Our Anniversary, You Chose Her – I Chose Divorce
Chapter 495: They Are All Liars
William Quinn continued to stare fixedly at Nathaniel Monroe.
He was trapped in Breyburn. On the surface, Walker Grant was entertaining him with the best food and drink, but he wasn’t allowed to leave because he was a wild card.
As long as he was here, his men wouldn’t dare to make a move. If they showed even the slightest sign of activity, his life could be forfeit.
Therefore, here, he was virtually powerless.
He had asked Walker Grant for help finding the girl from his first night, even promising him a great deal in return.
But they refused to help him!
And now, he was certain. They knew for a fact who the girl from his first night was and where she was, yet they refused to tell him!
They were deceiving him!
What a bunch of bastards!
’I’ll kill them all!’
Madness and malice surged in William Quinn’s blue eyes, but he was keenly aware of his predicament and forcibly suppressed the urge.
He looked at Walker Grant, his expression more serious than ever before. "You’d better keep your word. Otherwise, your wife could die at any moment."
’He no longer trusted Walker Grant!’
’Only threats would get him what he wanted!’
Walker Grant’s long, narrow, dark phoenix eyes narrowed dangerously. He said coolly, "I will find the person and deliver her to you."
William Quinn sat back down on the sofa, no longer interested in the spectacle. An air of gloom enveloped him, making him look like a madman who could snap at any second.
Nearby, Sean Miller was already drunk, passed out on the table.
Walker Grant had someone take Sean Miller away. He then said to Nathaniel Monroe, "You should head back for now."
Nathaniel Monroe nodded. "Alright, I’ll head out then. Just give me a call if anything comes up."
"Mm."
The private room soon fell silent.
Walker Grant walked over to Chloe Reed. Her anxiety was plain to see, even through the mask.
He leaned down and took her hand. "I’ve already found a very skilled hypnotist. We’ll have him put William under, and we should get some answers."
Chloe Reed’s eyes immediately lit up. "Really? Will it work?"
"Yes."
Walker Grant affirmed, but then his tone shifted. "But I had to call in a huge favor."
Chloe Reed pursed her lips and asked, "What do you want?"
Walker Grant’s dark phoenix eyes were fixed on her. "Five extra times."
"Absolutely not!"
Chloe Reed immediately shook her head, her clear eyes dead serious as she looked at him. "I can do something else, but not that!"
Walker Grant, however, arched an eyebrow. "But aside from that, I don’t know what else you can do for me."
He adopted a pensive look. "Cook for me? Your cooking isn’t as good as mine, so never mind that. Help me with work? Do you even know anything about it? What else is there?"
Chloe Reed fell silent.
’So, in his eyes, I’m completely useless?’
She was fuming inside but held her ground. "In any case, the answer is no. Pick something else."
Walker Grant chuckled softly and said, "Three times."
Chloe Reed was still hesitating.
Walker Grant’s voice dropped a little lower. "Two times. I can’t go any lower."
She squeezed her eyes shut. "Deal!"
Walker Grant pulled her to her feet and headed straight for the door.
William Quinn’s hollow voice drifted from behind them. "Seven days. I want all the information on the girl from my first night. Otherwise..."
Walker Grant glanced back, his phoenix eyes cold as he looked at him. "Then you might as well die."
William Quinn’s face contorted!
After they left, he furiously kicked over the coffee table and proceeded to smash everything in sight, venting his rage.
