Mr. Tycoon's Beloved Wife: The Madam No One Dares to Offend
Chapter 443: It Was Good to Have a Daughter
When Margaret heard Julian’s words, she immediately curled her lips unhappily.
Raising her head, she stared at him with her eyes narrowed slightly, "Why do you say that I am obedient? Am I your cat?"
Shouldn’t he reply with more affection, ’I love you as well and you are my dearest!’?
This way, this moment would be so beautiful and affectionate. Julian’s method was not right at all. He should start over again.
Julian smiled and did not speak.
Margaret got unhappy immediately, "Riya was right."
She was sure that this man had ulterior intentions for her.
The resentment in Margaret’s heart slowly grew. She just didn’t like to hear what Julian said.
Julian seemed to have noticed something and smiled, "Did I marry you or Riya? We are now a couple, and why should we listen to her?"
"She said that you don’t like me. You married me because of the interests of our two families. You did it all for yourself."
Margaret snorted and lowered her head unhappily. She gripped the corner of her clothes tightly with both hands. The more she thought about it, the worse she felt.
She was not such an unreasonable woman. Moreover, when they got married, she already knew his purpose.
Hadn’t she already accepted it? Why was she still so uncomfortable?
It should be because she did not like Riya, so what this woman said was not that good to her.
Thinking of this, Margaret seemed to understand that she did not care whether it was a business marriage or not. She just simply did not want Riya to make fun of her.
She just disliked this woman.
Julian looked at Margaret. She sometimes pouted, sometimes laughed, sometimes nodded, and sometimes frowned.
Julian didn’t expect that her emotions would change so fast.
"I married you for myself, of course."
Julian said lightly, and he also seemed to understand the crux of her problem.
The smile on his face got even more obvious.
Margaret immediately frowned. As she had expected, Julian really married her for his
own purposes.
She was in a worse mood now.
"You got married only for yourself, and have you ever thought about the happiness of the woman you married? Do you know whether she is willing or not? Do you know whether she likes you or not?"
Julian looked at Margaret’s angry appearance and smiled, "I didn’t know it before, but I just found out that she likes me very much."
Margaret was stunned. She felt as if her real thoughts were seen through. Her face suddenly turned red as she said in a low voice, "Who likes you so much? Don’t change the topic!"
What she said was not her own problem at all. She was talking about the problem of Julian.
She found that this man was very bad and always had a way to lead the topic to her. It was as if she was the one with the problem. "Alright, let’s not change the topic."
Julian suddenly said seriously. He held her chin with his fingers, lifted her small face, and smiled. "Who said that I don’t like you? I married the woman I like for myself. After all, life is so long, and I have to have some fun."
Margaret curled her lips, "You just want to have fun with me?"
She was not a cat or dog, and she wasn’t responsible for making him happy.
"Isn’t it good to look at the woman I like every day?"
Margaret was stunned. She silently stared at the man in front of her. Her appearance was reflected in his eyes.
She was a little pitiful and a little charming.
Margaret pursed her lips and looked around guiltily, saying in a low voice, "Then maybe you like me!" 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
Julian stared at her little face and knew that she was so unsure.
He smiled and said, "Be more confident in yourself. My woman has both good looks and prominent family background. She is so gentle and considerate, and how could I not like her?"
Margaret didn’t think that these words were exaggerated, but she still felt embarrassed when she was praised directly by Julian.
"Then did you marry me because of your status in the Jorgansen family?"
Margaret asked lightly. Sure enough, she cared about this so much.
After asking, she felt a little strange and secretly sized up the man in front of him.
Before Julian could respond, she covered his mouth and said, "Forget it. Don’t say it."
She knew that this man wouldn’t say anything pleasing, so she surely would be unhappy if she heard it and might as well not listen to it.
She would rather just live in lies.
Julian knew clearly that Margaret wanted the truth but still went against her heart and told him not to say.
He could not help but laugh. This woman’s thoughts were indeed very strange.
He then pulled Margaret’s hand down.
Julian tightly held her arms so that she had no chance to escape.
He said in a deep voice, "Listen carefully. I like you. I don’t care about your identity, but your identity can indeed help me. I married you not only for these things but also to live together with the one I like. Of course, if you really mind that you are too rich and think that I am plotting against you, you can transfer all your wealth to your mother or your brother to see if I will still like you."
Margaret thought that it was really a good idea!
Frowning, she slapped the man’s hand away and snorted, "No way! Since I am so rich, why should I give it to others and live a hard life with you?
