My Aloof Husband, Mr. Drexler, Dotes Me Excessively
Chapter 485: She Must Go to His Side!
Suddenly, an overwhelming fear struck her, a fear that the incident would happen again!
She stood frozen for a moment before something suddenly came to mind. She turned and ran towards the second floor, stopping at Sherry’s room door, and knocked vigorously.
Before long, the door was opened from inside.
Sherry, wearing a nightgown, looked at Summer Shawcross with sleepy eyes. Seeing her face, Sherry was startled.
"What happened?"
Summer looked at Sherry with anxiety, pleading.
"Take me to Noah Drexler’s place, please?"
She needed to be by his side immediately, right away!
Hearing this, Sherry’s face was filled with confusion, and she asked.
"Why? Didn’t we agree yesterday?"
Hadn’t she already promised to be more restrained yesterday? Why had she suddenly changed her mind before dawn today?
"He’s injured!" Summer reached out and held Sherry’s hand, her voice trembling.
"I must go to him!"
Upon hearing the news of his injury, she couldn’t stay in this place for even a second!
She must go to him!
Her hand was frighteningly cold, causing Sean Morgan’s face to change slightly, and he hurriedly tried to reassure her.
"Don’t rush, I’ll call to find out what’s going on."
Hearing this, Summer could only nod.
Sherry turned and quickly returned to her room, taking out her phone and dialing Sean Morgan’s number directly.
The phone rang several times before someone picked it up.
She quickly hit the speakerphone button.
"Not a convenient time, I’ll contact you later." came Sean’s voice from the phone.
"Sean, it’s me!" Summer gritted her teeth and spoke anxiously.
As her voice came through, Sean’s surprised voice immediately followed from the other end.
"Ma’am?"
"What happened to Noah Drexler?" Summer asked nervously.
Her voice sounded, and Sean paused for two seconds before replying.
"The boss is fine now!"
His voice sounded just like normal, without any hint of anything amiss. If she hadn’t watched the news earlier, she wouldn’t have suspected anything.
But...
"I saw the news!" Summer said through gritted teeth.
"It’s just a minor injury, ma’am, don’t worry." Sean’s reassuring words came next.
Just a minor injury?
The image she had seen in the news showed the aftermath of the car being attacked, with quite a bit of blood inside the car. How could that possibly be just a minor injury...
Summer took a deep breath before continuing.
"Let me talk to him on the phone!"
She needed to hear his voice to be reassured.
After she had spoken, Sean paused for a few seconds and then continued.
"The boss... he’s occupied right now, it’s inconvenient."
Upon hearing this, Summer’s face turned even more ashen.
Just as she was feeling overwhelmed with worry, Sean’s voice rang again.
"Ma’am, I assure you, the boss is not in any life-threatening situation, so... please stay put!"
After hearing his words, Summer froze on the spot, as if all her strength had suddenly faded away...
She knew Sean well enough to know that he wouldn’t say so much if there was really nothing wrong.
But his words made her feel deeply uneasy.
