One-Eyed Monster
Chapter 892 - 890: Go with the Flow
Igor was quite excited at this moment.
This truly was a magical occurrence, as shortly after a few of them arrived at Teacher Hadi's place, they each started to feel excited.
It seemed as though Teacher Hadi had given them a sweet nectar...
Without doing much, Teacher Hadi made these three fellows feel a great sense of gain; this indeed was something peculiar.
Now Igor was reflecting on the ability for detailed insight he had gained. Stan Sol was grateful to Teacher Hadi for helping him break through a barrier, advancing his cultivation, while Perkins engaged enthusiastically with Teacher Hadi in discussion about memories...
They seemed to have cast aside the initial purpose of coming here, as the joy of gaining new insights overwhelmed them, making them a bit too excited...
Though it wasn't entirely like this.
Igor and Perkins came here initially to verify Igor's hypothesis regarding the peculiar condition of Perkins. Now it seemed this hypothesis no longer required verification, as Teacher Hadi already pointed out that Perkins had the scent of a Tree Spirit, mentioning that Perkins was fundamentally not an Adventurer, which somewhat affirmed Igor's speculation. Although the specifics regarding the integration of Tree Spirit blood were still to be considered, Perkins being able to partake in the world of Adventurers as a Non-Adventurer indeed had a connection with the Tree Spirit.
As for Stan Sol, he came here looking for Tobin, with Rostov providing him a lot of information. This information was truthful, and it had been verified within Igor's Inner World. Upon arrival, Stan Sol reflected on his connection with his brother, sensing the fast flow of blood within himself, with a strong reaction to the part related to Tobin... These signs indicated to him that the answers he sought were about to reveal themselves, and now, all he could do was adjust and elevate himself. Because he believed the challenges that immobilized his brother must be formidable opponents, thus he needed to face them in the best state. πππ¦β―πΈπ¦ππππ·β―π.πππ
Therefore, when Rostov invited him to go immediately, he refused. He aimed to restore his best state, and unexpectedly, upon reaching Teacher Hadi's place, not only did his state improve, but he also advanced, which was really surprising to him.
As for Perkins, he finally found someone with whom he could genuinely share stories.
This was more important to Perkins than anything else.
Previously, when Perkins told stories to share his experiences, it mostly ended with putting listeners to sleep, and those willing to hear him out often considered him either a fraud or mentally unstable... After all, nobody took him seriously before, either comforting him or mocking him, which left him unsure of how to express himself.
Finally, he met Igor, who was willing to listen without falling asleep and even helped him analyze why his storytelling usually ended in failure.
Igor already brought Perkins comfort, but he didn't expect that upon arriving at the Yonder Travel Academy, the first person he met would discuss his travels.
This was beyond Perkins' imagination, as to him, this was harder than ascending to the heavens.
"Did you not encounter any Adventurers on your journey?" Teacher Hadi asked, chatting with Perkins made him feel much younger, as Perkins' experiences brought back memories of his own youth.
"Apart from my traveling companions, I haven't encountered any Adventurers at all, alas." Perkins sighed, seemingly reluctant to bring up such matters.
"Indeed, Adventurers tend to be reclusive; it can't be helped, that's just how they are, most people today are probably old folks too." Teacher Hadi expressed concerns about the Adventurers, as very few Adventurers with Class currently choose this profession could be worrisome.
"Igor wants to become an Adventurer, which shows the profession still holds some allure," Perkins replied.
"True, not entirely hopeless; there's always hope, like a small flame flickering."
Igor was taken aback; he didn't expect Teacher Hadi and Perkins to suddenly talk about him.
Clearly, earlier he heard these two discussing various aspects of the Vero Realm, and in the next moment, they were discussing him; such a shift was quite swift, indeed.
Igor looked puzzlingly at Teacher Hadi and Perkins, yet these two continued their chat as if nothing happened.
"Have you been to the Water Spirit domain? The scenery there is pretty nice."
"Indeed, the azure sea and blue sky, truly beautiful, although sometimes the waves are quite strong."
"Ever seen a Water Spirit? That's quite a rare sight."
"No, Water Spirits are quite wary of our large ships, but at night, one often hears the Water Spirits' melodies, those songs are indeed beautiful." Perkins' face was filled with admiration, seemingly enchanted by the songs.
"Indeed, hearing such songs even once is unforgettable, with ethereal voices mimicking the natural sound of water dropping into a river."
Perkins and Teacher Hadi chatted casually, seemingly forgetting about Igor and Stan Sol.
Although Igor and Stan Sol wanted to join the conversation, they couldn't find a way to break in.
The two's conversation range was so extensive that others couldn't keep up with their pace.
Just now, they were discussing Water Spirits, but now they were speaking of Mountain Monsters from the Ghost Realm.
They drifted from topic to topic without including Igor and Stan Sol, consistently keeping them out of the loop.
"So tell me, having traveled the world for so long, why did you suddenly return now? Is the world no longer worth exploring?"
"How could that be; I certainly haven't explored enough." Perkins said with a smile.
"Haha, just like me, are you too old to continue?" Teacher Hadi suddenly laughed.
"Not at all, look, I still seem quite young..."
"With Tree Spirit's blood in you, maintaining bodily functions akin to youth is quite normal; think about how Queen Wensi hunted for Tree Spirit's Ears for beauty..."
"I haven't really concealed my appearance or age..." Perkins wanted to cry but had no tears, "I've always adhered to nature's rules."
"Letting nature take its course is best, that's quite good." Teacher Hadi continued.
"I returned because I was troubled, hoping my friend could resolve my confusion as it was his inspiration that led me on this path, and now, not only have I not found the answers, but have encountered a bottleneck, alas."
"Doing things this way is letting nature take its course too; it's pretty decent." Teacher Hadi commented, with a playful look.
