My Aloof Husband, Mr. Drexler, Dotes Me Excessively
Chapter 445: You’ll Ruin Your Health Like This
Hearing her say she wouldn’t eat, a worried expression appeared on Katherine Irving’s face, and she hurriedly tried to persuade her.
"How can that be okay? Not eating will harm your health!"
Summer Shawcross lost the mood to talk further with her. She raised the remote to turn off the TV, then simply turned around and collapsed onto the bed.
"You all can leave now. I’m tired and want to rest!"
Seeing this, Katherine watched her figure for a moment and still couldn’t help but give a reminder.
"I’ll leave the food here, so remember to eat. If you don’t like it, you can call us. The phone in the room connects to the service desk!"
"..." Summer didn’t respond to her words.
Katherine sighed, then turned and left the room.
...
...
Summer slept straight through until the evening when it was dark outside.
A knocking sound on the door woke her.
"Esther, are you awake?" A familiar voice came from outside the door.
Awake now, Summer remembered it was Katherine’s voice.
She didn’t answer, just turned over in bed.
The door was pushed open, and Katherine walked in carefully. Seeing Summer still lying on the bed and the food on the coffee table still untouched, a trace of helplessness appeared on Katherine’s face.
She turned her head and spoke to the attendant behind her.
"Take all of this away and bring something fresh."
The attendants nodded and proceeded to clear the food from the coffee table.
"There’s no need to bother; I’m not eating!" At this point, Summer on the bed couldn’t resist speaking up.
"How can that be okay? You skipped both breakfast and lunch; your body will suffer!"
After Katherine spoke, Summer had nothing more to say, just leaned there resting with a pale, expressionless face.
Seeing her passive attitude, Katherine could only shake her head and turned to leave.
Not long after, the door was knocked again.
Hearing the knock again, Summer couldn’t help but frown. Just as she was about to turn over and continue sleeping, Katherine’s voice sounded again.
"Esther, Snow is asking you to come over!"
"No!" Summer refused without a second thought.
But just two seconds after she spoke, Summer’s expression changed, and she suddenly changed her mind, sitting up from the bed.
"Give me two minutes!"
...
A few minutes later, Summer arrived in a secluded villa area within Silvanus Manor, led by Katherine, and entered one of the small villas.
As soon as they entered, the aroma of food wafted over.
"Sister Snow, Esther is here," Katherine announced loudly as she brought Summer in.
"I’ll be ready in a moment!"
Sister Snow’s voice came from the kitchen.
Before long, Sister Snow came out of the kitchen, dressed in casual attire with an apron on, her curly hair tied up, and no makeup, carrying two dishes which she placed on the dining table on the first floor.
Seeing Sister Snow’s homely look at that moment, Summer was momentarily stunned, feeling a bit unaccustomed.
"Katherine, you can head back now. I have something to discuss with Esther today!" Sister Snow said, coming over to them.
Katherine nodded, glanced at Summer, and then turned to leave.
The villa was now left with just Summer and Sister Snow.
Sister Snow smiled and then led her toward the dining table.
