Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap
Chapter 1120: Not as Serious as You Think
Easton Holmes never meant that, he only mentioned it because he thought Thomas Fisher should know about it, he had no other intentions.
Both of them are his good brothers, he is equally close to both, and he doesn’t want either of them to get hurt.
"I just wanted to let you know, you ought to have the right to know." He looked at his young brother in front of him, with a calm expression.
"How did Third Brother get hurt?" Thomas Fisher asked casually earlier, not really believing it in his heart, he looked at his elder brother, similarly calm.
Easton Holmes was not entirely sure about what happened at the Turner Family’s place that evening. If Alice Turner hadn’t come into the room to call for help, he wouldn’t have known Benjamin Shaw had gone to the house.
When they came out, Benjamin Shaw was already unconscious on the ground. At the time, they were only focused on getting Benjamin Shaw to safety, no one asked for details. Alice Turner simply said she pushed Benjamin Shaw, but none of them knew why she pushed him.
Earlier, after everyone had left, Easton Holmes intended to ask about it, but Benjamin Shaw kept dodging; he asked for a long time without getting anything substantial.
"It’s said that Alice Turner pushed him to the ground, causing the injury." He was unsure what exactly happened and could only say it vaguely.
"How could this be possible? How could Alice have pushed Third Brother down?" Thomas Fisher knew that Alice Turner was stronger than most women, but she wasn’t strong enough to overpower a man, he was clear about that too.
Seeing Thomas Fisher’s disbelief, Easton Holmes reminded him, "Benjamin had been drinking."
Drunk people are naturally less stable, easily toppled by a push.
"...Oh." Thomas Fisher was taken aback, then slowly nodded, "What does a moderate concussion mean? Is it serious?"
He was ignorant of these medical terms, it sounded quite severe.
"It’s not as serious as you think; a couple of days of observation in the hospital, and he can be discharged if nothing’s wrong." Easton Holmes could see Thomas Fisher was anxious about Benjamin Shaw’s condition, so he added another sentence, "Besides, Benjamin isn’t that fragile."
If he wasn’t drunk, Easton believed his brother wouldn’t be pushed down. It was just a fall, nothing too serious.
Hearing Easton Holmes say this, Thomas Fisher felt much more relieved, but still couldn’t completely relax. He sighed deeply, "Big Brother! You should go back, I’ll stay with Third Brother."
He wanted to stay the night; even if Third Brother’s injury wasn’t caused by Alice, he wanted to stay the night.
"No, you should go back." Easton Holmes refused Thomas Fisher’s request to stay overnight. Since Benjamin Shaw was hurt because of Alice Turner, with Thomas Fisher and Alice Turner now together, Benjamin Shaw surely wouldn’t feel comfortable. The doctor said he needed peace now, no more agitation.
Thomas Fisher could understand why Easton Holmes wanted to prevent him from staying, but he didn’t see it that way. He felt it was more suitable for him to stay; they needed to talk freely, holding things in was easy to cause knots.
"Big Brother! You should go back, your wife is pregnant and she needs your care, plus you need to get up early tomorrow for training." To persuade Easton Holmes to leave, Thomas Fisher gave him the two reasons he should go back.
