My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!
Chapter 628: To Eat or Not to Eat?
He lowered his head and fiercely kissed the corner of her lips. For her, he didn’t know how much he’d already changed, but rescuing Hans Montrose was out of the question. Anyone who dared touch Jared Quinn’s woman was destined for a dead end.
"Eat or not eat?" His deep voice was like a giant beast with a gaping, bloodthirsty mouth; if she didn’t eat now, she would be the one devoured later.
Melody Thorne had no appetite the entire day and was already quite hungry. She only wanted to drink a glass of water as if she were dieting, but now...
Her hands angrily grabbed the thermal container from the side, eating one spoonful after another, her legs unclasping from around Jared Quinn’s waist.
Once she had eaten enough, Melody Thorne slammed the thermal container onto the table and stomped upstairs.
Jared Quinn’s fingers brushed against his lip corner. If it weren’t for not being able to touch her, he would have devoured her entirely; as for enduring it?
Not only had the situation not relieved anything, but now he was only more inflamed; his large hand tore open the collar of his robe as he turned and went upstairs.
"Cousin, you haven’t slept yet?" Wendy Lynch yawned as she came downstairs, her gaze brushing over the firm skin of Jared Quinn’s exposed neckline; her ears subtly reddened, as if the room was filled entirely with the appealing scent of male hormones.
"Hmm," Jared Quinn’s eyes scanned over Wendy Lynch. "Why did you come down?"
"I was a bit thirsty and wanted to come down for a glass of water," Wendy Lynch said, her steps a bit unsteady as she headed to the kitchen.
Jared Quinn went upstairs, and only then did Wendy Lynch gasp for air, her heart pounding, especially after witnessing the scene at the dining table. She never expected him to have such a violent and primal side.
Wendy Lynch poured herself a glass of water and turned to leave the kitchen.
In the morning, Melody Thorne woke up very early, as did Timmy, who got up with her, packed his school bag, and got ready for school.
"Ma’am, here are the packed meals," the butler placed the meals on the table.
"Alright, is Timmy ready? I’ll take you to school today, okay?"
"All ready, all ready, coming down right now," Timmy said as he quickly came down with his backpack.
The two left the hall, and Jared Quinn, who had just come down the stairs, stood there, looking as if they had abandoned him, lonely and pitiful.
"Cousin, you haven’t had breakfast yet, have you?" Wendy Lynch returned from her run outside with a playful smile. "I just bumped into my sister-in-law at the door. I was planning to take Timmy to school, but my sister-in-law got up even earlier than me. Oh, by the way, is she coming back for lunch? She took a lunchbox out with her."
Jared Quinn’s gaze fell on the butler.
"Well, madam said she has a friend in a big hospital, so she asked me to prepare a nutritious meal for her to take along," the butler responded.
Jared Quinn’s expression gradually turned grim; he wanted to see just how far Melody Thorne would go for Hans Montrose, especially since she’d even turned against her husband for him.
"So it was for a friend," Wendy Lynch chuckled. "Butler, prepare me breakfast too, please. I’m going to take a shower and will be right down."
"Alright, okay."
At the hospital, when Melody Thorne arrived with the lunchbox, she saw through the glass window that inside, Kiki Sutton was chatting and laughing over breakfast, which seemed not ordered from outside but made by Kiki herself.
