He knew this from the amount of Sin Value he’d obtained from killing the Bloodthirsty Ancestor. A full one hundred points. He could only imagine how many people one would have to murder to accumulate that much. It wasn’t just about killing any living creature; it would be absurd if one could rack up Sin Value by killing butterflies or fish.

Only killing people increased one’s Sin Value; the more people you killed, the more it accumulated. The Demon Beasts he’d slain before had little to no Sin Value as they hadn’t been on killing sprees. They only awarded a small amount because they were powerful beasts in their own right.

Killing something like an ant, for instance, would grant no Sin Value. Creatures that posed no real threat awarded neither Sin Value nor even experience.

Qing Tianxuan’s face turned ashen. The next instant, he whirled around and fled without a shred of hesitation, abandoning the elder beside him.

"Th-that..." Qing Tianxuan stammered, his heart sinking as he saw Yi Tianyun’s terrifying expression. He instantly realized what a grave mistake he had made.

"L-Listen to my explanation! I... I deserve to die, I..."
