field of vision. As Qi Dao swung him, the younger brother lashed out with a flurry of kicks, clearing out half a circle of their attackers.
The younger brother’s final kick slammed viciously into Zonglu’s body, delivering the gathered Snow Burst Ball along with it. "Don’t just watch! I’ll send you over there myself!"
With a loud BOOM, the Snow Burst sent Zonglu flying.
"Zonglu!" a clear female voice cried out. She hurried after him. Judging by their faces, they bore no resemblance to each other and were likely not related by blood. It seemed she was his girlfriend.
At the same time, on the far opposite boundary, Bai Xiweng and Bai Xiwu wielded dual blades. The brothers fought with pure offense, forgoing all defense. They carved a path straight through the teams that had swarmed them, breaking out of the encirclement...
This was no longer just a difference in Soul Slots or Soul Skills; it was a blatant, undeniable gap in pure Talent.
The Martial Arts of these two were astonishingly strong.
If the most dazzling person on the field right now was Rong Taotao, who was taking on multiple opponents and effortlessly handling them, then the second most dazzling had to be the Bai Brothers.
Their movements were as fluid as flowing water, their momentum as unstoppable as a hot knife through butter.
Time and again they broke through the encirclement, yet they showed no intention of escaping. Instead, they would turn right around and charge back into the fray.
In two words: total slaughter.
And they did it repeatedly!
Holy hell... This wasn’t just about injuring their opponents; it was about crushing their will to fight! Slaughtering them until they broke down completely!
Such a dominant stance, such an overwhelmingly powerful fighting style, had the audience completely mesmerized and roaring with excitement, especially the young sisters, Stone Tower and Shi Lan.
Because these two young men, in both style and skill, were a perfect match for the sisters. They were the very model of what the two aspired to become.
Their Sword Technique was sharp and ruthless. They dismantled limbs and showed absolutely no mercy.
"Bro, besides the few teams just watching, there are two main skirmishes left on the field now," Bai Xiwu said.
’Hm? Two skirmishes?’ Bai Xiweng thought, surprised. He sent the question to his brother’s mind. ’Besides the Qi Brothers, who else is being ganged up on?’
"I’ve been watching for a bit. Looks like it’s the first-year, Gao Lingwei. The one they call the King of Guanwai," Bai Xiwu replied mentally, adding a request. "Give me back control. I’ll fight for a while; you can watch for yourself."
"Alright, you’ve got it." Bai Xiweng relinquished control of his brother’s body, instantly feeling a sense of relief. He observed the distant battlefield, a slight smile touching his lips. "This is indeed a bit interesting."
