Mr. Tycoon's Beloved Wife: The Madam No One Dares to Offend
Chapter 429: As Qualified Men
Being slapped by Orlenna, Margaret was startled.
She raised her head frowned, "Mom, what are you doing?"
She didn’t think she had gone too far.
Margaret quickly retracted her leg and glanced at Orlenna carefully.
"I’m your daughter. Hilla is your daughter-in-law. How can you be so partial?" Margaret thought.
"What am I doing? You are just pregnant. How dare you ask Hilla to serve you? If you feel sick, call Horton and let him give you a shot."
Orlenna pulled Hilla to sit down and snarled, "Don’t worry about her. Let her bother her husband."
Hilla sat on the sofa in embarrassment.
She just wanted to give Margaret a favor. She didn’t feel like it was a big deal.
However, she knew that if she explained, Orlenna would think she was speaking up for Margaret. And Margaret would receive more reproach.
Seeing Orlenna leave, Margaret couldn’t help but whisper, "Senile."
Hilla was stunned and couldn’t help but ask, "What do you mean?"
Hilla wondered, <Were Margaret cursing?
But Orlenna is her mother.>
Margaret rolled her eyes and growled, "She’s partial."
Hilla was stunned for a moment and laughed. "Even she is partial, it is towards you. You are her daughter."
Margaret snorted and said unhappily, "I must be an adopted one."
Hilla thought, "If Orlenna hears this, I’m afraid you will have to suffer again."
The Andersons became even happier because of Margaret’s good news.
Margaret was pregnant at the advent of Christmas. That was a double blessing.
Orlenna was so happy that she asked the servants to set up more fireworks.
Margaret said unhappily, "Mom, set more fireworks. My pregnancy is an important thing. Isn’t it worth a few more sticks of firecrackers?"
They lived in the outskirt, and it was Christmas. So it should be okay.
Orlenna glared at Margaret and said, "It’ll pollute the air."
Margaret thought, "You are exaggerating again."
"Do you think you are a queen? " Orlenna shouted.
Margaret curled her lips and muttered, "I don’t mind if you treat me like one." Orlenna was speechless.
Margaret didn’t feel she was asking too much.
Orlenna glanced at her. "Dream on."
Margaret put on an innocent smile and held Orlenna, trying to tame her.
Anyway, as long as she could be lazy at home.
Orlenna urged, "Stay in the room. Why are you running around on such a cold day? Didn’t the doctor tell you to rest well?"
Orlenna urged Margaret to go inside. Margaret waved her hand and said.
"There’s no need. I’ve taken some medicine. I’m not that fragile. I’ll play card games with people today."
Orlenna was kind of stunned, <What?
Card game?>
Orlenna immediately snapped, "How can you play card games? You are pregnant!"
"So what? Halle is about to give birth and still wants play."
Hearing that Halle was also there, Orlenna’s face eased a bit.
A pregnant woman’s card game was generally not very intense, and it was just for fun.
She only said, "Come back early. Hey, Halle is about to give birth. I have some gifts, bring them to her."
Margaret reminded, "Hilla has prepared a lot of children’s things. Don’t bring too much."
Orlenna agreed, but she still prepared a lot of things.
Knowing that the things Hilla brought were mainly for the babies, Orlenna’s gifts were most prepared for Halle.
"Horton understands all of this. Just leave it to him."
Orlenna filled the car instantly, and even one bag in Margaret’s arms.
Margaret was a little dissatisfied. "Mom, can’t we afford one more car? Why don’t you just rent a trunk?"
The car was stuffed with gifts. Margaret felt uncomfortable because she had little room to sit.
She believed that as a pregnant woman, she should be cautious.
They should all love her and take good care of her.
Orlenna glared at her. "You want to rent a truck? Do you want people to laugh at us? Don’t talk so much."
"I can’t hold it in anymore."
Margaret snorted and felt wronged.
Hilla saw this and said, "Mom, aren’t there too many things?"
She thought that she had brought enough gifts. But she didn’t expect that Orlenna had prepared more than her.
