Chapter 755: You worry too much.

After that... well, that big change. Everyone returned home, but not the normal home, Sapphire’s home where everyone always went. Vergil returned to his own territory, which now resembled a Victorian city created by Selene and her subordinates with the help of the countless demons who had joined his faction.

At that moment, everyone was in his newly built personal mansion.

In a huge, luxurious room, at the center of everything, as if he were the point of equilibrium of that new axis, was him.

Vergil.

Seated on a wide sofa, of refined appearance, but which clearly hadn’t been made to accommodate only one person.

And, at that moment, it definitely wasn’t.

In his lap, Ophis swung her feet nonchalantly, completely oblivious to the weight of the things that had happened, calmly sucking on a lollipop that Stella had given her earlier, as if that were the only thing that really mattered at that instant.

Her expression was neutral as always, but there was something curious about how comfortable she seemed there, as if this were... the right place.

Vergil, on the other hand, seemed... confused. His eyes slowly scanned the room, analyzing...

’How did they get the money to buy so much luxurious furniture? I don’t have a penny in my safe... if I even have a safe... I only use Sapphire’s black card.’

While he was deep in thought, there wasn’t just Ophis... there were many, many people in that room... I mean, many women.

Scattered around the room, some sitting, others standing, some leaning against the walls or near the windows, but all... present. Ada watched silently with her arms crossed, Katharina was nearby, clearly uneasy, Roxanne and Raphaeline exchanged more restrained glances, Sapphire remained as composed as ever, Stella seemed calm, Vivianne brought tea, Morgana was pensive, Seris still showed signs of recovery, Paimon was irritatingly expressive, Sepphirothy maintained that calm yet attentive gaze, Aphrodite seemed more curious than worried, Alice was relaxed but observing... and Lilith, in the background, silent but completely present.

It was... a considerable group. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

And, more importantly—

It was a tense group.

Vergil tilted his head slightly, resting his arm on the back of the sofa as he looked around once more, clearly trying to understand something that, to him, made no sense at all.

"...I don’t understand," he finally said, breaking the silence with a naturalness almost offensive to the atmosphere that hung in the room.

His eyes swept over each of them again.

"...why do you all seem angry?"

The reaction was immediate.

Katharina stepped forward before anyone else could respond, her face clearly showing a mixture of irritation and barely disguised concern.

"We’re not angry!" she said, crossing her arms tightly, as if that would reinforce her argument.

A short pause.

"...we’re worried," she finished, her tone slightly lowering, but without losing intensity.

Vergil blinked once.

"...why?" he asked genuinely.

The silence that followed lasted only a second, but it was enough for another voice to emerge.

Ada.

"Didn’t you hear that voice?" she questioned, her eyes fixed on him, as if trying to gauge how much he really didn’t understand the situation.

Vergil looked at her.

"I heard it," he replied simply. "So what?" he added.

It was then that Lilith moved slightly in the background, her presence effortlessly drawing attention, as if the mere act of speaking was enough to focus attention on that point.

"That..." she began, her voice calm, controlled, but carrying a much deeper weight than any other present, "...was the voice of the world."

The phrase fell into the air with an absurd density, as if each word carried an additional layer of meaning that didn’t need to be explained to be understood.

Vergil didn’t interrupt.

He just listened.

Lilith continued.

"It wasn’t something localized. It wasn’t restricted to this plane." Her eyes fixed on him with more intensity now. "Everything that possesses energy... heard."

"That includes gods, primordial entities, systems, higher consciousnesses... anything that exists in a meaningful way within this sector."

The atmosphere became even quieter.

Because that... put things into perspective.

"Basically..." she concluded, without changing her tone, "...everyone knows."

Then Sapphire stepped forward, continuing the explanation with her usual firm posture, her eyes fixed on him with a seriousness that left no room for softening.

"You didn’t just receive the status of King," she said, her voice clear, direct, without beating around the bush.

"You forced the world to recognize you."

Another pause.

"And more than that..." her eyes narrowed slightly. "...you became the progenitor of a race that... didn’t exist before you."

Vergil remained silent.

But now... he was really listening.

Sapphire continued.

"That’s not just rare," she stated, crossing her arms slightly. "That’s... practically impossible within a stable system."

Sepphirothy gave a slight, almost casual, smile, adding, almost casually.

"You basically broke the world’s classification logic... and forced it to adapt to you," she said, as if commenting on something simple, even though she perfectly knew the weight of it.

