Mr. Tycoon's Beloved Wife: The Madam No One Dares to Offend
Chapter 466: Look, This Is Fate
In the room.
Brittany took a sip of the black tea in front of her, and her expression changed slightly.
"Young master just had a daughter, and you became great-grandma. We got one more generation in this family," said the old maid.
Brittany smiled faintly.
"Send this necklace and silver bracelet to the child. I have already prepared them in my box."
Brittany didn’t show much emotion. The maid asked, "Mr. Jorgansen just had a child. Madam, you must be happy about it, right?"
Brittany did not respond. She slowly stood up.
"For someone as old as me, being able to see the next generation is definitely worthy of celebration.
"You don’t have to hide it. It’s not like I can’t see the mockery looks on those people’s faces."
She knew everything.
Julian had a girl. What could a girl do for the Jorgansen family?
Maybe she could marry someone to strengthen the connection with other families, but she could never inherit the family business.
If Julian did not have a son, those people would still have a chance.
That was how everyone thought, and Brittany knew everything about it.
The old maid smiled, "It’s normal for those people to think like that."
Brittany snorted and laughed, "They thought that they got a chance because Julian had a girl. In their dreams!"
"You must have a plan then," said the maid.
Brittany sighed, "I’m too old. I can’t take care of everything anymore."
"Madam, what are you talking about? You are always the beautiful and kind young lady in my eyes."
Brittany smiled. She seemed relaxed.
"You are the only one who dares to joke around with me. After so many years in the Jorgansen family, I have already lost my kindness. From the moment I knew that he did not love me, the Jorgansen family became a cage to me, and I have been trapped in this cage for my entire life."
The old maid knew what she was talking about, and her face clouded over. "The old master... just didn’t know how good you are."
"How can a dissolute person see others? He only cared about himself. He could destroy the Jorgansen family for his mistresses out there. I don’t have a daughter, so my sons are my only hope. After so many years working for this family, I don’t have any feelings left for it anymore."
"Madam, please don’t think that way. This family needs you."
Brittany smiled. This family would be okay without her, but she couldn’t leave this family.
She had many children and grandchildren, and her husband had died young. She had to support the family to make sure the kids grew up safely.
She was struggling to support a scattered family, and she was already exhausted.
"It doesn’t matter if it’s a daughter or a son. The moment she came to this family, she would be part of the family.
"Go and send them the things I prepared. I’m tired, and I need to take a break."
The old maid opened her mouth but didn’t say anything.
She took Brittany to bed and got the things that Brittany needed her to deliver.
She bumped into Sally on the way out.
She sighed, "Madam, don’t beg anymore. Old Madam couldn’t do anything about it."
Sally wiped her tears, "Jessie hasn’t contacted me for a month or two. I’m really worried. No matter if she’s alive or dead, I just need to hear it from old madam."
"Please don’t make things difficult for old madam. She... I’m afraid she doesn’t know what happened to Miss Jessie."
Sally was stunned. Where did Jessie go?
"I still have things to deliver. Madam, please go back."
She left and didn’t waste any more time on Sally.
When Sally walked out of the Jorgansen’s courtyard, she saw Andy waiting there. She frowned and was about to leave out of her subconscious.
"Don’t you want to know where your daughter is?"
Andy chuckled and glanced at the window of the master bedroom upstairs. His eyes looked so vicious.
Sally calmed down when she heard Jessie’s name.
She asked, "You have news about Jessie? You know where she is, right? Is she okay now? Is she still... alive?"
Then Sally felt pain in her heart and started crying.
Although Jessie wasn’t her biological daughter, she had raised her for so many years, and she devoted her life to Jessie.
How could she not care about Jessie?
Because she didn’t have her own daughter, she put all her hopes and love on this child.
Andy glanced at her and sneered, "Don’t worry, she’s fine."
It was funny that Sally was so worried about Jessie. This adopted daughter of hers might seem too weak to take care of herself, but she was not weak at all.
Hearing that Jessie was fine, Sally was finally relieved.
"Where is she? Please take me to see her."
Sensing that Andy did not move, Sally was confused, "What do you want?"
There was no free lunch. No pains, no gains.
Sally was not a fool, and she knew Andy was up to something.
She frowned and hesitated.
Sophie was down, and the Nash family was gone. Andy was just an adopted son of the Jorgansen family. What could he do?
Could it be that he wanted to be the master of the Jorgansen family?
What a joke. Was there no one left in that family? There was no way they would let an adopted son take that place.
"I want you to help me bring out Julian’s daughter so I can take a look at her."
"You want me to steal the child?"
Sally’s heart skipped a beat.
She didn’t dare to do it. Actually, she was afraid to do it.
She had seen the child’s mother multiple times. Even Brittany didn’t dare to cross her. How could she mess with her?
What was more, if she lay a finger on the child, she would offend the Anderson family and the Jorgansen family.
Now, Julian was in charge of the Jorgansen family. Even Brittany had to listen to him. If she crossed the two most powerful people in the family, how could she live in the future?
"Don’t say that. I just love kids. And I lost mine not long ago, so I want to see what this newborn baby looks like.
"Don’t you want to see your daughter?
"You got to exchange someone else’s daughter for your own. Isn’t it a good deal? You have to know that Jessie was living a horrible life abroad. Those people always beat her up and left no food for her. She was always thinking about you, and she wanted to see you one more time before she died.
"Don’t you miss her?"
Andy’s words were like spells, which kept hypnotizing her.
Sally immediately covered her face and cried.
She whispered, "My poor Jessie."
...
Hilla got back the second day after Margaret delivered the baby.