"Forget it. It doesn’t matter whether you like me for my money or not. Anyway, it’s not like I can’t afford to raise you. Having much money and having a nice face is also my charm."
After Margaret finished speaking, a hint of pride suddenly appeared in her eyes.
Sure enough, she was such an attractive woman.
Why should she pursue a man’s intentions?
It didn’t matter whether he stayed by her side for love or for money, it was due to her own charm anyway.
She wouldn’t feel burdened because of money.
On the contrary, her identity was one of her superior conditions.
Thinking of this, Margaret was suddenly very happy.
She thought that it was normal for a perfect woman like her to be liked by Julian, which meant that this man’s taste was not too bad.
She was a kind-hearted person and it was not a problem for her to support a man.
"Alright, I’ll go downstairs and see what my mom cooked."
Julian was surprised when he saw that Margaret got happy so soon.
He furrowed his brows, feeling a little displeased.
He grabbed her and pulled her back to the bed.
He turned around and pressed the woman under his body.
His breathing was heavy, which made Margaret so depressed. He then said with dissatisfaction, "Now you’re fine, but I’m not good."
Margaret rolled her eyes and snorted, "What’s wrong with you? Don’t you have enough food or enough clothes? Why are you still not satisfied?"
Julian felt that Margaret’s tone became more and more like her mother’s as he listened and suddenly understood his father-in-law who died young.
He then complained in a low voice, "When did you ever make me satisfied? Have you forgotten about the ’boundary line’ you drew on the bed before?"
Julian raised his head and glanced at the pillow above his head. A trace of disgust flashed in his eyes as he said with dissatisfaction, "It’s finished tonight!"
Julian felt that anyone who slept with that kind of thing in the middle of the bed couldn’t sleep well.
Margaret pursed her lips and asked in a low voice, "After that, will you do anything to me?"
Julian smiled gently. "No, I won’t."
Of course, Margaret didn’t believe him at all.
...
Downstairs.
Orlenna looked at the young couple who were coming downstairs slowly and rolled her eyes with dissatisfaction.
"I told you guys to come downstairs to have dinner, and why do you come so late? Aren’t you hungry? Or is there something delicious hidden in your room?"
Margaret blushed. Hearing Orlenna’s words, she really felt so embarrassed.
She found that her mother was not cautious with her words at all, not like a noble lady of an eminent family.
Orlenna would say what should not be said from time to time that was full of sex implications. As a young woman, Margaret really couldn’t stand it.
With a red face, she said in a low voice, "Mom, it’s just a meal, and we’re not in a hurry. Why should we come so quickly?"
Only when they had finished what they ought to do would they have the mood to eat food.
Margaret felt that her mom was not considerate at all.
Orlenna then looked the two people up and down.
One was fresh and energetic and the other looked so shy and ashamed.
Without any doubt, she knew what these two people had done upstairs.
She then smoothed her expression and said, "Hurry up and eat. I have something to do tonight."
"Mom, what are you going to do?"
Ever since Orlenna lived here, she didn’t go out to play cards and had no friends to have afternoon tea together. What’s more, she didn’t have to take care of her grandchildren or do the housework.
Margaret could not understand what her mother was busy with.
Julian served dishes for Orlenna from the kitchen, and Orlenna looked at him with satisfaction.
She found that her son-in-law was so sensible that he knew what he should do in front of her.
Orlenna then put the bowl of fried fish closer to Margaret because she knew that she loved it most. Then she said unhappily, "I will have a video chat with my grandsons. It’s always me who helped them take a shower. They are my own grandsons, and how can I sleep well if I don’t see them?"
She came here because she was worried about Margaret.
But after she lived here for a while, Orlenna found that she was thinking about her grandsons every day.
She had to admit that she was old, and she missed her grandchildren more and more day by day. Every day she could not see her child, she would feel so uncomfortable.
Although she was now living with her daughter, Orlenna felt that her mind was still rootless, and she was not in the mood to do anything.
Seeing her grandchildren every day seemed to have become one of her habits.
She would be so upset if she couldn’t see them.
Margaret curled her lips unhappily, "Mom, you don’t have to show partiality so obviously, do you? You only love Hilla’s children so much, and have you forgotten that I am also pregnant? Why don’t you say that you can’t sleep without seeing me?"
Margaret’s complaint was interrupted by Orlenna’s look.
Orlenna glanced at her flat belly and said angrily, "How can that be the same? You haven’t even given birth yet and actually, already want to vie for my attention!"