Stella sighed beside her, resting her hand lightly on her hip.

"And when something like that happens..." she added, "...everyone who matters pays attention." Vergil closed his eyes for a moment.

He breathed.

Slowly.

"...so you’re worried..." he began, looking around again, now with a greater understanding of the situation.

His eyes swept over each one.

"...because now I’ve become a public problem?"

Paimon let out a dry sound, almost a humorless laugh.

"You’ve become a target," she corrected immediately.

Morgana nodded slightly.

"A very big one," she added.

Raphaeline crossed her arms.

"And a very interesting one," she completed.

Ada kept her gaze fixed on him.

"And probably the most dangerous of all at this moment," she said, without softening.

Vergil remained silent for a second.

"Well, first..." Vergil began, a slight smile appearing at the corner of his lips as he casually raised his hand, pointing with his thumb to the small figure sitting calmly on his lap, completely oblivious to the weight of that meeting. "This here is the Dragon Goddess of Infinity... and yes, it’s her, before any of you think I’m joking." His voice came out too calmly for the content of the statement, as if he were presenting something commonplace, not one of the most absurd existences possible.

Ophis didn’t even react significantly, only continuing to swing her feet in the air while sucking on her lollipop with total nonchalance, as if that revelation had no real impact on the surrounding environment, which, ironically, only made everything even more disconcerting for those listening.

Without giving the others time to even fully process it, Vergil lightly snapped his fingers, and his demonic energy began to condense before him, forming two dense, pulsating masses that quickly began to take shape. It wasn’t a chaotic or uncontrolled creation; on the contrary, every detail was molded with absurd precision, as if he were simply reconstructing something he already knew perfectly.

The forms began to stabilize, feminine contours emerging from the energy, features being defined, presence being solidified until, in a few seconds, two complete figures stood before them, both emanating a familiar aura, yet still... different.

"Crymsaria..." Sapphire was the first to speak, her eyes narrowing slightly as she recognized that presence, her memory instantly recalling the previous confrontation, still fresh enough not to be ignored. Her posture adjusted reflexively, even without any direct intention of hostility.

The newly formed woman turned her face naturally, a small smile appearing as she raised her hand in a slight gesture, almost too casual for someone with that history. "The little girl who used that fire on me, wasn’t it?" "Hello," she said lightly, as if commenting on something trivial, before nodding briefly.

Beside her, the second presence settled completely, and the change in the atmosphere was immediate. The air seemed to cool slightly, a subtle layer of ice beginning to form at the edges of the room, like an involuntary manifestation of the energy she carried.

"Nivara," Sephirothy said without hesitation, instantly recognizing her, her eyes focusing on the details that confirmed her identity. The slight accumulation of ice in her hair, the distant expression, the cold and controlled presence.

"Hello," Nivara replied, her voice low, almost neutral, but carrying a natural coldness that didn’t seem forced, just... inherent.

Vergil observed all this with a slightly satisfied air, as if he were merely demonstrating expected results, and not provoking reactions of that level. Then, resting his elbow on the arm of the sofa, he continued, as if that still wasn’t enough.

"Furthermore..." he began, his voice returning to that calm, almost carefree tone, "...the Qliphoth is currently within my soul."

This time, the silence that followed was heavier.

Before anyone could react verbally, the very energy around him shifted again, but this time differently, more fluidly, more... organically. From that mass of power, a new figure slowly emerged, as if simply emerging from within him, rather than being created.

An elegant woman of distinctly non-human nature manifested, her features reminiscent of an entity connected to life, to the earth... and something deeper. Her red hair fell softly over her shoulders, and her smile carried a quiet, almost provocative confidence, but without overstepping the mark.

"Don’t worry..." she said, her voice flowing smoothly as her eyes swept over the group naturally, like someone perfectly comfortable in the situation. "...our dear friend here is in top form."

The tone had a slight suggestive nuance, but not exaggerated, more a personality trait than a direct provocation, and yet, it was enough to completely shatter any attempt to keep the atmosphere under control.

The result was immediate.

Silence.

It was as if everyone was completely recalculating the situation, realizing that what had previously seemed dangerous... had now escalated into something that simply could no longer be treated as a common problem.

And, at the center of it all—

Vergil simply remained seated on the sofa.

With Ophis in his lap.

With a tranquil expression.

As if, for him... it was still completely normal.
