"With a love rival, are you going to keep me locked in the office and not let me leave work?" Camila Ruiz asked again with amusement.

"Do I look like such a useless man? With a rival, of course, I'll confront them face to face," Jimmy Horne said seriously. He really didn't like Camila lumping him in with useless men. ๐˜ง๐“‡๐‘’๐‘’๐‘คโ„ฏ๐‘๐“ƒ๐˜ฐ๐‘ฃโ„ฏ๐˜ญ.๐˜คโ„ด๐˜ฎ

"Look at you, your face is as stiff as marble," Camila teased him.

"Like a dog."

Camila blushed and stood up, pouting.

"Camila, do you have a dagger?"

Jimmy suddenly asked, his deep eyes twinkling with mischief, as if plotting some prank.

"No, what do you want it for? A brawl? Billy, don't hurt anyone, it's illegal. Even if your status could exempt you from any legal punishment, I don't want you doing anything illegal. Don't disregard life and the law!" Camila immediately urged him, fearing that Jimmy would want the dagger to fight with Joseph Colson.

The consortium is formidable, but she truly didn't want Jimmy to become a Demon of the underworld.

Jimmy chuckled softly twice.

Looking at his beloved little woman, he leaned close and said hoarsely, "Don't worry, I'm not a killer. I need the dagger for something, but definitely not to hurt anyone. I promise with my character, I absolutely won't hurt anyone."

Camila stared steadily at him, seeing not a trace of deceit in his eyes, and only then did she reply, "There's a fruit knife, will that do?"

Jimmy nodded.

Camila went to find him a fruit knife, which she usually used to peel apples. It was very sharp.

She handed the fruit knife to Jimmy, who hid it in his right sleeve, gripping the blade while picking up her handbag. From the outside, it looked as if he was just helping her with her bag, and no one would notice that he was holding a knife.

"Billy, you might hurt yourself accidentally," Camila called softly.

Jimmy extended his left arm, hooked it, and hugged her shoulder, leading her out of the office while reassuring her, "With my skills, a small fruit knife won't harm me."

"What do you actually need it for?"

Camila felt that Jimmy seemed a bit strange at the moment. Asking for a knife for no reason, he must have some trick up his sleeve for dealing with Joseph Colson outside.

This man, though in a high position, quite liked playing pranks nonsensically. Previously at the base, those old men were scared of him, couldn't deal with him, and were always threatened by him.

"Don't ask. It's not for harming anyone, anyway."

Jimmy smiled faintly, with an inscrutable demeanor.

Jimmy's two bodyguards stood guard outside the office. When they saw Jimmy coming out with Camila in his arms, they silently followed.

The Plum Blossom Office outside was already empty.

The four of them entered the elevator and quickly descended to the first floor.

Outside the company, Joseph Colson had not left. He waited patiently in his car for Camila to come out. Seeing Jimmy with his arm around Camila, his eyes flickered, but his expression did not change.

He took the large bouquet of roses. After his bodyguard opened the car door for him, he elegantly got out of the car, holding the flowers and approaching Camila.

"Miss Ruiz,"

Joseph called softly, not even smiling.

He likely never genuinely smiles, Camila mused as she looked at Joseph's face, similar to Charles Colson's, in her mind.

Joseph, with four bodyguards, approached Camila. His bodyguards lined up, standing side by side, instantly boosting his imposing manner significantly.

Camila and Jimmy stopped. Jimmy's two bodyguards coldly watched Joseph's four bodyguards, neither showing any timidity due to their outnumbered situation. Instead, they glared back with colder, more ruthless, and prouder eyes.

The bodyguards of the successor of the consortium carried guns, which outsiders couldn't see. This was why they were colder and more ruthless than Joseph's bodyguards, because they were armed!

Joseph flashed what might count as a faint smile, handing the bouquet of roses to Camila in front of Jimmy, saying, "Miss Ruiz, these flowers are for you."

Camila looked at the flowers, then at Joseph, and finally at Jimmy holding her. Jimmy's gaze was cold, like a blade or sword cutting toward Joseph.

"Mr. Colson, thank you, but Camila can't accept these flowers. She doesn't like receiving flowers from anyone other than me." Jimmy released his hold on Camila's shoulder and calmly took the bouquet from Joseph. He walked over to Joseph's car. Joseph's bodyguards watched him nervously, but he simply placed the bouquet on the hood of Joseph's Lamborghini, casually saying, "These flowers suit your car's hood."

Joseph looked at him but said nothing, not even altering his gaze.

Once Jimmy was not by her side, Camila took another good look at Joseph. Besides looking similar to Charles Colson, he seemed more composed and introverted than Charles, with a stronger air of gloominess. No wonder he could control the Colson Consortium; he certainly had some capability.

Thinking of Crystal, Camila politely spoke up, her tone indifferent: "Mr. Colson, is Crystal alright?"

Joseph smiled slightly, looking at Camila. "She's fine. I discharged her from the hospital this morning. Miss Ruiz, whatever happened, thank you, the incident with Crystal wasn't your fault."

Camila smiled but didn't continue, her face clearly showing a sense of detachment.

"Miss Ruiz, may I invite you to dinner?" Joseph inquired gentlemanly, very politely.

Camila looked past his figure, her gaze fixing on Jimmy.

Joseph, too, turned his head following her gaze toward Jimmy.

Both of them noticed Jimmy circling Joseph's Lamborghini as if he had never seen a luxury car before. His eyes were full of envy as he clicked his tongue and praised, "Nice car, nice car indeed."

Joseph blinked, a trace of ridicule quickly passing through his eyes.

The Black Emperor Group wasn't highly ranked in T City? Yet this successor, Jimmy, was so envious of his Lamborghini. Looking again at the black Mercedes not far away, the ridicule in Joseph's eyes deepened. Mercedes was good, but it still couldn't compare to his Lamborghini.
