Chapter 1495: Chapter 1495: The Key

"Thud—"

A dull sound came from a distance, and the man’s footsteps also stopped.

Archer asked, "That person?"

Hannah explained, "There’s a large garbage landfill over there." So that man must have fallen into a pit.

After saying that, she squatted on the ground and studied the piece of steel pipe with great interest, as if watching ants move house.

Archer came over, wanting to pull her up.

But Hannah suddenly stood up, still holding the steel pipe in her hand, and spoke happily, "Archer, how about this pipe for you as a weapon?"

People in the refugee area even struggled to find enough to eat, let alone have extra food to trade for real weapons.

So simple weapons like steel pipes, wooden sticks, and bricks were something everyone always kept on hand.

"For me?" Archer was a bit slow to react.

Hannah nodded, then reached out to hand it over but pulled back.

"Never mind, steel pipes are dangerous, children shouldn’t touch them."

The young girl spoke seriously.

Archer was stunned for a moment, then obediently nodded, "Okay, I won’t touch it."

Archer listened well to what Hannah said.

Even though Hannah was younger than him.

Seeing her own child being so good made Hannah very happy.

She led Archer to the outside of her stone house, then reached into her pocket to search for the keys.

She was still holding a bunch of freshly picked flowers in her hand, which was somewhat inconvenient.

Archer then reached out to take the flowers from her.

With her other hand free, Hannah continued to look down and search for her keys.

Finally, she fished out a small golden key from the left pocket of her pants.

The key was beautiful, like a finely carved work of art.

It was only then that Archer noticed, not just the key, but even the lock on the door was very pretty.

Gold in color, and decorated with carved flowers.

On the other side of the stone house, a window was installed, and on a small platform extending outward from the window were two pots of unnamed small flowers.

They somewhat resembled the bunch he was holding in his hands.

The window was closed, with a floral curtain drawn, making it impossible to see clearly inside the house.

If it hadn’t been for the scenes he’d witnessed while walking here, he might have thought this stone house stood deep in a forest, unique and chic.

The door opened, and Hannah happily beckoned Archer to come in.

The space inside the house was not large, and everything could be seen at a glance.

On the left was a fireplace, with a pile of unburned firewood and simple cooking utensils next to it.

Not far in front of the fireplace was a rocking chair, covered with a furry animal skin, looking very warm.

To the right and further inside lay a pink bed with a blanket printed with strawberries and rabbits, and the bedhead was white and carved with a hollow wooden pattern, resembling the style of a princess bed. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

Twenty centimeters to the right of the bedhead was the window, and underneath it was a desk with drawers, and below the table was a chair of matching color.

And just three steps ahead of him was a simple dining table for two.

The house was small, but decorated warmly.

Pink and white polka-dotted tablecloths, fluffy carpets laid on the floor, and ornamental items hung on the walls.

All these careful little touches looked exceptionally beautiful.

Like what Hannah said, her house was the prettiest in the entire Bully.

"Archer, Archer, isn’t my house pretty?" Hannah spun around and then ran in front of Archer, looking up at him.

Her eyes sparkled, starry without any light.

Archer nodded, smiling in response, "Very pretty."
