Nova summoned one of the three Imp Archons he had previously sent into the city to investigate anything suspicious. The small Deadborn immediately emerged from his shadow and bowed respectfully before its monarch.

Nova nodded and pointed toward the city.

"Alright, take me there—"Before the Imp Archon could move, Liya suddenly interrupted him.

{Why don’t you check your new class abilities first? You might be very happy with what you got.}

Nova raised an eyebrow.

{It’s not like there’s a time limit on the hidden quest. Besides, your class just reached Level 2, and the new traits or abilities could be extremely useful. They might even help you deal with whatever is hiding inside the city.}

Nova thought about it for a moment before nodding. That actually made sense, the hidden quest wasn’t going anywhere, and understanding his new abilities first was probably the smarter choice.

"Okay, show me." Liya’s cheerful voice immediately echoed in his mind.

The more he thought about it, the more absurd it seemed. As long as he left a Deadborn near someone important to him, he could instantly appear beside them whenever needed.

"If I keep Deadborns near my loved ones, I’ll never have to worry about being late again."