Besides, she remembered that her daughter had never succeeded in striving for her favor.
Margaret grunted in dissatisfaction and muttered in a low voice, "In a few months, I’ll give birth and give you a big shock!"
Julian put the plate of fried chicken legs closer to her. Margaret frowned and looked up at him, "I don’t want to eat this."
"Then I’ll eat."
After Julian finished, he calmly put the plate closer to himself and asked, "What do you want to eat?"
Margaret pointed at the bowl of beef broth, "This."
"Alright!"
Julian responded and pushed it closer to her.
A hint of happiness appeared on Margaret’s face.
Orlenna frowned, "Do you have no hands? You can’t do it yourself, right?"
She just couldn’t understand why her daughter, as an adult, still needed others to serve her when having dinner.
"Mom, you just have your dinner. I didn’t ask you to serve me, and you don’t have to care about it."
Margaret complained in a low voice. She thought that her mother was a single old lady who had stepped into menopause. She could not bear to see the young couple loving each other.
Orlenna was so angry that she wanted to say something, but in the end, she did not say it out.
She found that her daughter had so many problems.
After dinner, Margaret returned to the room with Julian.
The two of them were so intimate for whole a night, making Orlenna so uncomfortable.
She had to accept the fact that her daughter had had a new family and couldn’t stay with her all the time anymore.
In the Anderson’s mansion in River City.
After Orlenna left, Hilla was going to face the three children alone.
Although Emily was well-behaved, she was only three years old after all, so Hilla could not be too reassured.
The other two little guys were running and crawling everywhere. On the first day, Hilla was tired that her waist and back ached.
She just couldn’t understand why Orlenna wanted to be a grandmother so eagerly.
She felt that it was hard enough to be a mother.
Emily came back with the servant. Hilla couldn’t help frowning when she saw two holes in Emily’s clean dress that had just been put on in the afternoon.
Although a piece of clothing was not worth much, Emily was a girl after all, and she was usually so well-behaved.
But those clothes she had worn lately either had holes or were covered in mud.
She really didn’t know how to explain if Halle saw it.
Fortunately, after a careful examination, she found that Emily did not have any wounds.
Hilla heaved a sigh of relief and asked, "Emily, did you play with the boy next door again today?"
Emily nodded, and then she looked at her torn new dress and said with embarrassment, "We played house. The branches of the fence were pulling me and not letting me go."
That was why her clothes were broken.
Hilla smiled, "Be careful next time you play. Emily, don’t get yourself hurt."
Seeing that Hilla didn’t blame her, Emily showed a big smile and nodded hard, "I see, Hilla."
Hilla then asked the servant to bring Emily to change clothes.
Only then did Hilla look at the maid who was responsible for looking after Emily today, saying, "When Emily was playing today, you were by her side, weren’t you?"
The maid hesitated for a moment and then shook her head.
"She didn’t let me come near, and she told me to wait outside the courtyard."
The maid only heard the laughter of the two children and felt that she was playing happily. She then did not go forward to disturb them. Only when Emily came out had the maid noticed her broken dress.
Knowing that Hilla might ask more questions, she felt a little uneasy along the way.
Hilla nodded.
Then she told the maid, "Next time you stay in the yard and watch them play."
The servant quickly nodded. Hilla took a deep breath and turned around, seeing Bruce coming downstairs.
Knowing that Hilla alone could not watch over the two mischievous little guys well, Bruce had very little time to go to the company.
Even so, Hilla still was exhausted.
"Have the two kids finished bathing?"
Bruce stepped forward, and rubbed her shoulders, "Not yet. They like water and don’t want to come out."
Hilla frowned. Didn’t it mean that they were still playing?
Wouldn’t it be bad for them to stay in the water too long?
Thinking so, Hilla turned around to go upstairs but was stopped by Bruce.
"Don’t worry. With the servants around, the two of them are fine."
Hilla always wanted to do it herself for the two children, which was why she felt particularly tired.
There were endless things to do every day, and she almost spent every day chasing the two little guys.
"The two of them always turned a deaf ear to the servants."
Hilla sighed. It would be so great if she had only given birth to one baby.
It was so hard to raise two naughty boys, especially when they were very similar.
Sometimes, Hilla couldn’t even tell.
"Yes, I will discipline them later."
Bruce said but did not let go.
The fingers on her shoulders were still moving at a moderate pace. When Hilla felt comfortable, the man’s voice came again, "Actually, it’s very good to have a daughter."
