Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven
Chapter 509: The Scale of endless reality
Alan Benson was the best guy for that.
"Yes, Master. I will be right there. I am already preparing a reality ship. I am currently not in our universe."
"What?" Grey was baffled hearing this.
"This is but a fragment that I left behind in this universe," Alan clarified. "I will get there soon."
"..." Grey looked at Alan Benson in a new light.
Of course, he should have already expected it. How could the creator of the Esper Path be ordinary? It turned out he was a multiversal traveler!
"Do you use World-Breaking Source Power to travel across the multiverse?" Grey inquired curiously.
"Not necessarily," Alan Benson shook his head. "But I am surprised you know about it, Master. It is said to be a power born from something ancient that once birthed the endless reality."
[It is the Core. World-Breaking Source Power is actually from the Ascendancy Domain. That is why you can freely move about different planes of existence using it. World-Breaking Source Power, however, is used for something completely different in the Ascendancy Domain.]
Finality spoke lazily directly into Grey’s mind.
Then, Alan Benson continued speaking.
"World-Breaking Source Power is not the best option when it comes to multiversal travel. That power is usually used to ascend to a higher-tiered world, or perhaps even forcefully break into a higher world if you possess enough of it. The endless reality, as we know it, is truly endless."
"It has several tiered planes of existence, ranging from a Tier 1 plane of existence, where the top existence might only be at the peak of the 1st rank of evolution. And there will be an endless amount of Tier 1 planes of existence being birthed every second. As we speak, more than a million new worlds in the Tier 1 plane of existence have already been born."
"Just like that, planes of existence scale upwards from there. But of course, it is never truly infinite. That is exactly why Finality exists; it is there to keep the balance. The ancient power that birthed the endless reality is actively trying to create more planes of existence, but Finality prevents too many from being born to maintain equilibrium. If more are born, more will die. That is the fundamental role of Finality."
"No matter what, balance is absolutely necessary."
"Anyways, back on topic. We are currently in a Tier 10 plane of existence. We have our own multiverse, and there is a vast amount of worlds around us as well."
"To cross into each of these planes, World-Breaking Source Power isn’t strictly necessary. You just need what we call a reality ship, a vessel that can survive the chaos outside the universal walls."
"The chaos?"
"Yes. In all worlds, no matter what, there exists only one absolute truth outside, and that is chaos. Chaos is actually a very crucial component for breaking through the shackles of a universe as well."
"Chaos is where the ancient races that follow the Primordial Path reside. Of course, to find them, you would need to travel incredibly far, reach the absolute end of the plane of existence’s wall, and perhaps even cross into higher planes of existence."
"Are there more tiers above ours?" Grey asked.
"Yes, two. After that is where the true higher worlds come in."
"They can directly birth and contain 11th rank and 12th rank existences effortlessly."
"Of course, the core concept of evolution is still prevalent there."
"But you might not know this piece of history, Master Grey."
"The very concept of evolution was actually born directly from our universe."
"What?" Grey was completely baffled hearing this. "How can that be possible when there are two worlds higher than us that still follow the path of evolution?"
"Well, to put it bluntly, that is what they say, even in the higher worlds."
"As for the absolute truth, I am not sure myself."
"You might have to ask the Origin Will," Alan Benson said meaningfully. "I have noticed her presence lingering near you at all times."
"Huh?" Grey was dumbfounded when he heard this.
"Are you here, Origin Will?" Grey asked internally.
And much to his surprise, he actually received a prompt reply. "Hmph, I am just observing you in case you cause more trouble. I do not want you making any more trouble in my universe."
The Origin Will said this with a phantom image of her sticking her tongue out before she quickly disappeared.
Grey was speechless.
Great. Now he had two distinct voices living inside his head.
"By the way, while we are on that topic, is what Alan said the truth?" Grey asked.
"Could be true, could be false," the Origin Will said with a mental shrug as she reappeared. "I cannot tell you anything specific about the universe. Me telling you the ultimate truth would be going directly against the heavens."
"Tch." Grey clicked his tongue in annoyance.
"Of course, you are a hateful guy. You wouldn’t mind if I got hurt by the Heavenly Dao, so you must be thinking I am annoying. Hmph," the Origin Will said while crossing her arms indignantly.
"But I will tell you this. What he said... it might have some sort of truth to it. But I am not really sure myself."
"Huh? How are you not sure about your own history? You are the Origin Will," Grey asked, completely baffled.
"I cannot say anything beyond that. But like I said, our world has a very long history. It is one of the few worlds that was active whilst the previous Heavenly Dao was still active."
"It is said that the Chaos Emperor was born here."
"Eh?" Grey was utterly stunned by this massive piece of information.
"Yep. The reason why I did not appear next to you while you were making trouble in the Milky Way Galaxy was due to his lingering powers. His remains are still scattered around this universe. The turbulence around that specific galaxy was caused by one of his remains. His source or something similar. But it seems like someone had already taken possession of it. Probably that Tian Yuan guy."
"I hate him way more than I hate you, to be completely honest."
"Oh." Grey was surprised. This was a very interesting piece of information indeed.
