The sudden sound of the door opening startled both people on the phone.

Thomas Fisher instinctively looked toward the door and saw his mother, Autumn York. His eyebrows furrowed instantly.

"I’ll call you back later." He quickly said to the person on the other end before hanging up, already knowing that his mom was angry about the situation between him and her.

"Mom! Can you knock before coming in next time? What if I’m in the shower? It’s not appropriate to just come in like that. I’m not a child anymore," Thomas said, watching Autumn enter the room. He noticed that she stared at him with the same expression since she came in.

He immediately sensed trouble. Knowing his mom, she was very, very angry, genuinely angry, otherwise she wouldn’t have interrupted him mid-sentence.

Autumn stared coldly at Thomas for a while before walking over. She stopped a meter away from him.

"Finished talking?" she asked, looking down at him sitting on the bed.

"I’m done for now. What do you want to say?" Thomas remained seated at the edge of the bed, bracing for the storm his mother was about to unleash on him.

Autumn let out a long sigh to calm her anger before speaking again: "Son! There are no other women in the world? Why must you go after your good brother’s wife?"

"Who told you all this?" Thomas tilted his head up, looking at Autumn who was closing in on him. He hadn’t had a chance to speak before someone else got ahead of him.

Who was that someone? His third brother? Impossible, his third brother wouldn’t tell their mom about this.

Then who was it? Could it have been Aunt Liu?

Autumn’s next words confirmed Thomas’s suspicions. "What? Thought I was wronging you? Aunt Liu just called me and personally told me."

"Son! I’m embarrassed for you. How could you do such a thing? That woman is your good brother’s wife. What were you thinking?" She rubbed her face, her brow tightly furrowed, her face showing restrained anger.

Earlier, after Thomas went upstairs, Cedric Fisher was about to discuss Thomas and Alice Turner’s situation with Autumn York, but before he could, Autumn received a call from Isla Lane.
