Oliver slowly raised his dagger while trying to process what was happening.

"System, why can’t I see the monster’s name or rank?" Oliver asked. This was the first time something like this had happened, and it immediately put him on guard.

"This is actually a pretty dangerous situation. I have no idea what this monster is capable of. But I should assume it’s at least a Rank-S monster." He tightened his grip on the dagger while staring at the massive figure before him.

But somehow, Oliver felt something strangely familiar as he stared at the monster before him. Parts of the creature’s body looked like monsters he had seen somewhere before.

As he tried to remember, a voice suddenly heard from behind the Chimera.

"So you finally came, Ice Princess. I thought I already told you to come alone." A masked figure wearing a robe slowly stepped out from beside an altar-like structure. It was Helton, disguising his identity.

"But never mind. One extra person won’t change anything," he continued mockingly.

"Who are you? And what exactly are you planning? You should know that my soldiers have already surrounded this city. There’s no way for you to escape." Aria said.

"Hahaha! Who I am is something you don’t need to know. Since both of you will perish here today, I might as well tell you something. After years of experimenting on rare and exotic specimens, I have finally completed my ritual of monster fusion."

"As you can see, the creature before you is a combination of three monsters... and one special ingredient." He slowly spread his arms dramatically toward the Chimera.

"Special ingredient?" Oliver and Aria exchanged glances. Both of them suddenly felt something deeply sinister from the way he said those words.

"Yes. The special ingredient is a human being! One of your little friends was fortunate enough to become part of my experiment."

"What was his name again? Wayne? Will? Or perhaps Waine?" He tilted his head slightly as if trying to remember.

"I don’t really remember. But he should feel honored to become part of something that will forever change the world of tamers!" He burst into maniacal laughter.

Meanwhile, Oliver’s eyes turned extremely sharp. His grip on the dagger tightened so hard that his knuckles whitened.

Even though Waine constantly mocked and looked down on him, he was still a human being. He was someone’s son and someone’s brother.

If his family ever learned what had happened to him, they would surely be devastated. Losing Tamera had taught Oliver how painful loss truly was.

He slowly looked into the Chimera’s eyes. Despite its monstrous appearance, Oliver somehow felt as though Waine was silently begging him for help from within the creature.

"Don’t worry, Waine, I’ll help you." Oliver muttered softly while closing his eyes. This time, he was truly serious.

Aria glanced toward Oliver and immediately sensed a powerful change in his aura.

"Hah! Trying to act cool, huh?" Verner sneered mockingly from the side.

Oliver then slowly opened his eyes once more. His pupils had turned green.

"COME AND KILL THEM, NYX!!!" Oliver roared.

Immediately, a massive summoning array erupted behind him as Nyx emerged once again. At the very same moment, a powerful green aura burst violently from Oliver’s body.

This was the debut of the Carapace Blaster class!

Oliver’s hair instantly turned green, while all of his attire transformed into a bright emerald color. A massive cannon formed around his right arm.

However, the most striking feature was the pair of wings made entirely from green aura that appeared behind his back. His body slowly floated above the ground and his eyes had become completely serious.

However, the moment her sword swung down, Helton’s body instantly transformed into a swarm of cicadas before scattering into the air.

The swarm rapidly flew toward Nyx before gathering once more. Helton materialized directly in front of the giant monster and immediately raised the forbidden lantern high above his head.

"Forbidden Taming! Unholy Prayer of Corruption!" he shouted.

The moment Oliver heard those words, his expression darkened instantly. He recognized that skill.