The two cars were full. They would have chosen an RV if they had known it earlier. "Put it on me."
Julian took over the things from Margaret’s arms.
Margaret snorted in satisfaction. "It should have been your responsibility." Orlenna sighed. She should not have looked at it.
When their car reached Halle’s place, Riya’s car arrived too. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
Seeing Riya, Margaret rolled her eyes and stuck out her belly.
Riya stepped forward and glanced at Margaret, smiling. "Margaret, not bad! You are pregnant so soon. You didn’t blow your belly up like this, right?"
Hearing this, Margaret was immediately unhappy. "Your belly is the only one that is blown up."
Seeing that the two of them were about to fight again, Hilla quickly stood in the middle and smiled. "There are too many things. Everyone, help me get them."
Looking at the cold snorts of the two women, Hilla could only sigh silently. What had she done to make these two people torment her?
Halle still had a month to produce and had been preparing things.
Her stomach was so big that it was difficult to walk. Seeing them coming over, she couldn’t help smiling.
"Why do you have to bring so many things? Horton has prepared everything. The kitchen is almost full."
The smile on Halle’s face was filled with happiness unique to women.
Although it wasn’t easy to have a big belly, she never felt that it was hard.
She was very content with her family, her two children and her husband.
Margaret said, "Many of these things can’t go bad. You can take your time to try them."
Looking at Halle’s belly, Margaret was full of envy.
She had to wait for several months before she could turn like this.
She couldn’t help but reach out to touch it. Riya, who was beside her, sneered, "Be careful. It might break."
Margaret was so scared that she quickly retracted her hand. She looked nervously at Halle and said, "Can it really be broken?"
"Wasn’t that too bloody?" she thought.
Everybody laughed.
Halle took Margaret’s hand and placed it on her belly.
Margaret subconsciously twitched but did not use any force.
Seeing that Halle was okay, she felt at ease.
The next second, Margaret revealed a strange smile on her face and shouted excitedly, "He moved. He moved. He kicked my hand."
"Wow, so cute, so interesting. Fortunately, I also have one. Soon, I wouldn’t have to touch others." she thought.
...
Margaret’s excited look made Riya curious.
Although she had been pregnant twice, she never felt anything.
Her first child was lost early, and the second was still in the early stage.
Looking at Margaret’s excited face, she was a little expectant.
"Did he really move? How did he move?"
Margaret described with gestures, "Like this, he hit me like this."
Riya had a look of doubt on her face when hearing that babies could hit people in the belly.
She couldn’t help but look at Halle.
Riya puffed her cheeks and looked at Halle with bright eyes.
Halle was a little embarrassed as if she was an animal in the zoo.
However, both Riya’s and Margaret’s faces were filled with anticipation. She could only hold Riya’s hand and place it on her belly.
Soon, Riya widened her eyes in surprise.
She quickly pulled her hand out and quietly retreated to the side.
She did not shout excitedly like Margaret. She just looked at her hand that was kicked by the little fellow incredulously.
She realized it was really different from what she thought.
It was so strange to her recognition.
As the only woman who wasn’t pregnant here, Hilla sneaked into the kitchen with Bruce.
She didn’t know what to do. She felt kind of isolated.
She felt like the one being abandoned.
Looking at Bruce, who was washing vegetables, Hilla leaned forward and asked, "Shouldn’t we be having a second child?"
If this continued, she would be isolated.
Bruce paused and turned to look at her.
His eyes were deep and burning with light.
Hilla felt a little uncomfortable, and she hurriedly said, "I’m just saying. We should wait for three years after performing a C-section."
After she finished, Bruce stopped staring at her.
However, before she could heave a sigh of relief, Bruce suddenly leaned over and whispered into her ear, "Actually, we don’t have to wait for three years."
Hilla quickly covered his mouth and said sternly, "No."
Bruce couldn’t help but laugh. He obediently ate the carrot in her hand.
He was just joking. The two kids had already taken up most of Hilla’s energy. If another one came, he wouldn’t even have a place to stand.
Anyway, he already had children. He didn’t mind if he would have more in the future.
