My Aloof Husband, Mr. Drexler, Dotes Me Excessively
Chapter 422: Like a Cage, Trapping Her Here
"The management here is very strict, and mobile phones are not allowed." Katherine Irving shook her head.
Summer Shawcross’s face showed a disappointed expression.
After being lost in thought for a moment, she still got up from the bed.
"Take me around to get familiar with the environment here."
She decided to first familiarize herself with the place, perhaps there might be a chance to escape.
"You finally came to your senses!" Katherine smiled upon hearing this.
...
Half an hour later.
On a shaded trail at Silvanus Manor.
"Just how big is this damn place?" Summer’s voice of frustration suddenly rang out.
She stopped walking, somewhat fatigued, and reached out to steady herself against a tree, resting.
It was only after she ventured outside that she realized this place was so vast, it could hardly be called anything less than a small town.
They had been walking for half an hour, yet had only just made it out of the resort area of this cursed place.
During this half-hour, she even discovered that cameras were everywhere inside, monitoring everything without blind spots.
"You’ve just woken up, your body hasn’t recovered yet, let’s take a break." Seeing her pale face, Katherine quickly suggested.
"No need, let’s keep moving!" Summer eased herself, before getting back on her feet and continuing to walk forward.
Katherine shook her head and could only continue to follow.
...
Late at night, when Summer returned to her room to rest, her body felt as if it had been shattered and pieced back together.
She lay exhausted on the bed for a while before getting up again. She searched the entire room, finally finding a pen and a small notebook.
She opened the notebook and carefully began to draw what she had discovered today.
The map of Silvanus Manor—her legs nearly gave out tonight, but finally, she managed to grasp the general layout of the damn place.
This place operates on a membership system; those who come to spend here are usually high-level members, part of the country’s upper class.
Silvanus Manor consists of two main areas: the resort area and the entertainment area. She is currently situated in a dormitory building within the resort area. The entire Silvanus Manor has four entrances and exits, all guarded by security needing swipe cards for access. Moreover, staff and cameras are everywhere, and with Katherine constantly shadowing her, it’s genuinely challenging to think of leaving this place.
Thinking about this, Summer felt a bit frustrated and reluctantly climbed out of bed, headed to the window, and opened the curtains.
The floor she was on wasn’t high, so she could only see half of the resort’s scenery outside.
The resort was very quiet at night, with marvelous scenery—many trees, and a small river. Especially in such a late and silent night. Under the reflection of the street lamps, the entire resort appeared exceptionally mysterious.
What a pity... such a beautiful place, yet it felt like a cage trapping her here.
...
Two days later, Summer had basically grasped the specifics of Silvanus Manor.
Snow asked her what she was good at, Summer casually replied playing the piano.
Because she had just learned from Katherine that the upscale restaurant over at the entertainment area was currently in need of someone to play the piano.
That’s why she wanted to go there. The area was more crowded and relatively complex, more importantly, it was smaller compared to the resort area, and had two exits, which potentially offered her more opportunities to leave.
