Chapter 1176: Joys And Chants
As everyone returned to their respective home Planets and various locations after Anthony had kidnapped them by forcefully teleporting everyone away, various roars and joyous chants immediately erupted. They couldn’t exactly celebrate within the Rogue Planet, as Anthony hadn’t given them the chance. The next moment, joy, jokes, and laughter spread throughout various Planets and Realms.
How could they not be happy? The Divinora Galaxy and the Demons as a whole had been dealt with.
But it wasn’t all happiness and laughter. Some people experienced immense relief, especially those who hadn’t been on the battlefield. Why? Because they had been with various people; husbands, sons, daughters, wives, disciples, and friends, before they vanished right before their eyes for two whole days.
So when they returned, everyone felt relieved. After all, there was nothing like filing a missing person’s report here, and one could only find someone if they possessed the right connections and abilities.
News immediately began to spread that the Demon Race had been dealt with permanently. Some said that Anthony had destroyed wherever they came from directly. Whether it was another plane, planet, or even a different Galaxy, they didn’t care. All they heard was that the Demon Race had gone extinct.
But of course, they couldn’t have been more wrong, as Anthony hadn’t destroyed the Abyssal Realm. The Abyssal Realm still housed many Demons, billions of them even, many of whom weren’t fighters and were only confined to the Abyssal Realm itself, unable to leave. Even the Second Supreme Monarch was still alive at this moment, still trapped within the Mortal Ranks and was still inside the Abyssal Realm.
So, if these people knew how wrong they were, they would probably focus on other matters and stop exaggerating everything. But alas, one couldn’t exactly blame their misunderstanding.
Of course, Anthony had thought about destroying the Abyssal Realm once and for all, purging the Demon Race in its entirety. The existence of a few child Demons or female Demons within the Abyssal Realm who weren’t fighters and simply wanted a peaceful life couldn’t stop him. Such things had never affected or influenced Anthony’s decisions in any way, shape, or form.
But Anthony had thought about what destroying the Abyssal Realm and wiping out the Demon Race would actually lead to.
One had to remember that the foundation of cultivation was resources. Without them, everyone would eventually become stuck one way or another. Even Kingsley, who didn’t need mana to cultivate and ascend, would find himself halted.
And to obtain those resources and secure more of them, people had to fight for them, which inevitably led to various wars, especially racial wars. Top races waged wars against one another while simultaneously dragging Middle-Tier and Low-Tier races into their conflicts.
One had to remember that even during the Starboard Tournament, various fights had nearly broken out among the Old Generation. And even after the event ended, a few races still fought one another on their journey home.
Meaning, among these races, the grudges ran so deep that there was virtually no hope of reconciliation. The only way such a thing could happen was if one side completely submitted to the other and became its vassal, something no one would ever willingly accept.
Although Anthony didn’t particularly care if these races killed themselves because of their greed and hatred, he still decided to leave the Abyssal Realm and the Demons alone.
Yes, the Demon Race and the Abyssal Realm had suffered immense damage and had lost one hundred percent of their true attacking force, but that was nothing to the Demons. The Abyssal Realm would simply produce more Demons. Demons who were originally supposed to be only mildly talented or considered trash would suddenly possess immense talent and rapidly rise to the Demon Monarch Realm.
This was one of the methods through which the Abyssal Realm protected itself against destruction. It had granted the Demon King enough talent to stand above everyone within the Acarnis Galaxy, but it hadn’t granted him enough talent to ascend and abandon it.
So, while these races might begin probing attacks against one another very soon, within that same timeframe they would also discover a Demon, a Demon who had left the Abyssal Realm. And upon making that discovery, everyone would have no choice but to retreat back to their own territories.
So, with the presence of the Demon Race and the Abyssal Realm, there would be "peace." Or rather, people wouldn’t have the time to fight one another because they would all be too busy focusing their energy on the rising Demons.
But people didn’t only spread rumours or go out to drink and celebrate. No, after a battle of such galactic proportions, it was only natural that people broke through their Mana Ranks. Those who had been stuck at a particular level or Rank stepped into the next. Some gained insights into their own abilities, skills, and techniques. Others simply created entirely new skills and techniques.
But of course, not everyone made some form of progress, as that was statistically and realistically impossible. Examples of such people were Anthony, Aura Nova, Lucian, Aaaninja, Irene, Michael, and the rest.
These were people who had just received ridiculous boosts after emerging from seclusion. It was simply impossible for them to make meaningful progress after such a battle because it hadn’t exactly been life-threatening to them the way it had been for others.
But not that they cared. After all, whatever boosts and gains everyone else received paled in comparison to what they themselves had obtained.
As for the Divinora Galaxy, it still had people. It still possessed its own races. Obviously, Angels who were still little children existed there and all that. But Anthony wasn’t about to go there and destroy it, so he abandoned it just like the Abyssal Realm. And the reason for that was simple: only their foolish dead God had been capable of opening a Tear in reality to another Galaxy, something that carried an immense cost even for someone at the level of a God.
And for the Divinora Galaxy to create another God, assuming it could even do so again considering that the previous God had been an individual who usurped the Galaxy for himself...
But that was beside the point.
The point was that it would take billions of years for the Divinora Galaxy to create anyone remotely close to the former God’s level.
But of course, Anthony could simply grow bored tomorrow and decide to destroy both the Abyssal Realm and the Divinora Galaxy just to cure his own boredom. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
After all, everyone knew just how unpredictable Anthony could become whenever he was bored.
