My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!
Chapter 642: What Do You Want to Say?
"Leon Rivers," Jared Quinn lifted his head, his eyes filled with fury, "My illness has relapsed."
He had always thought it might occur at some unknown time and place, but he never expected it to be this soon.
"This soon?" Leon Rivers replied in surprise. He had previously hypnotized Jared Quinn, so it shouldn’t have been this soon.
"It’s already started," Jared Quinn looked down at Melody Thorne in his arms. In a mere minute, he couldn’t control it; in the future, it would only last longer.
"Impossible, that’s absolutely impossible," Leon Rivers exploded, "I had checked before, this condition shouldn’t manifest for at least another two or three years. What’s the reason, what is the reason?"
Leon Rivers exploded,
"Is there anything that could trigger this condition?" Melody Thorne lifted her head, genuinely startled by the revelation.
"No, it can’t be triggered."
Silence engulfed the room.
"Keep this private," Jared Quinn spoke, releasing Melody Thorne. He was already making longer-term plans,
if the condition worsened, Melody Thorne absolutely couldn’t stay by his side.
"Has Kiki Sutton woken up?"
"Not yet, but soon. Fortunately, the car wasn’t going too fast at the time, so she should wake up in under ten hours."
"Let’s go take a look."
Outside the ward, Hans Montrose was already there, standing guiltily at the door, and Caleb was also present.
Melody Thorne stood there watching Kiki Sutton on the bed. She didn’t know how much time had passed when she clearly saw Kiki Sutton’s fingers move.
"Kiki, Kiki, wake up," Melody Thorne excitedly approached, gripping Kiki Sutton’s uninjured hand tightly, "Kiki, wake up."
Kiki Sutton opened her eyes, a frantic panic reflected in them as she looked at Melody Thorne.
"Kiki, don’t be afraid, I’m here. I’m here with you, don’t worry, everything will be fine."
"Hmm," Kiki Sutton attempted to speak, her eyes anxiously fixed on Melody Thorne.
"What do you want to say?" Melody Thorne clasped her hand, "Don’t rush. Relax, Jared Quinn and Leon Rivers are both here. Just focus on waking up for now."
"Hmm," Kiki Sutton shook her head, gesturing for her oxygen mask to be removed.
"She seems to have something very important to tell you," Leon Rivers moved to remove the oxygen mask, "Keep it brief. You just got out of a critical condition, you’re not stable yet, understand?"
Kiki Sutton nodded continuously,
Leon Rivers took off the oxygen mask, and Kiki Sutton, struggling to breathe, looked at Melody Thorne, "Melody, Melody, you..."
"Kiki," Hans Montrose’s voice came from outside, a cryptic light in his eyes as he stood next to Melody Thorne, his expression filled with sorrow and guilt, "I’m sorry."
Kiki Sutton’s gaze, filled with fear, fixated on the man before her, no longer the same as before.
"Get out, get out," Kiki Sutton’s chest heaved violently, "don’t let me see you again, leave."
"Kiki, don’t get agitated. What happened?" Melody Thorne asked, concerned.
Her first instinct was that Hans Montrose had previously mentioned the madness seemed triggered by him; otherwise, why would Kiki Sutton react so strongly.
"I’m sorry, once you’re better, I’ll repay you with my life," Hans Montrose lowered his eyes, full of remorse.
Kiki Sutton could no longer trust the man standing in front of her,