Although she was a little tired because she had to run from River City to Far City back and forth all the time, she was still happy when she saw Margaret.
The baby was chubby and delicate.
Hilla smiled. "The good stuff you ate surely paid off."
Margaret sneaked up to Hilla and whispered, "Do you think my daughter will be overweight when she grows up?"
The baby was only a few days old, and she was chubby already.
Unfortunately, she got jaundice on her body.
Hilla couldn’t help but laugh, "Don’t worry, I bet she will be as pretty as you are when she grows up."
Margaret laughed as well.
When Orlenna came in, she saw Margaret laugh. She rolled her eyes and said to Hilla, "Don’t mind her. You give her an inch, and she’ll take a mile."
Margaret frowned, "Mom, I am a mother too. Please don’t embarrass me in front of my kid, will you?"
"I can’t believe she could feel embarrassment."
Orlenna muttered. She didn’t bother to talk to her and left the room.
Hilla couldn’t help but laugh, "Mom is showing you a lot of respect today."
If it was in the past, Orlenna would have talked Margaret down until she couldn’t fight back.
Margaret pursed her lips and snorted, "Of course she has to show some respect. There will be three people on our side from now on. I dare her to bully me again."
Margaret seemed so full of herself that Hilla wanted to call Orlenna back and beat her up again.
Hilla chuckled and didn’t bother to argue with her.
It felt so different from having a child. Margaret would always stare at her baby when she was sleeping. She would look at her for more than an hour and still wouldn’t feel tired.
"Hilla, she is sleeping so well. Look how cute she is!"
Her daughter must be as cute as her.
Hilla nodded, "Yes, she’s cute indeed. Our baby is the cutest. Right, have you named her yet?"
"Yes, Julian named her Judy, and her pet’s name is Missy. What do you think?"
This topic caught Margaret’s interest immediately.
She kept going, "My daughter will grow up into a fair young lady."
Hilla was amused by her looks. Too bad the child was too young to understand.
Otherwise, how could she stand her constant nagging?
"What a nice name. She must be pretty when she grows up."
"Of course. And my daughter will never marry a Key. Not only that, she wouldn’t marry anyone whose mother’s last name is Marley."
Margaret gritted her teeth. When she thought of how Riya coveted her lovely daughter and wanted her baby boy to marry her when they grew up, she would get agitated.
She suffered so much to give birth to Missy, and she hadn’t spent enough time with her yet.
Hilla couldn’t help but laugh. But then again, she had been with Margaret since she came back, and she hadn’t got a chance to check on Riya and her child.
She turned to Margaret, "I want to visit the Key family later this afternoon."
Margaret shook her head, "Don’t go there yet. There were always too many people there. Those two families treasure that baby boy like no one else. Stefan was the worst, he couldn’t put his baby down for one second, and he even wanted to bring the baby to his work."
It was as if he was afraid of someone taking his baby away. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
Hilla laughed at Margaret for being jealous. "Well, didn’t my brother-in- law do the same thing? I heard he always run to this room immediately after work and always stick to you two, and that mom had to call him several times before he was willing to leave you guys and go to work."
If it wasn’t for the fact that Margaret was still recovering from the surgery, Julian would probably carry her around as well.
Margaret rolled her eyes, but she couldn’t hide the smile on her face. She muttered, "I didn’t ask him to be around our kid. He was the one who couldn’t leave the baby."
Margaret had a great time recovering.
The Jorgansen family didn’t make a fuss about Margaret’s daughter. They only gave her a gift and didn’t bother coming here a lot.
Therefore, Margaret could have a good rest.
As the two of them were talking, a voice came from downstairs.
Hilla took a look and said, "It seems to be someone from the Jorgansen family."
What a coincidence.
The Jorgansen’s got eyes everywhere.
Moreover, it wasn’t just one person. All the females in the Jorgansen family showed up except old madam.
"I’ll go help Mom," said Hilla.
With so many people coming in, Orlenna couldn’t take care of all of them.
Moreover, the Jorgansen family got more women than men.
And each of them brought their maid. There were more than ten cars in the courtyard already.
More than twenty people came in at once. These people didn’t look like they were here to visit. It was like they came to fight.
As soon as they entered, the noise they made became so loud that it could lift the roof.
Most of them came here to strengthen their relationships with Margaret.
The Jorgansen family got a new leader now. They would come here to get familiar with the leader if they were not stupid.
Margaret frowned and said in a low voice, "Why did they come here? I don’t even know a few of them. They are so..."
Margaret’s voice was a little loud, and Hilla quickly pulled her back to her room.
Hilla comforted her, "You can take the kid to the room next door. Mom and I will take care of it."
Margaret was still recovering, so it would be okay if she didn’t show up.
However, Orlenna and her had to deal with them no matter what their goal was.
Although Margaret was reluctant, she still agreed.
These people were so noisy that her daughter couldn’t get a good sleep. How annoying.
Margaret was trying to put the baby to sleep, so Hilla left the room.
She carefully closed the door and went downstairs.
Orlenna was talking to the aunties, and Hilla had to deal with the cousins.
They got lots of relatives in the Jorgansen family.
Hilla was overwhelmed listening to their introduction. Although she met a few of them before.
"You must be Hilla, am I right?"
Auntie Jenny looked up, and her gaze fell on Hilla. She smiled faintly.
They were familiar but not close.
Hilla greeted her. She met Auntie Jenny before when she had classes with Julian.
Auntie Jenny saw Hilla coming over. She couldn’t help but look at Orlenna with a smile.
"I believe fate brought us together. Who could imagine that the kid we saw growing up would marry into the Anderson family, and Anderson’s girl married into our family."?
This must be fate.
