Pregnant Cultivator, Doted by Big Boss
Chapter 208 - 206: When It Comes to Money, They Really Pay
His figure halted in mid-air, and he tapped his phone to open the ’Demonic Sect Express’ app. The price for this order was listed at the top, marked for express delivery. Generally, express orders paid extra Spirit Stones.
"This order pays ten low-grade spirit stones. Not bad at all."
As a Cultivator, flying dozens or even a hundred times a day only took up a small amount of time, but it allowed one to earn Cultivation Resources. For the many Loose Cultivators who cherished freedom, disliked being constrained, and hadn’t joined any faction, the ’Demonic Sect Express’ app provided an excellent source of income.
They no longer had to risk their lives fighting for resources. As long as they delivered their accepted orders on time, they would receive Spirit Stones.
The Demonic Sect Express app kept a record of how many orders they completed each day. Once their earnings accumulated to one hundred Spirit Stones, they could make a withdrawal. Someone from The Demonic Sects would then teleport the Spirit Stones directly into their hands. It was incredibly convenient.
Those who completed a high volume of orders could even receive a monthly bonus of three Mid-grade Spirit Stones, courtesy of the Bloodfiend Den. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
He had been at it for a month, and thanks to his diligence in taking orders, he had already received those three Mid-grade Spirit Stones.
If the Spirit Stones weren’t already safely in his storage bag, he’d find it hard to believe that the promised reward was actually real.
Sometimes, he found himself thinking that the people of The Demonic Sects were more straightforward. At least when they promised Spirit Stones, they actually delivered.
He remembered the time someone had him deliver something to an elder of the Seven Great Celestial Sects, promising a reward upon completion. But after he went through all the trouble to deliver it, the client never mentioned the payment. Instead, they wore an arrogant expression, as if he should feel honored just to have the opportunity to serve them.
If he weren’t just a Loose Immortal, unable to defeat them in a fight, he would have demanded what he was owed.
The more he thought about it later, the angrier he became.
’Thinking about it this way, while there were certainly irredeemable villains among Demon Cultivators, there was no shortage of sanctimonious hypocrites in the Immortal Sects either. The world is fair in its own way, I suppose.’
He glanced at the delivery address.
"Azureharbor... Cloudrest Manor. Recipient: Irene."
"Just one more delivery, then it’s time for Cultivation."
As he spoke, his figure flew off and vanished.
He wasn’t the only one. The other Cultivators zipping back and forth across the sky were also delivery couriers. Cultivators didn’t need to sleep, so they could spend their days making deliveries to earn Cultivation Resources and then return to their own residences to practice Cultivation at night.
At that moment, in cities all across The Cultivation World, the silhouettes of numerous Cultivators could be seen streaking through the sky.
On their phones, vibrations would go off from time to time with a notification.
"Greetings, Cultivator. You have a new delivery order."
"Greetings, Cultivator. You have a new delivery order."
"Greetings, Cultivator. You have a new delivery order."
For a time, all across The Cultivation World, countless packages descended from the heavens, wrapped in Spells as they were delivered into the hands of their recipients.
"Package for Tricia Warren! Who’s Tricia Warren?"
A woman in the city tilted her head up slightly. "No need to shout so loud, it’s embarrassing."
The female cultivator who received the package was a sturdy, stout woman. She looked up at the young man hovering in the sky. "My, my, what a handsome young man. Ever considered marrying into a wealthy family?"
The delivery Cultivator was so startled he frantically waved his hands. "No, no, ma’am! My teeth are no good, I can’t eat ’soft rice’! Your package is delivered, please remember to leave a five-star review!" The moment he finished speaking, he fled on his sword.
The female cultivator, Tricia Warren, put a hand on her hip. "Youth is wasted on the young! They never appreciate a sugar mama! Hey, kid, if you ever fall on hard times, remember to look me up! My arms will always be open for you!"
In the distance, the courier’s figure wobbled, and he nearly fell out of the sky.
’Hard pass.’
’Absolutely not.’
「All over the city.」
Packages drifted down from above.
"Greetings, Cultivator. Your express delivery has arrived."
"Package for Sue! Who’s Sue? The address is right, but nobody’s here?"
"Coming, coming! It’s for me!"
The female cultivator received her express package, tore it open, and took out the Elixir Pills inside.
Her friend, seeing a stall selling Elixir Pills just a short distance away, couldn’t help but scratch her head. "Junior Sister... there’s a shop selling Elixir Pills right over there. Why are you still buying them on your phone?"
"Don’t you know, Senior Sister? It’s two Spirit Stones cheaper on the phone! I’ve bought them before—the quality of the Elixir Pills is exactly the same, there’s no issue at all."
Exactly.
Not only was buying on the phone convenient with its door-to-door delivery, but more importantly, it was much cheaper. Spirit Stones don’t just grow on trees, so why would anyone spend a fortune on something expensive when they could buy it for less?
Whatever anyone else in The Cultivation World was feeling, The Demonic Sects, led by the Bloodfiend Den, were absolutely raking it in.
Even they hadn’t expected live-stream shopping to be such a massive hit. It had completely cleared out a century’s worth of their backlogged inventory in one fell swoop.
The Bloodfiend Den had been the first to start selling goods via online live-streams. After they’d been at it for half a month, the other powers within The Demonic Sects quickly followed suit.
Now, they had all joined the online live-stream shopping trend. All sorts of videos and broadcasts had been launched. They only had to pay a monthly platform fee of one-tenth of their total sales revenue.
And what about not paying, or short-changing the fee? That was out of the question. Who would be suicidal enough to owe money to The Blood-Venerate? Besides, the total monthly transactions were all displayed publicly; there was no faking the accounts.
A mere ten percent was no problem at all for the other factions. After all, the Bloodfiend Den had provided them with this incredible money-making method. They would have gladly accepted even a seventy-thirty split.
The live-stream shopping boom continued unabated for two whole months.
Only recently had the flood of orders finally begun to slow.
This time, when they tallied the accounts, they couldn’t help but gasp in shock.
"This time, we’ve earned one million supreme-grade spirit stones, three million top-grade spirit stones, one hundred million Mid-grade Spirit Stones, and an additional five billion low-grade spirit stones."
"HISS... I’ve never seen so many Spirit Stones in my entire life."
To think they had earned so many Cultivation Resources in just two short months. The ordinary spirit stones were one thing, but the one million supreme-grade spirit stones were the real prize.
In the past, this would have been something they wouldn’t even dare to dream of.
「In the Council Hall.」
All the senior members of the Bloodfiend Den were present.
Javier Sinclair sat at the head of the table. He, too, found the amount of Cultivation Resources recorded in the ledgers hard to believe.
"This much..."
He glanced to his side, at Celeste Grant, who was seated to his right.
Celeste Grant offered a faint smile.
"So, how does it feel? Getting rich overnight is a pretty great feeling, isn’t it?"
Javier Sinclair nodded, his voice low. "It is."
His gaze swept across the room, taking in the looks of utter respect and admiration they all had for her. A flash of pride went through Javier Sinclair.
’That’s my wife.’
At that thought, Javier Sinclair turned to her and said, "Celeste, you’re truly incredible. You’ve earned me the right to be a kept man entirely on your own merit."
His words made everyone in the room choke.
Celeste Grant froze for a second before breaking into laughter. She patted him on the shoulder, shooting him a playful glare with her beautiful eyes. "You Archfiend. You really have to say the most shocking thing possible, don’t you?"
