A dozen people went together, taking a carriage to the suburb.

With so many people accompanying each other, nobody knew what fear felt like.

To avoid being noticed by Feng Fuce, Zhi’er tried to remain calm.

That legendary Ghost Mansion in the suburb was indeed very small.

The long uninhabited courtyard was covered in green moss.

The stone decorations inside were scattered and fallen.

If there were really ghosts, they might have been scared away long ago.

Zhi’er entered the door but didn’t feel any unusual atmosphere.

She followed everyone across the threshold, but the alcohol made her steps a bit wobbly.

Zhi’er stumbled, and Feng Fuce had already caught her steadily.

"Drunk?" His calm, cold voice carried a hint of a sneer.

Zhi’er straightened her body and slightly raised her chin, "Not at all, I just wasn’t careful."

Most of the young masters and boudoir ladies were pampered and had never seen what a prison looked like.

They followed the passageway downward and saw the abandoned cells.

The air emitted an unpleasant smell.

Quite a few boudoir ladies held their noses and refused to go further.

"It’s so dirty, there must be rats."

Upon hearing this, Zhi’er quickly grabbed onto Feng Fuce’s sleeve.

If there were rats, she’d be the first to jump into his arms.

Feng Fuce glanced around the dungeon, his eyes suddenly turning mysterious.

There was still something there.

A few boudoir ladies peered inside; it was pitch black, and they couldn’t see anything.

Cold winds eerie and cutting blew back and forth.

They were a bit frightened.

He awkwardly turned his head, "No, I’m not scolding."

As he spoke, he wrapped his arm around Zhi’er’s waist, letting her lean entirely on him for support.

Just then.

A terrified scream echoed from deep within the passage.

Everyone shuddered in fright, jarring Zhi’er awake a bit.

The boudoir ladies were shocked into pallor.

"That voice just now sounded like Yao Liang."

"Could he have been caught by a ghost!"
