Chapter 184

Robert’s Point of View

I sat on the wooden chair with a cold indifference, lighting a cigarette and taking a deep drag before slowly exhaling the smoke into the face of the man cowering before me. "What’s the matter, Snake?" I asked mockingly.

"Didn’t you enjoy seeing us?"

He tried to thrash around violently, growling from behind his mask, "Untie me, you scoundrel!"

I watched him calmly, bound tightly to the chair with a black blindfold covering his eyes completely. "Let’s see what the Don does when he finds out his right-hand man is in my possession," I said in a resonant voice carrying a dark promise.

"You’ll regret this... I’ll kill you!" he spat with deep-seated malice, shaking his body in a desperate attempt to break free.

I chuckled softly, flicking the cigarette ash onto the floor. "Calm down, calm down... this is only the first day. I’m going to teach you all how to dare steal a shipment from me."

I rose slowly from the chair and exited the dark room, ordering the guard to lock the door firmly, then headed to Carlos’s office. I walked in without knocking. "Carlos, I’m leaving now," I said curtly.

"Fine," he replied, without lifting his eyes from the paperwork.

I paused for a moment, observing his stiff features. "What’s wrong? Why are you so irritated?" I asked.

"It’s nothing, Robert," he said coldly, rubbing his forehead.

"Hmm... alright," I said, narrowing my eyes with suspicion.

I left the warehouse and got into my car. As I was preparing to take off, my phone rang; it was Olivia. I answered immediately. "Yes, Olivia."

"I’m leaving the club now, sir," she said in an exhausted tone. "I don’t feel well... I might be getting sick."

"Fine, Olivia," I said in a businesslike tone.

"The customers who arrived today... I’ve sent them to the girls’ rooms as you requested," she added in a low voice.

"Excellent," I replied with satisfaction.

I hung up, and at that moment, Julie crossed my mind. Is she asleep now, I wonder? Or is she still awake? And did she realize that I was the one who ordered the pizza and hamburger for her?

Remembering her childish amazement, a faint smile formed on my lips. I shook my head in despair at myself and whispered, "Look at you, Robert... you’ve started doing things that don’t befit a mafia man at all."

Julie’s Point of View

I devoured the pizza and hamburger hungrily; I needed a lot of energy to face what was going to happen today. I got up immediately and headed to the bathroom.

I brushed my teeth ten times... or maybe eleven, I don’t know; I stopped counting after eight. I dried my hair and brushed it so it fell smoothly over my shoulders, then began the hardest part: What should I wear?

With trembling hands, I took the phone and started searching. I typed: "What to wear to seduce a cold man?" The results appeared, and I began reading with intense focus:

Option 1: A tight dress that highlights your curves. "No, I definitely won’t wear a dress this late; it would look suspicious."

Option 2: A short skirt and a strapless top. "No, no, that’s a wrong choice too."

Option 3: A sexy nightgown. "Yes! This is the perfect choice since it’s nighttime."

I turned off the phone and hid it in its secret spot, then rushed to the closet, searching frantically. I almost lost hope, believing I had nothing suitable, until I pulled out a nightgown in deep crimson.

It was long with thin straps, the back completely open, and a high side slit that rose daringly high.

"Yes, this is the one."

I put it on and stood before the mirror. My God! How did I look like this? I truly looked like a captivating woman, not just the "little girl" Robert always called me. I began putting on the finishing touches; I had to be bold. I picked up a bright red lipstick but felt it was too daring, so I put it back and replaced it with a soft nude color. I applied eyeliner, mascara, and a bit of blush... and yes, the perfume!

I started sniffing all the bottles until I found what I wanted: a scent that blended vanilla and oud. I sprayed a bit too much, murmuring with a nervous laugh, "Julie, you’re going to poison him with all this perfume!"

Now, how would I get to him? Should I go to his room? No, he’d realize instantly that I came to seduce him. I thought for a moment until the idea of thanking him for the hamburger and pizza flashed in my mind; yes, that’s the perfect excuse.

I looked in the mirror one last time. Damn it, my breasts are almost falling out of this cursed gown! I tried to tuck them in well and cover what could be covered.

I opened the door and stepped out barefoot, heading upstairs, my heart drumming like war beats in my chest. I was trembling with fear that a guard might see me like this, but the hallway was completely empty.

I went to his room and knocked... silence. I knocked twice... no response. I entered the room and checked; it was empty. I went to the office; empty as well.

I went back downstairs in disappointment, and as I was walking through the corridor, I spotted him coming from a distance. I froze in my place, and he began staring at me in total shock.

Yes, this is exactly what’s required! When he reached me, I flashed my most beautiful smile and prepared to speak, but he didn’t give me the chance.

He grabbed my arm with a force that made me gasp, shoved me into my room violently, and slammed the door behind him. Then he shouted in my face, his eyes scanning my body with rampant fury:

"Are you insane?! How can you wear this?!"
