Mated To My Best Friend's Lycan Alpha Brothers
Chapter 518: These Everests Brothers Will Be The Death Of Me
(Myra’s POV)
"I will go and check," saying this, I scurried away, not wanting to listen to their talk any longer.
’Ohh gosh~ ... that was damn suffocating. But who could be this girl that Dion likes so devotedly? And why did that make me uncomfortable ~ .... WAIT~ ... MYRA~ ... just wait. Stop it. Stop right there. Hold down your horses, NOW. What the heck is even going on in that head of yours? What does it matter to you who the girl is? Why are you getting curious? It should not affect you in any way. No~ ... it does not affect you. Keep that in mind. Whosoever he likes, whatever he does in his life, it doesn’t affect you.’ With my thoughts being a chaotic mess, absentmindedly, I unlocked the door to check who it was. And lo and behold, it was none other than Brave.
My breath hitched when I saw him. He, as always, looked his sophisticated self, but today there was something more to it. He looked sublime, stunning in those clothes. And those deep, sharp brown eyes of his, they were talking to me, hypnotising me, and I couldn’t help but stare at them like an utter fool. They were calling my name, I could hear it. And that sweet, intoxicating scent, the cardamom and musk fragrance coming from him, was making my mind foggy as he transfixed me in a spot.
"Myra~ .... Myra~ .... " Then I heard Brave’s voice, loud and clear.
I quickly pulled myself and shoved all those thoughts away and called his name, "Brave, you are here." Unknowingly, my voice came out a bit strained.
He leaned forward, his face was in close proximity, as he murmured, "I am. But~ ... what were you looking at so intently, hmm?"
"Nothing~ .... nothing~ .... come inside. Everyone has been waiting for your presence," saying this, I hurriedly turned around, pacing inside. ’Arghhh~ .... These Everests brothers. They will be the death of me.’

"Rave~ ... you are finally here," Sara, when seeing him, stood up. She then noticed that Brave was holding something and directly asked, "What’s that in your hands?"
"Umm~ ... Mother, these are~ ..." he glanced at the paper bag and completed, "I just got a little something." He walked towards the Miracle couple and took out two boxes. "Mr. Miracle, Mrs. Miracle, I got this for you."
"Brave~ .... you don’t have to~ ..." Sandra was hesitant to accept it, and so was William, but Brave gave them no chance to refuse, "Please, sir, ma’am. These are some tokens of appreciation for you two." He then quickly added, "You don’t have to feel burdened at all. They aren’t expensive. Sir, you have got a new car. So, I got a talisman for it. You can hang it on the rearview mirror. It will bring good fortune and protect against any accidents. And ma’am~ .... I heard you get frequent headaches and have had trouble sleeping because of that. I got you some lavender-scented candles. It will help you with your migraine." He explained with an innocent face.
"You should take it," Sara insisted, and the couple couldn’t say no to her. "How thoughtful of you," William remarked. His earnestness had touched even a careful person like him.
"Dad, this talisman, it looks so pretty and seems genuine, too. Weren’t you looking for something like this?" Wendy commented as the others approached.
Brave only smiled, feeling proud of himself. He made the right choice of listening to Raw and not picking something flashy. "I got something for you, too," he turned to Wendy and handed her a big packet.
"For me~ ..." Wendy’s eyes twinkled as she, without hesitation, accepted it. "What is it? What is it?"
"See for yourself," Brave replied, smiling at her warmly. Wendy, not standing on ceremony, unwrapped the package then and there. Her eyes widened when she saw what was in it, "WOW~ .... THIS IS SO COOL." Inside the package was a set of premium sketchbooks, high-quality paint brushes and artist-grade oil colours. It was a dream for any art student to have that. Wendy hugged the package excitedly, "Thank you, thank you so much, Brother Brave," she said, beaming like a kid who had gotten their favourite candy. Brave found her too adorable, like his little sister.
"Good for you, kiddo," Yelena said, patting her back.
"And this is for you, Yelena," Brave, in a gentlemanly tone, said.
"Me? Why?" Yelena’s eyebrows wrinkled, then arched puzzlingly. She wasn’t expecting to get one, and that too from Brave? Their first encounter, near the beach, wasn’t particularly on a good note. She had even slapped him. Plus, she had everything. What could he even possibly give her?
"And~ .... why not?" Brave gave her the paper bag. "You deserve it. For being such a good friend and a kind person."
Yelena was flustered to hear his words, her ears turning cherry red. Her heart started palpitating abnormally as she felt her throat getting parched. Her eyes trembled tentatively, almost wavering as she took the paper bag. With a small voice, nearly inaudible, she said, "Thank you."
"Aren’t you going to open it now?" Wendy asked. Scratching her neck awkwardly, Yelena replied, "I will do it afterwards." She couldn’t look in Brave’s direction, who had already turned his attention towards Myra.
Now standing right in front of her, he was nervous. Honestly, he took the most time to figure out what to give Myra. She was very independent in nature. And if he bought something even relatively costly, she wouldn’t accept it, no matter what. Even Raw had a hard time. Plus, he can’t gift anything too obvious. Otherwise, his mother and siblings would doubt him.
"Nora once told me that you are an avid reader." While saying this, he gave her the present. This one was neatly wrapped. So, no one could tell what book was in it.
Myra graciously accepted it, bringing a smile to Brave’s face, "Thank you."
"My pleasure," he replied.
’Why does it feel like we had just lost, Eli? Dio brought flowers for Myra’s mother, and Brother Rave did one up and bought a present for everyone. Why the heck didn’t you listen to me?’ Leo was irritated. Actually, his wolf had suggested getting something for Myra and her family as a way to show how much he cares, but Elio had turned down the idea, thinking that it would look out of character for him. Plus, it would make the Miracle feel burdened. Damn, he was so wrong.
Sara, observing the change in Brave’s behaviour and seeing how thoughtful he was being, pursed her lips. Ever since Hannah, his previous mate, disappeared, he hadn’t shown this much interest in anyone. Though he followed his routine life, it felt like he was just going through the motions.
But now, seeing the change with her own eyes, she couldn’t comprehend how to take it.
