One-Eyed Monster
Chapter 854 - 852: Unbelievable Potential (Part 2)
"Uh, I see it." Through the glasses Igor could see clearly, but he didn't know what it was and was waiting for Perkins' explanation.
"These are the details we've overlooked. The insects inside this clover are very, very small, nearly impossible to observe with the naked eye, and they can only survive in enclosed conditions."
"Uh..." Igor scratched his head; this explanation seemed too mysterious and somewhat obscure, and he didn't quite understand it.
"That's what we call details. Although this looks like an insect, I can't be completely sure," Perkins continued to explain. "What I can confirm is that this thing can enhance our spirit power."
"Relying on these insects?" Igor was curious. He felt that putting these insects on a person was quite impolite, a bit disgusting.
"No, of course not. These are just to illustrate the details we've ignored. The enhancement of our spirit power still comes from the clover itself."
"Directly eating the clover?" Igor asked again. He felt his analysis was correct; he wondered if there could be other methods.
The use of clover is well known; everyone knows its use in stopping bleeding—either by applying it directly to wounds or steeping it in water to drink. Even children can manage this, with no technical skill required.
Igor didn't know what methods Perkins would use to employ this clover; he couldn't figure it out anyway.
"Hehe, let me tell you, what makes an apothecarist an apothecarist is their ability to see details and freely combine them. Unlike you, an apothecarist relies on experience. That's why I'll take out this sheepskin book, where experiences are recorded—many things can't be fully remembered in the mind."
After speaking, Perkins passed the glasses and bottle to others; everyone showed amazement after seeing the spectacle.
No one expected the clover to have such circumstances; not everyone could understand these things.
"Alright, that's about it. An apothecarist needs to know not just the characteristics and details of plants, but also how to manage timing," Perkins gave Stan Sol a wink, indicating that it was almost time to try.
Stan Sol quickly understood, standing up from the carriage, but because the carriage was quite small, he hit his head with a bang.
"Hehe, no need to get up, just stay seated," Perkins quickly gestured, indicating Stan Sol should sit down.
Stan Sol sat down, patiently awaiting Perkins' next move.
Perkins opened the glass bottle and then reached beside Stan Sol's nose, grinning and saying, "Inhale deeply!"
Stan Sol did as instructed, taking a deep breath from the bottle.
Suddenly, Stan Sol felt a fragrant aroma enter his nose and quickly reach his brain, invigorating his entire body, and his spirit became instantly refreshed.
"How about it? Isn't there a feeling of sudden clarity with your spirit power enhanced?" Perkins said with a smile.
Stan Sol nodded.
Stan Sol's action surprised everyone, who looked astonished at him and then at Perkins.
"Don't worry; a single clover leaf can provide plenty. If you all want to temporarily enhance your spirit power, you can give it a try—just inhale deeply from the bottle."
Igor was the first to try, taking a deep breath from the bottle, indeed feeling refreshed, as if he were running under the starry sky.
"No need to worry, this isn't the Berserk Potion extracted by alchemists; it's a gift of nature, the potential of clover. We're merely using its potential to awaken our own," Perkins explained, acknowledging how the deep inhalation might feel akin to smoking, though tobacco leaves always cause harm to people.
"Potential?" Igor asked, as he and Stan Sol took turns questioning Perkins, though Igor was the one speaking.
"Yes, we never knew that clovers only have three leaves because the insects merge them together. These insects rely on the clover to exist, pulling the original leaves together, coexisting with the clover, many of its functions being linked to these, um, insects," Perkins explained, though his words were somewhat vague, indicating some uncertainty.
"Didn't you just say these things might not be insects?"
"Yes, and that's why I'm puzzled. These things aren't something we can fully grasp. They appear to be insects, but their true nature isn't definitively known. We only know that they can enhance people's spirit power without any side effects."
"You keep saying 'we'; do you have a group or something? Uh, I'm asking on Stan Sol's behalf," Igor scratched his head.
"Well, sort of, but they're all hidden, unlike me, hehe," Perkins said.
"Uh, so what's the underlying principle?" Igor continued to ask.
"The characteristics of clover have been summarized many times, but in the end, it's found to be unexplained, just like its ability to stop bleeding—it's also unexplained," Perkins said. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
Many things cannot be explained, such as the Sharkmon associated with Stan Sol, which also defies language-based explanation—it remains an inexplicable existence.
"We can only classify these inexplicable things as part of their intrinsic potential, just like the potential within us that cannot be fully understood," Perkins continued.
"Your discovery is quite remarkable, but why isn't it being applied in professional circles?" Igor asked on Stan Sol's behalf.
"Let me tell you, many things we consider beneficial to the world are thought differently by some. Though I've shared what I know, not everyone does the same; some treat these things as private property, selling them," Perkins said.
"Selling?" Igor was puzzled.
"Yes, anything with value will be sold, a commonplace thing," Perkins said casually, as ordinary as eating and drinking tea.