With a red face, Hilla quickly lowered her head and continue to make the dishes.
The living room was noisy. In comparison, the kitchen was quiet.
The atmosphere in the kitchen rose with the temperature.
Hilla was cutting vegetables. Bruce was leaning on her.
Hilla couldn’t help but frown and remind him in a low voice, "People could come in anytime. They’ll see us."
Bruce did not mind. He tightened his arms around Hilla’s waist and whispered in her ear, "As they like."
Hilla couldn’t help but laugh. His way of acting shameless was really unique.
"Who would like to watch us? They all get their own sweetheart." Hilla thought.
Outside the kitchen, two men stood straight and frowned.
The women in the living room were urging them.
Julian held a bag of fruits and looked at Stefan. "It’s not convenient for me. Please take it and wash it."
Stefan coughed lightly and said awkwardly, "It’s not convenient for me either."
He didn’t want to interrupt the couples in the kitchen. Even if he had to, he shouldn’t do it alone.
Julian frowned and looked at Bruce and Hilla, who were still hugging.
Bruce was his brother-in-law. He didn’t want to interrupt him. Otherwise, he’d have trouble in the future.
Stefan calmly knocked on the kitchen door.
Julian held a bag of fruits in his hand and said expressionlessly, "Margaret is hungry."
When Hilla saw them at the door, she quickly pushed Bruce away.
With a red face, she turned around and sighed helplessly.
<What should I do? This is the most embarrassing thing in life.
Those two guys saw it. Would they feel wrong about me?>
Although Hilla felt that there was no need for her to care too much, she knew them.
She just felt embarrassed.
In comparison, Bruce was very calm. He took the fruit from Julian. He looked at the two people at the door and said, "I’ll wash them!"
The spacious kitchen door became narrow because of the two men standing there.
It was even a little crowded.
Hilla didn’t dare to look at the expressions of the three men behind her, so she could only bite her lips secretly.
She would just pretend that nothing had happened.
The two men looked at each other silently. Stefan said in a deep voice, "Thank you."
Then he turned around and left.
Julian nodded.
He turned around and left too.
Margaret turned to the two men who had returned. She frowned and said, "Where are my fruits?"
Why didn’t they bring any strawberry, watermelon or cherries?
Julian walked up to her and tore off the note on her face. He frowned and threw it into the trash can.
"Bruce is washing them. He’ll take them out soon."
Julian’s answer was very calm. Margaret was stunned. She subconsciously looked in the direction of the kitchen and said to Julian silently, "Bruce?"
Julian nodded.
Margaret thought she’d have to eat more fruit today.
After all, she had never been served by Mr. Anderson.
Seeing that Margaret was absent-minded, Riya knocked on the table. She pinched the card in her hand and said, "It’s your turn."
Margaret recovered and asked, "What?"
Riya raised her eyebrows and glanced at Halle, who was sitting opposite her. She curled her lips and said, "Two."
Margaret frowned. "I skip!"
Riya immediately smiled and beckoned to Halle. Halle quickly put down all the cards in her hand and whispered, "Ace!"
Margaret realized there was no chance to win.
She was stunned. Looking at Halle’s empty hand, she raised her head and asked, "Whose landlord?"
Riya smiled and looked at Margaret silently.
Margaret frowned. She pointed at herself and said uncertainly, "Me?" "Damn, I’m the landlord!" she told herself in disbelief.
Hearing Riya’s laughter, Margaret pouted and threw away the cards in her hand.
Riya took a note, dipped it in saliva, and put it on Margaret’s face.
Margaret frowned in disgust and muttered in a low voice, "So disgusting, not civilized at all."
Riya rolled her eyes and snarled, "You didn’t say that when you put it on me."
Margaret was unconvinced. "I didn’t treat you as an outsider."
Riya laughed coldly in disdain. "I didn’t treat you as an insider."
Margaret thought, "I don’t think we can be friends anymore."
Stefan and Julian were sitting silently in front of the TV, playing tank games.
At this time, as qualified men, they had to pretend to be blind and deaf.
